Since Kakashi is part of the core 4 (5 with Sai included, and Kishimoto has let you know that he is by having Kakashi acknowledge him as "part of Team 7". Yamato though is not, he's only a support character- note the lack of dialogue about his missing status...) characters it would make him far less likely to adopt a character completely created by the anime team, even from the faction that attempts to actually work with canon and attempts to write the characters personalities in canon. However, as a nod to them, (like he's done with Shippuden movie 3, where they actually consulted him directly-unlike the other movies- and resulting in the best movie out of the 7. It's likely they consulted him on the filler character designs, because instead of the usual generic character design that don't fit into the Narutoverse those actually looked right.) he used the character designs for a couple of the characters, just changed their names and origins- and likely hair colors too.) he may create a wartime romance for Kakashi with a kunoichi from another country. He might use that to get him past his guilt over Obito's death and deep sadness over not being able to follow his last promise to Obito and keep Rin safe, and that she died with her feelings for Kakashi unrequited because he just didn't feel that way about her.
