I was glancing over the site's stats, and I noticed that the record for most members online at the same time EVER was 716... well, considering the fact that we've got thousands of members, I thought that was sort of sad. I just wanted to set a new record and try to get as many users on as possible!

Kind of sad? 
I respectfully disagree. That's actually a rather LARGE number for a forum of our size, and I'm quite pleased with that number, so I don't really see a need to purposely try to strain our servers to gain 'more' stats.
