I write to learn how to accept constructive criticism better than I do now.

Above that, I also write because I can make my own ideas literal reality instead of hoping somebody else has done it.

I write to...pretty much exactly what applesandtea said. For instance, the current anime I am working on a story for has a strange plot and lots of holes I think I could patch up and manipulate if I do it just right. It feels like I'm doing it justice; just feels good (:
