GMG Arc or Tartarus

 

 

You got to pick one...

 

 

There's one thing I wanna know what made Grand Magic Games a good arc? cause I kinda found it boring and dumb at most places.

I know I was getting a little worried after the ending with the last chapter, but damn Ajeel is looking really promising so far. How did you feel about the fight 4life? I kinda feel like it was sort of cut short or do you think it was proper paced?

Like the chapter title, this was an escape battle more so than fight to win. Thankfully, that was the case as well as the other Fairy Tail being there to be rescuer more so than "we got reinforcements! Let's fight!" Now the war is declared.

Nah all they showed was how strong Laxus got, the others didn't get a chance to show their strength, Hiro's still doing the same old thing, come next time they meet we'll find out how much Team Natsu were holding back. He did the exact same thing after the seven year time skip, they tried to show how weak they all were now compared to the new guys, only at the end they were shown to be stronger than the opponants.

 

I think I spent most of this chapter expecting Laxus or someone else to do something that saved Gramps again....honestly kill that guy already, his almost dying routine got old on the island.

My boy Laxus though! The only person in the guild that Natsu would have trouble with. Dude is a beast.

Well that was last arc and OS arc, which annoyed me. In OS arc, they got beat. Then the same day they went back and they won. Ok. The last arc, they defeat one of the demons in first try (note: not talking about Laxus and his team, rather the one with Natsu and Afro Happy), so here they got defeated twice. If it's more team work like last half of Tartarous Arc (minus Erza), I'll be fine. Unless they get an intense deus ex machina training, I don't see them beating them solo with maybe few exception.

I wouldn't say this is that different, but it's more like I'll give it a chance different. Again, you look back others, they weren't good keeping hype. As of now, no one got defeated, no one went back and somehow won, and most importantly, war is declared, forcing many others to work together.

Yeah I mean not that I don't see all these events coming or playing out but If I just keep telling myself I've seen this before it's getting old I won't be able to enjoy it. This series is a common ground for me and my mom in the manga/anime department.  Oh speaking of which I finally got her to read the manga by getting a manga app for her on her phone. she's near the end of the Tartaros arc and She's really enjoying it!

That arc could have been good but yeah, there were problems that didn't suit me well and it felt too easy.

Uuuh she didn't give me an opinion on it and since it's been two years since she watched the original series I don't think she would be able to give me a fair judgement cause she sometimes forgets some of the events. Oh well she still loves this series to death cause she is always a fan of settings with Magic.

The concept between a parallel universe was just fascinating seeing everyone having different personalties gave the arc an interesting spin when you compared it to the normal counterparts. The whole revelation behind the Mystogan and Jellal confusion getting cleared up in this arc was a huge plus, but also seeing how his character was in contrast to how Jellal was. Happy and Carla having a huge role in the arc, that I didn't see coming like woah Happy's role in this arc just stunned me alongside Carla. The twist of how Lisanna wasn't actually dead was really a good move on Hiro's part. Also considering how crucial Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy played in this arc as well.  

 

 

That is why I loved The Edolas Arc.

I may have to read more on it again as I didn't have a good opinion on it. I was a bit more on the negative side at the time but I do think the arc does have good points. I guess some parts did bother me but perhaps too much back then. I'll read it again to get a different insight. Remembering some parts, it really wasn't bad as I remember. I just thought the villains were the low points of the arc as they were just there. I did enjoy the first ever triple team of Dragon Slayers. I didn't like the cheapen effect of Lisanna being alive but at the same time, it did make sense and for the most part, it negates the downside to it, so I didn't mind too much anymore.

Funny, because I remember in anime, I actually like it and that was later than the manga, so most likely, I was being too harsh on it. I was young. Lol.

Yeah, those feels were too much for me XD I ship Erza and Natsu as well as Natsu and Lucy. NaZa >>>>>>>>>> Jerza because Jerza is terrible and grody lol

Thoughts:

 

Every few episodes = FEELS TRAIN (i'm actually glad that i've watched it cuz the OST is pretty good and really hits u in the feels)

 

NatsuErza Feels is too strong. Tho it's evident that she wants Jellal T____T

 

Me; "Oh fudge, Mystogan is freakin awe... nope nvm.. he seems to look like (or possibly) be Jellal ,, so nope.

 

Natsu / gray friendship > Naruto / Sasuke

 

Lucy is Kawaii but Erza is the best grill (for now?)

 

Laxus is cool in the end. I like him. Hopefully he does'nt turn evil.

 

I can't remember how many times i teared up

 

FAIRY TAIL IS AWESOME.
