Embedded MP3 Music Bar Options

I noticed NF has a cool MP3 music bar function with Youtube [YMP3] [/YMP3], I think it would be pretty cool for signatures and the forum in general on H&E to have.

No prob, hopefully I'll be able to look at it this Friday, before I go away for the weekend. I should be able to fix the video Youtube on that day as well, providing they haven't made too many changes to their code.

OK, I've updated the Youtube code so it's fully working, and looks nice and shiny.

The MP3 player isn't so straightforward; it seems like NarutoForums is using a customised player - Youtube only offers video players, and there is no audio-only option. You can still use the normal Youtube tag for music videos, though.

I've googled for music websites, but I haven't found any Youtube-like website that allows you to embed players yet.

I'm not quite sure either but i believe Smiter would have to embed the code on his end since he's the site creator.

Thanks for the link, Dreamer. I can see how it works, it's simply a change of the width/height settings for the Youtube player. I had thought that changing those would simply end up in a tiny screen and tiny controls.

I'll try implementing it now, hopefully I can get it fully working before I have to go to work in 15 mins.

OK, got a working code now:



Hopefully this works well. It's the youmusic tag, and it works the same way as the youtube tag.

Now off to work!

Oh ok, what you need to do is this [*youmusic] inside of this is the url to the lnk, its pretty much the same thing as the youtube code. [*/youmusic].

Of course you minus the *. Now what this does is pretty much play the video, but it only has audio and no video, which might remove some clutter in the music interest threads.

For example, I have this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKBH8G-5AR0, and I just put everything that's after the = sign in it.



If you need a better look at the code, hit the quote button under my post, and then hit the reply button and just look at the code under youmusic.
