#901040 Hinata vs Pain

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 05 February 2016 - 05:15 AM

Wasn't this the only event that supported NaruHina really well or were there other stuff in the manga which hinted naruhina?

Supported? Nothing about nH was supported in the manga. You are thinking anime.

Other stuff... no. Their is nothing other then the hand holding after this scene.

#900872 what do you guys think about storm 4 ?

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 04 February 2016 - 06:21 AM

Wait if they did chapter 693...Then they actually kittening surpassed the anime!?! MY God! The anime is kittening spinning it wheels trying to delay getting into the kaguya fight as long as possible. And the game is already done with the story!? Why continue watching the anime you can already see how they will act out the scene 3 years down the line in Japan?

#900720 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Ah Lucky no no no no no. Salad and Spiderman's kid are not in the same ball park in regards to story. For one Salad exist for four reason: to give bolt team a female member and love interest, to confirm that SS happened, and an excuse to give drama to SS. The only reason why salad got a 10 chapter series according to kishi (someone mention he said this in an interview why we don't have a place to archive these thing for reference i ask) was because people had so many complaints about ss and he felt the need to clear it up. If not she would have just had a one shot like orochimaru's son and the daughter while Bolt got a movie.

Spidergirl doesn't need to exist to prove Mary Jane and Peter are dating/married because we have stories about their relation ship or at least show they are in a relationship. She not just a character for another legacy character to have sex with or a token female in a group/team. And peter life is already filled with drama with out a child in it already. And she got a series about her in her own right.

Also spidergirl show how peter and mary grew into a loving happy family that was able to find joy despite his work as a hero. SS is a train wreck that was to pair the spares and were given all the unfortunate implication that happened with the ending, and the gaiden just allowed it to be highlighted.

#900716 The Naruto Agree/Disagree Discussion Thread

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 03 February 2016 - 01:04 PM

What are we disagreeing with again? Did kishi intend to make SNS a big thing romantically? No, at least not at first. What he and his original editor wanted was rivalry turns to brotherly bond. To me he kept that till the end like NS. If anyone was pushing for the scenes to be more SNS it was probably the editors that dragged down the series. Let look at the series up until yahagi left the story was focused on Naruto for the most part and his feeling towards Sasuke was one of rivalry desire to bring him back to the village and desire to become brothers. After Yahagi left the story became increasingly Sasuke and uchiha focus and kept going on how Sasuke and Naruto were destine to fight that they were two sides of the same coin that they were soul mates that they were destine to be opposites all the focus on trying to prop up itachi yada yada yada.

After the last and in the Bolt movie he probably was going for SNS because to be honest what was left to the series by that point? nH ending was a mistake that destroyed the reputation of the franchise, he destroyed SS with the Gaiden, he stab NS in the back with the ending and had been burning that bridge ever since. He had to make sure the Bolt movie would be a success (at least compared to the last). No one was that interested or invested in BS. So what did he have left other than SNS!?

#900053 The 'Hinata' look and Naruto's popularity

The thing is the ending wasn't for SS it was for nH. Most of the people that worked on the anime in Japan figured that the story would end with certain pairing because of either NS or SS. Instead it was because of nH which more popular in the west.

#899541 Bum Kishi

Let's say Kishi goes broke and you see him dressed like Chester A. Bum asking for change and you see him on the streets, what do you say to him?

One how would i recognize that's even him? Two why would i be in Japan? After that pity him and if i had the money buy him lunch and point him to the nearest homeless shelter.

#899539 New Boruto Manga?

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 24 January 2016 - 03:14 AM

What will be interesting to me is whether Boruto the manga will be able to stand on its own, or if it will start to falter and have to bring back old characters to support it. Not just cameos here and there, but bringing back the some old character/story-lines on a permanent basis.

Have you seen the new characters? It can't stand on it own! It has to relies on nostalgia.

Look Neon what you're saying might be right about the shippers. But you said it yourself "JP doesn't care about ships." Which is why this nH/SS ending is still terrible and is costing them more than if they went with NS because the fact they had to destroy everything about the story people liked to make it happen. Which is why they are still losing more money then they were expecting and are not seeing the profits they were expect making them desperate enough to abandon both nH and SS and just rely on SNS for now.

#899192 My Final Realization Of What bothered Me About The Naruto Manga

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 21 January 2016 - 05:10 PM

He called it frustrating. He should have just ended at Itachi Arc. That or just have him bad from the point he said he wants to destroy Konoha and do nothing else until they fight. But instead, we got a flip flop switch every arc and just keep going circle.

Every arc!? We were lucky if Sasuke stay consistent for a single appearance/scene!

Edit: Also the fact he called it frustrating despite the fact Sasuke story is not that complex. Is him admitting he didn't know what he was doing with him.

I see. So technically, the Jump Festa interview of him doing a special Boruto one-shot doujinshi is false?

No that is the special one shot for the team member he hasn't focused on yet. So he can give that guy some character because he holding the hands of those clowns.

#898814 My Final Realization Of What bothered Me About The Naruto Manga

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 19 January 2016 - 04:33 AM

Hinata wasn't overly popular with the fan base but she was perceived to be.

Sorry it was late when I wrote that. Let me rephrase this. Hinata wasn't as overly popular as SP and SJ thought she was. But that is what they perceived because of her vocal fanatical fan base. Was Hinata popular enough for her to completely dominate the flow of the ending and rewrite the entire manga? No of course not. But SP and SJ thought she was based on both vocal fans reactions and desires in both kishi's and SP's staff.

Was hinata popular yes. But why was she popular? Well people already answered that I assume. But why wasn't she hated as Sakura but then suddenly got a lot of flack after the last? Simple her popularity was that of a minor/darkhorse character. People like her concept and then filled out her personality of what they wanted her to be, and that lead to a lot of people becoming fanatically devoted to her. The people that didn't like just ignored her because she wasn't that important to the plot. And if they did hate something about her it was her fanbase. But once the ending and the last happened they tried to move her to heroine status and she flopped. Because now people had to look at her and all her flaws. Which why they started to hide her after the Last and don't overly use her as much as they use to.

#898633 My Final Realization Of What bothered Me About The Naruto Manga

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 18 January 2016 - 09:46 AM

Kishi's editor created Sasuke and Sakura together and because they decided that Naruto need a rival and love interest to compete with Sasuke. Sakura's faith was pretty much decided then; and I mean that her purpose would only be a love interest, so that's probably why Kishi never gave much attention, he probably could have, but he already mention how the excess Sakura hate put him off from giving her a backstory and seeing her parents in the manga instead of a movie. He also had to put Kakashi back because he was too popular and he didn't want other characters to get more attention/ love than Naruto. Which sucks because Hinata pretty much got popular enough to get Naruto in the end instead of Sakura because she just was hated enough. This extreme Hinata love even got the point where they erased Sasuke from Naruto's life (The Last) which is a pretty feat to accomplish considering how popular SNS is.

The exact thing that happen that Kishi tried to avoid then happen. Popularity won out. If Sakura was likable to majority audience, NS might have been canon. I blame Kishi/SP, but the majority of the audience preferred Hinata who was developed even worse so I don't know how she became more liked than Sakura.

Hinata wasn't overly popular with the fan base but she was perceived to be.

#897539 Is Naruto the Last the worst movie?

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 11 January 2016 - 07:21 PM

More or less But Naruto doesn't mention the green scarf is his mother until he accepts Hinata's scarf. Then he proceeds to throw it away so he can wear hinata's. Also since hinata didn't know about it being his mothers scarf she thought it was from some other girl and was jealous. Behold the real conflict of the movie!
