NejixTen is certainly interesting. i have mixed emotions about the couple. Neji is a near carbon copy of Sasuke on a slightly less emo track. TenTen is just that, TenTen. She is a decent character who needs development. All in all they are a decent couple that could last.

i have to say that itspretty much like team 7 lee being naruto tenten being sakura and neji being sasuke nejiten reminds me of sasusaku leeten reminds me of narusaku but i really dont care much just bringing that up...

This is a very interesting topic. I am trying to write fanfiction involving Naruto and the rest of the gang. and Narusaku is going to be the main pairing. However, I am having troubles pairing up others. The couples that are seriously confusing are Nejiten, Leeten, NejiHina or KibaHina.
If I go with Nejiten, then it sometimes feels like a repeat of Sasusaku with Tenten sometimes being more fangirly or both Neji and Tenten being OC.
With Leeten we only have that scene where Tenten was looking at Lee while he was training but their interaction still seems natural and somewhat Narusakuish, which I don't mind but Leeten still comes out as a different couple with not so much OC.
Now NejiHina is something that seems plausible. Here's my reasoning for it. If Hyuuga clan can put the seal on the members of their family to protect its secrets, do you seriously think they would allow their family members to marry outside of the family. As far as we know everyone in their family has the byakugan and its not like Sharingan, which only appears in certain members. Also consider this Hinata is the heir to the Hyuuga family and Neji is considered the strongest Hyuuga, don't you think their family would try to make them marry each other in hopes of creating a stronger future generation? From whatever description we have been given we can deduce that Hyuuga's follow aristocratic monarchy, which would provide the basis of their relationship and if we look at it this way NejiHina might be forced.
However, Kishimoto has shown that both Neji and Hinata are blood related. They are 1st cousins and Hinata calls him Neji-niisan or somthing like that. Even in the royal families I don't think they marry their 1st cousins. Usually its more distant cousins and therefore less of a prior relation. So if we look at it this way NejiHina shouldn't happen.
Lastly we have KibaHina. If this were to happen first of all it would dilute the Hyuuga bloodline which I think they would be thoroughly against. Second Kiba knows about Hinata's crush on Naruto and I think he would always feel insecure that Hinata might not like him as much or somthing. I don't think Hinata sees Kiba the same way he does. (But thats just my opinion)
so there you go. Its a big predicament I have right now. I mean if I want to pair up the couples later on in the story I seriously don't know what I will do or how lol. Any suggestions might help

I prefer LeeTen. Mainly because I like Hyuugacest. I just can´t picture Neji with Tenten, plus I agree with the person above with his/her theory on Hyuugacest. NejiTen, at least for me, seems a bit superficial, just like SasuSaku.....

I agree with you Ashley-san... :shamefulcry0js: But I guess NejiTen really have a different effect for me, although I see Sasuke sometimes as a photocopy of Neji(reason why I like SasuTen too but I don't see them of much as the same in personalities, just the arrogance?
...) I am and always be a NejiTen fan... 
Maybe because I don't see Tenten as Sakura?
Their too different for my taste..^^ While they have characteristics that are alike... each Naruto characters are very different for each other (yes we all know that 
), it depends on how Kishimoto-san portrays them (especially Sakura and Tenten, the former having more chances for character development and stuff)... xD

You got to admit that in a way it´s similar. NejiTen is usually portrayed this way, that Tenten likes Neji because he is strong, cool, a prodigy, etc. I don´t like it only because it´s superficial, I also don´t like it because I hate how people portray Tenten in NejiTen. Since Tenten doesn´t have much personality developed at the moment, people tend to make up a kind of personality for her, which in NejiTen is quite distasteful for me since I really like Tenten. They portray her in a fangirl way that I really hate, most Nejiten fics contain a Tenten with that kind of personality (the ones I have read anyway).

...I am a very very hard-core NejiTen fan. I love this coupling, and you might even say this is my NARUTO OTP. Yes, I adore them.
And I love Tenten. My favorite kunoichi of all time would be her. Her lack of history and depth is what's so interesting about Tenten. You speculate on a lot of things, you guess. You do a lot of guessing with who and what Tenten is. And she's not the same as any other kunoichi in the whole series. At least I think so. Why compare Tenten to Sakura when they're two different individuals? Sakura, at least pre-timeskip, is very hooked on Sasuke and is much more "hyper". While Tenten might be praising Neji, it's not like Sakura's way. Because Tenten knows what Neji can do, and she's confident about him. After all, they train together all the time.
As for the fact that Tenten doesn't open up; I think she opens up to Neji more than everybody. The fact that they're always together shows how Neji only sees her as the one he can actually open up to. If you notice, he only trains with her. He could train with Gai or Lee, but instead he chose to train with Tenten, why? Because he finds her to be appealing. (Well I think so, and I want so. XD)
But I guess the fact that most people don't see this pairing working out is because Kishi hasn't really driven into this team much more yet, along with Tenten's history. Because I betcha, there's more to her than meets the eye. (S'why I love her.)
NejiTen can work as much as any other pairing, the only obstacle is that we need to see them interact more. But really, Neji and Tenten are always together, and mostly agrees to everything together, and will always be by each other's side. They've got this trust that's been built in between them, and I think that it'll hold their growing friendship, which might grow into something else.
LeeTen isn't as appealing as NejiTen, to me. Because I merely see Tenten and Lee as siblings. Oh but wait-- the blush! Oh yeah, the blush. Well, if one of your close friends, that're guys, are doing so well, wouldn't you feel happy? Maybe even blush a bit? Tenten blushes, she's a girl. That's natural. How could you blush around Pre-timeskip Neji when he's so cold? It'll be awfully hard for a girl like Tenten. But I think that right after Naruto knocked some senses into Neji, he has opened up more and that's the time where a NejiTen love just might bloom. Because it's always been Tenten who's been there for him, and now that he's more open, he can let her in.
I don't think NejiTen = SasuSaku. Because first, Neji's character is that off a person who easily gets annoyed. The fact that he's more open now makes him so much more different than Sasuke. Sasuke who gets annoyed easily, has a deep and much more bloody past. And really, the story revolves around Sasuke so that's a big difference. Neji's history is more of a side story. Sakura and Tenten may be "fangirly"--let's face it, they're girls. All girls have that side. Especially around guys that are attractive, lulz.
Again, I don't want to change other opinions, but these are just some of my thoughts about this pairing. No bashing intended.

I'm definately a Neji/Ten-Ten fan. I think they would work out well together.
I'm not sure how the Hyuuga bloodline thing would work with that, with the Clan rules and all. The only thing that I can think is that, like with others of the Clan that marry, they stay on the Hyuuga compound, and their spouse must move in with them, because the kids are bound to have the Byakugan, too.
Or does the cursed seal stop them from being able to pass on the gene? That's something that I wonder about too. Thoughts, anyone?

Well, I don't care if there will be NejiTenTen or not. I would prefer NejiHinata but really, I don't care that much about the other pairings as long as NaruSaku happens.
But, I'm pretty sure that NejiTenten will not happen. There never was anything between them. Scenes like the one in Shippuden ep. 14 doesn't mean anything. God, he just helped her. And there is nothing happening between them in the manga either. So, no, I don't think NejiTenten will happen.
The manga doesn't have time for other pairings besides Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke and maybe Hinata ( ) now that she seems to have a bigger role in the current arc.

I've always been a LeeTen fan mostly because it seems to work. I have to agree with the above poster although because besides than the relationship that Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke have their will probably be nothing, maybe some interaction with Hinata but thats not for sure. Ino seems to have given up on Sasuke now and I have seen many a scene that shows Sakura has less feelings him also.
All in all someone said that Kish wanted to add some romance to Part 2 but what exactly he means by that I'm not too sure. In the end we might have too wait and see if theirs a Part 3 in a couple years or so.

I´m kind of neutral with all the Tenten pairings in fact ( though I prefer LeeTen more), since every pairing that includes her if kind of crack. I hope she gets some development.... since she is the kunoichi I like more out of all of the others.

that goes the same for any other fandom, that is what you mean, ne? After all the manga merely revolves around Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke interaction... team 7... xD
But I guess that's why many people of any fandom have theories... they each have their own analyzations and interpretations and stuff.
So I guess people can't just claim and say NejiTenten can't happen...^^ because it'll be a double-eged sword...

I still wonder, with the caged bird seal, can the byakugan be passed down? Or does it stop, and it's only the main branch that can bare children that have the byakugan? I don't remember much of what the seal can do, just that the main family members can cause a lot of pain to a branch family member through the caged bird seal, and control whether they live or die, to protect the bloodline from being captured by enemies and the secrets discovered.
