U.S.A. did good in this, but we should stick to our own sports.

Ah, don't say that. We should embrace this sport as well as our other big ones.

Since U.S. did unexpectedly well in FIFA, they may have a good shot at the World Cup now eh?

I hope so, though I heard the number one buyer of tickets for the World Cup is the U.S.
On a side note, WTG Howard for the Golden Glove trophy.

Not my FC Dallas, worst promotion campaign ever. They decided to play games in a suberb 20 miles north east of the rest of the DFW metroplex.

I still think the game will truly take off when the youth levels aren't so structured and organized as merely a way to pass the time. Soccer is seen as a sport that's just there to give the kids to do something active and not get hurt till they get old enough to be weaned to another sport, especially for men since there is an inherent lack of toughness to the game. Seriously, in my local youth league, "everyone gets a trophy".
We need someone to make it big financially and recognition wise for kids to dream of becoming just like that one great player one day. I fully intend to get at least a B license for soccer coaching one day.

Well, theres a bunch of sports that were introduced here. Theres a rugby team here in philly thats been playing since the 1900s. My point is, the other sports have close ties to their communities, and americana as a whole.
When and if the US team starts winning consistently, then it will take off. They brought beckham over here and he ahd little effect on the general public. Because hes an english football player. People are going to want an american player to follow. Right now Landon Donavan is the most recognized player here.
