Well looks like this chapter confirms that at some point the select behind midoria will be revealed to the class

Okay, I can reveal some stuff:

 

Chapter 284

Prepared for pissed off powered up Deku (at one point, he had the Katsuki pissed off face) vs. Tomura in the sky!!!

 

We received a flashback on how Izuku trying to use Black Whip's efficiency if he unlocks Float quirk. So the training session consisted of him and Katsuki  catching each other (Izuku had to use Black Whip on Katsuki and while Katsuki just using his Explosion). Unfortunately, Izuku lost so many times, that he sported an afro, thanks Kacchan!!! So Izuku asked Ochako, Tsuyu and Hanta for advice during the training session. Katsuki is given more character development, admitting his faults and treatment towards Izuku to All Might. 

 

Well, that counts as a Decako moment somewhat lol And as for Katsuki admitting his faults, that's fine. But it doesn't change the fact that his overall attitude is still has much left to be desired, But I know he won't change on that truly so that's whatever. I just still don't really like him as a character and don't get his popularity in Japan

Well that's a given. At some point, even the most slow witted characters will realize that whatever Izuku does with his other quirks is not related at all to his strength and notice he has more than a single quirk. Shoto caught on but he was either guillible enough to beilive Izuku's explanation or was indifferent ienough to say, "yeah okay".

Just glad I finally own the complete season set, and it gets me excited for when the Season 3 set comes out November 10.

The last scene is very ironic if you go back to Chapter 1. So originally the viewpoint of being a hero between the two are Izuku - Save, Katsuki - Win. Now it's going to be the opposite.

On a side note, even if a popular character in a manga WANTS to be killed off by their creator, obviously the editors would advise against it and try to coerce the creator to changing their mind, most imfamous example that haunts me to this day, Sasuke Uchiha. He is probably one of the banes of the entire franchise's existence , and I mean that story wise WAY WAY WAY before I would even bring up the implications he he brought to the shipping wars

the direction right now is 30/70 if it came to that decision.. I think the most obvious guess would be that Bakugou survives the fight because he is suppose to be the future No.2 hero... At least that's my guess given all the parallels we have between him and Endeavor.

 

That being said, I don't think that Shigaraki and Deku are gonna get out of this battle without being heavily injured or wounded, and my bold prediction is that Shigaraki and Deku will end up in the same situation as All Might and All for One before their final confrontation in the Hideout Raid Arc. 

 

By that I mean Deku and Shigaraki will still have access to their quirks, but it'll be at like a limited timeframe.
