#892566 Naruto Shippuden episode 441

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 12 December 2015 - 03:57 AM

It won't do you no good to get work up over this. Don't fall for their hypocrisy! Not worth the time. Just play along gently with them.

sorry

I don't think dexter and the other guy are the same person. Honestly i think dexter that ember fellow and that kate anesuna and few other people that came on this site recently are this. Their either new fans of NS or people who watch the anime on toonami or bought the manga but didn't read the or watch it online. But they been hearing the news over the past year and have decided they wanted to check out this site. They are on the optimistic point in the naruto ending relationship before they slowly descend into pessimism and cynicism. We were "This got to be a mistake why would kishimoto do this? He gotta change it." Now we are "Kishi and SP and SJ went for the money in the us hoping it would be the big pot but instead they got burn and a too prideful and stubborn to change the ending." They are more "Well it been a year and look how bad it is doing they gotta turn this around if they want to save this franchise." And We are going "They are too stupid to do that they are just baiting us hoping to get some money to keep the series afloat. They ain't changing it." We have spent the last year watching Kishi and SP and SJ make stupid discussions that remove any faith we had in them. They just got here give it time and that will drain away. And if Dexter is a troll then he will get bored or slip up. But until then don't be rude please.

#892217 Kishi Made Us Hate Sakura? What do you think

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 09 December 2015 - 07:43 PM

how is it that hinata's portrayed as the shy, sweet QUIET girl...yet her fanbrats are LOUD, and obnoxious, can't they see they're just fueling the hate she has towards her already LOL

Cause their thin-skinned spoiled entitled brats the are probably in their mid twenties or teens?

#892177 Kishi Made Us Hate Sakura? What do you think

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 09 December 2015 - 09:16 AM

Bryon I think that way they can't just say "haters gonna hate" and then ignore us because they know it's a hollow Pyrrhic victory. Most are trying to deny it to keep a hold on their own center of logic since they refuse to see that they were wrong.

Let's look at the core what the nH and ss fans normal and radical wanted Naruto to end judging by discussion and fan fictions they had or made before the ending:

Naruto beats Sasuke and drags him back to the village.

Sakura thanks Naruto (maybe) then for some reason Sasuke falls in love with her (because of her devotion?) and they start dating then marry

With Sakura out of the picture their no one to get in hinata's way, and Naruto fall in love with hinata (because he realizes the she is the one that has always be there for him and she deserve him)

then naruto become hokage and everyone lives happily ever after

It may vary from person to person but that's ultimately what they wanted the ending to be.

Here what we the NS fans wanted:

Naruto defeats Sasuke and drag him back to the village

Sakura thanks Naruto for fulling his promise but has fallen in love with Naruto over the course of the series and out of love with Sasuke. So Naruto and Sakura get married

Naruto becomes hokage and everyone live happily ever after.

The reasons they don't like this varies from: well Sasuke and Hinata don't have any one, the don't want Sakura to be happy and hinata to not get what she wanted, they thought that the girls deserved the guys they wanted, or it was a sexual fantasy for them and they wouldn't let logic disturb it.

Now let look at the ending:

Naruto defeated Sasuke :D   ...more or less, and he came back to the village...,but then quickly left to do the redemption quest thing as soon as possible.

Sasuke show he may have feeling for Sakura :D   ...but everything after that forehead poke show that Sasuke barely interacted with her for over the next 15 years, and seem to go out of his way to ignore her and avoid her, and when had the gaiden basically just tears apart their relationship and didn't even bother to put any effort into the fix up

Naruto returns hinata feeling and they get a movie :D  ...a movie where she barely does anything and everyone else basically has to force Naruto to  love her in order for them to end up together and it even required a genjutsu for him to even realize her felling for him, which he didn't return until a kitten speech by Sakura.

Naruto became hokage :D ...a failure of a hokage that is also and awful father...also everyone looks utterly miserable with their lives or just pathetic.

...Is it any reason they can't ignore people criticizing the ending. Under any scrutiny it is a miserable train wreck and doesn't even seem to be the intended ending. So they have to shout us down to hide their own insecurities about the ending to feel better about the ending. Because if they arguing with us the have moral righteousness on their side since they are "respecting the author's decision and protecting him from harsh criticisms." Which allows them to not focus on the awful aspect of the ending.

#891991 So when did Kishi REALLY switch to NH?

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 08 December 2015 - 05:44 AM

Kishi really didn't switch till the last minute to be honest. His new editors were on board with the idea since the Pain arc but he was almost always on the fence.

Basically his new editor were on board and loved hinata and wanted to make her the love interest and the heroine. So they gave kishi the idea for hinata's love confession. Kishi did it probably to get Naruto out of the position he put him in for Pain to give his breaking speech, but didn't think it would be good idea to to switch out Sakura for hinata as the heroine and the love interest. Even he probably knew it was a bad idea. So he got into arguments with his editors and got other mangaka to support him (this is information we got from that post months ago) getting them to back off. The problem is that since he did the Hinata confession he needed to do a Sakura confession along with other thing to reestablish the she IS the heroine. The problem is the nH and  (to some degree) ss fans had gotten their fantasy coming true then see it quickly threatened. So embolden and nervous about their dream being under fire they sent hate mail to kishi with the intent to destroy Sakura. The editors sent the letters as well as some youtube reviews to kishi and he became surprised and was convinced that Sakura was hated by the fans. So the editors felt more confident about pushing Hinata while Kishi was less confident about Sakura then he was before.

So that led to the war arc where kishi went back and forth between showing us hinata scenes to please the fans and trying to "fix" Sakura so the fans would like her. Because he still wanted Sakura as the heroine and the love interest since she been that since the beginning and he had started to base more of her character off of his wife in part 2. But because he didn't think the fans liked her, he approved the last movie being about nH, and set up some background stuff just in case he couldn't make Sakura popular. To be honest even when he did something with hinata he barely used her at all and when he did it seemed to have a negative tone. Not that her fans cared of course since they just wanted to sexual fantasize about her. but in the end a good portion of SP wanted nH, his editors wanted nH, as far as they knew nH was beloved by the fans in the west, and the last movie was nH so the higher up told him to make it in nH. So he had to go a long as well as do those interview...and his reputation is now destroyed.

Also even he clearly thinks ss is bad but it was a "pairing the spares" thing with that mess.

I donno. I was asking you.

So they skipped over Hinata's IT from the manga.

They really haven't done any of the dreams from the manga they basically been doing their own.

Well again I haven't been keeping up with the anime just that someone from SP said on there twitter there was going to be a 3 part Hinata dream or something (This was back when the filler arc started)

This is also the one who was hopeful it would allow them to retcon away nH? As of now they haven't done hinata's IT but to me that means that they are going to have another filler arc eventually to pad out this series as much as possible. I know that IT dreams we have been seeing are Ten ten's, Karin's, and Tsunade's maybe a few other i don't know about but as of right now they haven't done hinata's and haven't announced it yet.

#891349 Boruto the movie is returning to American theatres

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 04 December 2015 - 06:05 AM

rocci is using the number I posted on the great discussion topic, but he only looking at number sold and not factoring cost, expectations and other factors.

Let look at the novels yes it was a decent 800,000 or so sold and put them high on the rankings but think of this "Do you think that the other light novels release the same number of novels this year?"Cause here is the thing they basically got several writers and shotgun out several novels in one year in one go hoping to get as much money as possible. Now again do you think the other light novels series did the same thing?

Next they lost according to dexter at least 60% of their fanbase in Japan. Is losing 60% of most anything a good thing? They were probably expecting some losses with the ending maybe 5-15% but they hope to keep as much as possible. And that just in Japan their main base what numbers do you think they are losing around the world?

Also it doesn't matter if Bolt and the gaiden is a spin off in your mind. Naruto is now a franchise. They can easily be seen as a continuation or a sequel of the series just as easily as you see them as a spin off. Let's go for an example let's say Fallout 4 sold 10 million but it sequel Fallout 5 only sold 1 million. Is that a good thing for the fallout franchise? Yes it still sold a million but it lost 9 million.

The thing is at the moment the Naruto franchise is surviving at the moment with it current number, when is suppose to be thriving. They were convince that IF they made the ending nH they would make so much money it would matter if the story made no sense because most of the fans would love it. Instead they lost most of their fans and are barely hanging on when they were expecting to be rolling in the money right now especially from the US.

#890027 I remember when...

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 28 November 2015 - 08:41 AM

The one thing that makes me laugh about this is when it came to supporting Sakura or being pro-Sakura....every opinion was silenced because many believed, and I am quoting a lot of people, that "if they said anything, they would be rude."

I see alot of times people don't want to say something because they don't want to be rude, but then sit back and watch as other people be truly rude to Kishimoto because he HAD to make NH canon and make it all about Hinata. We know NH fans sent him death threats and it might have been what turned it. Not that he was scared for his life, but rather because he got tired of them kittening all the time. So he gave them what they wanted, but not EXACTLY what they wanted because even he admits it would be an asspull.

What I don't get is that people are still be too quiet about all of this hoping these people are smart enough to get the hint, but they are not that smart. Say something...speak of, I say. Stop hiding and pretending that if you say something, it would be rude. You have every right to be angry now with the way the characters were treated.

I still don't get to this day how so many wanted NH and SS so bad, but still call Sakura a "terrible women" for sticking with Sasuke. Did they not want her to be with Sasuke or not? What the hell is wrong with these people? They are never satisfied even if they get what they wanted.

SS and nH were insert sexual fantasies for them. That's really it. Remember it was the anime most of these brats watch when they were in their teens. A lot of people who are a decade or so older than me are still upset that in digimon that tai and sora (I think their names are) didn't get together. While when i watch it i can barely remember those two interacting enough to care about it one way or the other.

#889826 Naruto Shippuden episode 439

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 27 November 2015 - 01:25 AM

From what I understood from other people all these fillers happen in IT. Tsunade is reading Jiraiya's novels/tales and what is going on is what is written in those novels. Basically Tsunade is having a dream in her infinite dream.

It's like Inception's dream within a dream. But bad.

This IT filler arc bs is just an excuse for 'what if' filler..granted that what it was probably intended for but they ain't even doing the dreams that were in the manga. They are just doing what if and going "oh it this person dream" but then you just have to go "Why is this person dreaming of this?" Example: "why is Tsunade dreaming or reading Jiraiya's book instead of literally anything else?"

#889499 Boruto - the movie

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 24 November 2015 - 02:52 PM

Any word on how this movie did?

The Last bombed horribly and theaters extended the showing of this movie in a desperate attempt to sell more (same happened with TL)

From what I hear everybody but SasuNaru fans didn't like it that much and yet I see it has one of the highest rated scores on Japan...its rated higher than The Dark Knight for god's sake.

Basically it was The Last for SNS fans. They like it because this time their pairing is getting some moments, and they are as easily lead as the nH and ss.

Let's face it the plot is terrible and it has a terrible message to children. The only reason it better than the last was because look at the director's interview. He used the last as an excuse to show off his snobby foreign art cred, while the writer only cared about hinata getting everything she wanted no matter how much logic would have to be twisted to make it happen. The also cared nothing about the character or the story other than maybe hinata. Kishi at least knows his characters and was at least trying to make a story his fans will want to see.

I'm not sure if it was successful or not but both in Japan and the US it sold more tickets than The Last did.

#889410 Why Did Orochimaru have a kid?

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 24 November 2015 - 12:16 AM

Cause kishi couldn't think of a third kids from a paring couple for team konohamaru so he pulled one out of his ass.

#889409 Boruto - the movie

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 24 November 2015 - 12:15 AM

Hinata literally spent the Last getting kidnapped/piggy backing off of Naruto 24/7. Sakura wasn't the heroine, but the good sis still got more done than Hinata ever could in the movie. Even in the Boruto movie, where Hinata is supposed to be more relevant has her being completely useless while Sakura actually saves a bunch of civilians along with the other kunoichi's (who are still more useful than the princess could ever be).

I'm honestly so confused. That girl has hardly done anything that can be considered heroine worthy. Everything she does is because of Naruto and its just sad as hell at this point. And I really don't get how Hinata just gets to have everything served to her on a silver platter while the other characters don't get jack sh**t.

Because people at SP have an obsession with her. The fact that the US nH fans exist is more of an excuse for them to continue justifying their fapping than a reason for her importance. And of course she doesn't have to do anything she doesn't have the character personality ability or appeal to accomplish anything.

#889220 What Happened During The Time Lapse At The End Of Naruto?

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 23 November 2015 - 02:52 PM

Ok so I haven’t gotten past episode 312 of Shippuden and I haven’t read the manga, but I cant find a direct answer for this.
How long was the time lapse between the end of the war and Naruto the last when he became Hokage? What happened in between those years and what made Naruto finally become Hokage?

How long was the time lapse between the end of the war, Naruto the last, and when he became Hokage?

Hold on let me think.....

War arc ended on Naruto's birthday so he was age 17.

(From the war arc to after the last: Those awful novels not sure if their canon or not.)

The Last happened two years later so Naruto age 19.

Is married to hinata (six mouths after the last) and has Bolt by age 20.

The inauguration one shot bolt salad and the daughter look close to what they do in the gaiden and bolt movie. So Naruto became Hokage somewhere between age 29-31.

The gaiden happen right before graduation so Naruto was 32 when that happen.

And finally The bolt movie Team Konohamaru had already been at it for awhile so Naruto age 33.

What happened in between those years and what made Naruto finally become Hokage?

Oh that one is much easier to answer...Nothing. He did nothing to earn the title of Hokage. Absolutely nothing. As far as I can tell Kakashi got bored and wanted to retire and Shikamaru didn't want the job. So they gave it to Naruto.

#888983 Boruto - the movie

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 22 November 2015 - 06:27 PM

Yes, I saw that too and it gave me pause. What exactly does that mean? Was Toneri supposed to be the main character? Or was it Hinata? (Which technically it was anyway.) This says to me that the movie was originally supposed to center around Toneri with Naruto appearing only to save Hinata, but they decided to turn it into a super-romance instead of an action movie, with Hinata acting as heroine/damsel-in-distress. I think this line is very revealing that they didn't care at all about the manga series. They had other ideas for characters, and Naruto was just to play a supporting role (which technically he did).

I been wondering that for the past 5 hours i don't think you're wrong but i don't think it was originally focus on Toneri. Remember this is kishi asking the director and writer to make sure Naruto is the main character of a movie call Naruto: The Last Movie. Kishi felt concerned enough to request this and this director felt it was a moment worth telling again with pride as a funny story about the movie production. Why would kishi feel concerned enough to think that Naruto may not be the main character?

Here what i think happened it was obvious that their were probably already planning going on before the meeting about what the movie was going to be about and they were going to kishi with their pitch to get his approval for the movie. So it most likely that kishi had already heard what SP wanted to make the final movie about and the rumor probably was that it was going to be a nH love story focused on hinata. Kishi was on the fence about the pairing until the very last chapter so while he did give his thumbs up he still wanted it to be about Naruto as the main character.

So i think it was originally a story about hinata as the main character trying to win Naruto love before anything else was added.

Honestly, this to me says that they came up with some highly marketable scenes/gimmicks and then reversed-engineered a movie around them.

Yep. They came up with images and scene to get the easily swayed to fall for the romance before they even thought up a thing about the plot.

There is a lot of style over substance, which doesn't bother me so much except that the movie has turned into the animators Love Note to Hinata in the same way the manga ended up being Kishimoto's Love Note to Sasuke.

The time/intention spent on the Hyuugas family home, the fact that they made Hinata have a famous pose, even though it was Naruto's last movie, makes me certain that this was just an NH fanfic run amok.

They say it was about Naruto's last movie so they wanted impact, but all the scenes and all emphasis is put completely on Hinata. Not an homage pose for Naruto, not a picture of his family home, not a villain specifically designed to attack him or something from his history. Nothing at all like that. It was a movie to build up Hinata's importance in a way the manga NEVER did, and then justify why they're together with completely false memories.

And you're exactly right, the fact that these ideas came from episodes rather than chapters really screams that these are the very people who pushed Hinata into the spotlight in the first place. This is completely Hinata's movie. Naruto was just along for the ride.

Once again you're right. This was just the director, the writer, and the animations teams love note to hinata. It was obvious before but this interview just removes any doubt. As for them using episode instead of the manga i notice that a long time ago. That why early on i kept bring up the episode of hinata's confession because that were the story of hinata being bullied and Naruto coming to her rescue came from. I already did a post recently where i put up what happened in the scene in the manga.

#888908 Boruto - the movie

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 22 November 2015 - 12:59 PM

"it was requested that we make Naruto the main character of the movie as opposed to having a guest character for this work"

Wait it had to be requested that Naruto be a main character in a movie called "NARUTO THE LAST MOVIE?" Who were they thinking would become the main character of the movie? That is what i want to know. That's stupid. How could he say this in a interview. Is he not self aware?

"From there, we thought about what Naruto was lacking, and came up with “romantic feelings.” It was decided that we would make Naruto’s last movie a “romance movie” instead of an “action movie.”

And look how it turned out from there. The thing people hated about it was that it was a movie solely focus on the romance the fact that the romance and how they got together were so poorly thought out and done just made it worse.

"Naruto wearing a red scarf, holding hands with Hinata and sprinting through a space with floating bubbles of light that projected their memories."

...That was the first idea that pop into their heads? The most ridiculous and corniest moment in the entire movie. This were the people behind that the last? If that the case then the last never had a chance at being good.

"For the story of this production, we thought backwards to what kind of episode we ought to make in order to tie to this scene."

So they built the entire movie around the scarf and this scene?...*throws arms up into the air* (Edit: Episode not chapter?)

"The Hyuuga residence in particular is an important setting when it first makes its appearance, so using the Hyuuga residence in the original work as a reference, we went on location to an old family mansion and remade the setting."

Didn't we kind of see the Hyuuga's residence in both the manga (before the time skip) and the anime (a lot of filler) already?

"We tried making the color scheme in the scene where Naruto confesses to Hinata like that of a Gogh painting, with the blue water and the shining golden butterflies."

God that sounds pretentious! And once again it all about images and looks and style and not story. The writer and director care more about how scene looks then what is said in those scenes!

"In the dream scene where Naruto, who is dense about romantic love, realizes Hinata’s feelings, it was interesting to mix up the order of the past episodes and put them together randomly like a puzzle. We thought of many patterns for how to put together the episodes until the current Naruto sees Hinata at the academy writing his name on her paper."

He wasn't "dense in figuring out romantic feeling" it just that he wasn't interest in dating hinata and was attracted to sakura. He knew what hinata's confession was and didn't reciprocate it. Once again style and look over what is said in the scene.

"I think it was difficult to come up with images for this work, and we originally created Toneri with an image like that of young Johnny Depp as Edward Scissorhands. Toneri can’t understand the feelings of others because he lived alone on the moon since he was young, and so he’s a character who lacks romance for reasons different from Naruto’s."

My god. Those idiots. Do they not get what he is saying. That means it was a rivalry and a competition between those two. So what we were saying about Naruto now only caring about hinata because it was a competition is right. Did anyone think he looked like that? He honestly look-like a generic white hair anime pretty boy.

We had the scenario checked by Kishimoto-sensei. I appreciate that amidst being busy with serialization, he kindly gave us various advice. He also wrote some of the important lines such as, “It takes time to knit a scarf.”

That not a line to be proud of... was that really the best kishi offered you for this story?!

By the way, we made sure to show the key shot of Hinata facing sideways. The side-facing heroine is homage to Alfred Hitchcock’s impressively produced “Vertigo” and director Nobuhiko Obayashi’s “Sabishinbou.”

Once again looks were more important than the story's plot.

Since this production is Naruto’s last movie, I tried to have fun while looking back on “Naruto’s memories,” then I put my feelings that this would be a work of everyone’s new “memories” into directing. I will be happy if this production always stays in the corner of everyone’s heart as a “memory.”

....Was that an admittance to the retcons??? Yes it will stay in the hearts of anime fans alright... with burning hatred, because for it to make money it basically had to steal from it's Japaneses audience. (Edit: everything else from that quote is too stupid to comment on)

Wait it wasn't kishimoto that came up with the stupid scarf idea but the writer or the movie...They were hoping on the idea of kishi saying it would soften up the fans to the movie before it even aired. Also hanabi you're right it "aesthetics over everything else." If that was the entire interview than the only time he came close to talking about anything story/plot related was the idea about toneri character and even then he messed up and talk pretentiously about what inspired his looks.

...Also one more thing notice how he keeps going on and on about getting ideas from episodes not chapters. So this was an anime inspired idea that gave little importance to the manga in was suppose to be canon to, and it suppose to be based off of.
