#823480 The Great Naruto Discussion Thread

Posted by Silentraider52 on 16 May 2015 - 05:32 AM

So far, the gaiden series hasn't been too bad for me. Though, what I'm disappointed in is Naruto and Sasuke's parenting. Now I didn't expect them to dote heavily on their kids, but I figured that since they both had such wretched childhoods, they'd at least do their best to make sure that their kids weren't disappointed but I guess I was wrong.

Kishimoto just about makes it seem like they care more about their jobs then they do about their own families. Naruto's always gone for his Hokage duty's (couldn't even seem to wait long enough to get lunch from his own son) and has shadow clones do the other work and Sasuke couldn't even come home once to at least check up on his wife and daughter for 12 whole kittening years (pardon my language). I did expect Sasuke to be gone most of the time but I didn't expect this cliche card.

In short, if this is Kishimoto's idea of parenting then he can go screw himself. Sorry, I had to vent.

On another note, I will say that I actually like Hinata a lot more than you guys and I have been wanting to see her lately, but I will say that if they barely show her in this Naruto: Gaiden and in the Boruto movie, then I'll ask the question: what was the point? What was the point of making Hinata Naruto's wife and have such an important role the the last Naruto movie if they don't even have her have an important role in this manga that the upcoming movie. Putting her on a high pedestal just to toss her aside, really? I've also been really wanting to see Himawari because I, unlike most of you, actually find her adorable but Kishimoto doesn't seem to want to show her either.

Before you all flare up on me, I am a devout Narusaku fan and even though it doesn't bother me as bad as it does other people, this whole ordeal still leaves a semi bad taste in my mouth. I knew it wouldn't be exact, but this is not how I imagined their future would be. Even though I'm enjoying the continuation, it is rather disappointing in comparison to what it could have been. Unless a lot of this is a reflection of how bad Kishimoto's life has become (if this is a low blow I'm sorry).

With that said, if the polls are true and if Kishimoto gets a lot of negative feedback from all of this, we just might get lucky and have a few things changed. I know this is a a miracle that's almost impossible to see happening, but we may even get the end of the anime to be different from the manga, such as having more proper action (not as rushed), better resolutions, and maybe even a Narusaku ending to it all. Like I said, I know it sounds impossible but I'd like to at least keep my mind open to the possibilities. For now at least, I'm just keeping myself content with reading the stories written by "thesaiyanjedi" on fanfiction.net (I highly recommend reading them because they're a lot better than what Kishimoto's been giving us. I'd change a few things for my own preference, but that's just me).

One final thing, then I'll finally shut up. I want some opinions. I've come up with my own version of the final battles and even The Last movie, but it includes an extra character that might throw a few things off because he's a bit of a deviant to say the least (to the story anyway). Should I write it all down and put it on fanfiction.net? I'm only hesitant because this would be my first time writing my on fan fiction story and I'm worried I'd disappoint people (not like it matters that much).

Thank you.

If this has been told here, forgive me for repeating it, but I found a VERY good (at least I think it's good) narusaku alternative to the ending (it's also the start of a new story) on fanfiction.net. It's called Shinachiku's First Adventure. Right now it only has 6 chapters and it has a few things that are silly (I kind of think they are) and he needs to work on the grammar a bit, but if the story went Narusaku (like it should have) this would be a very satisfying way to do it; relationships and all.

He also has a Christmas special for the story too which I thought was sweet. So if you're interested. Look it up. His profile name is thesaiyanjedi.

But here's the thing, Naruto didn't have a family because of Obito and you don't see him lashing out by starting a terrorist organization and paper-bombing babies. Think about the emotional affect it must have had on this kid by being shunned by majority of village and having no idea why. Think about how he must have felt seeing all the kids being picked up by their parents from the playground, and Naruto left alone to walk home by himself. I feel no sympathy whatsoever for putting Naruto through that.

Trust me man. When it comes to what Naruto's had to endure his whole life, none of the villains, past or present, get any of my sympathy. During their height as the main antagonists, I despised both Obito and Madara more than you could ever believe for being responsible for making Naruto's life a living hell. I'm just at least sympathizing with what Obito's lost at least and I'm only giving him a chance because he does have genuine remorse for what he's done. Not like that matters in the end but that's just the kind of guy I am.

Also, I do find it somewhat ridiculous that Naruto has seemed to have already forgiven Obito, but that's just what makes him a better man than most if not everyone. We can also say it was bad writing by Kishi but see it as you may. Naruto's character is the type that's capable of forgiving, that's capable of breaking the cycle of hatred and who knows, maybe Naruto still loathes him deep down but right now they have more important things to do than holding on to grudges.

Sorry that I'm always long with everything.

The mess he's trying to clean up is actually getting worse. How did Madara get his second eye? From Obito, which made Madara even more powerful to make way for Kaguya. What consequence are you talking about? Please don't tell me you're referring to his inevitable death, because that is more of a cop out than an actual consequence. He won't have to live with the infamous labeling. So he didn't get his wish fulfilled of being with Rin? Cry me a river. Poor justification to destroy hundreds of people's lives.

I don't feel sad for Obito because of a couple of reasons:

1. Had tryouts for Akatsuki members, which goes around the world killing people.

2. Killed Naruto's mom and dad, which resulted in a ruined childhood for Naruto.

3. Tried to blow up Naruto just mere seconds after he was born.

4. Unleashed the Kyuubi, which killed Iruka's parents.

5. Killed Neji right in front of him just to teach Naruto a lesson.

I'm sure there is a lot more but that's what comes to my mind.

And about a couple of chapters later you feel sad for him? I'm surprised after all of this Naruto quickly forgave this scumbag.

I agree with you because Obito became a monster in almost every sense of the word. Not that my opinion matters but I wouldn't never forgive him for everything he's done, no matter what he does to atone for his sins. As we all know and what everyone's been saying, he ruined so many lives (especially Naruto's), killed so many people, and caused so much damage that he should never be forgiven and always be remembered by nearly everyone as a mass murdering monster.

Then again, I disagree with you that we shouldn't feel sympathy for him. Even though I couldn't forgive him for what he's done, he can still have my sympathy. If only but a little. He lost his parents when he was incredibly young, he nearly got crushed to death when he was saving his best friend and then watched his best friend (even if he found out the reasons behind it) kill the one girl he loved most. The one person that made him feel like it was worth living every day. Yes. Nothing justifies what he did in order to create a massive lie of an illusion to see her again, and he should be greatly punished for it, but it's all he had left in a world that, in his mind, was utterly worthless. It's sort of the idea that he had nothing left to lose but everything to gain. I'm not defending him, but he does have my sympathy for what at least drove him.

Even though he deserves more punishment for his actions, think about the situation he's in now. Despite all of the time that was spent and all of the damage he's caused to fulfill the Eye of the Moon Plan, Obito was beaten right before he succeeded and his dream was crushed at his feet. Then he was forced to revive Madara and then had his dying body be used like a puppet by Black Zetsu. Then even after saving Naruto's life and gave him the chakra of the remaining tailed beasts, he's captured by Madara who goes to tell Obito that he was made into Madara's pawn by having Rin's death set up which meant he'd been working in the stead of a man who was responsible for his loss and caused him to become a monster. Finally, he's used like a puppet by Black Zetsu again and even though he's alive now, he's essentially living on borrowed time.

He doesn't deserve forgiveness and deserves more punishment, but he's been punished quite a bit as it is and it doesn't mean he can't have someone's sympathy. Also, despite what he's done, allow the poor bas***d to use what time he has left to atone for what he's done, even if it's miniscule in comparison.

Also, no offense luffy, but ever since I've come to this forum site (which wasn't that long ago), you always seem to be be either negative or have a chip on your shoulder. So please, lighten up a little.

There's been one thing that I've been wondering about lately and if this works we might get a more interesting and intense. We all know that they're going to break the Infinite Tsukuyomi genjutsu eventually, but what will happen to Kaguya if they do that before they seal her? What I was thinking would happen would be that all of the chakra that Kaguya gained from all of the people trapped in the genjutsu will rip out of her and return to the original owners. This part of the theory may be hard to see happening but I figured since the chakra was in everyone else and their bloodlines for hundreds if not thousands of year, the chakra would have more of a connection to them and want to return (sketchy I know but it's all I've got). Then since most of her power has left her, all she'd have would be the Ten-Tails' chakra, but because her power would be broken she wouldn't be as overpowered. Then, in my theory, what would happen next is that she would accumulate what power she has left and take on a new form which greatly resembles the Ten-Tails (with all the tails and the one rinnegan eye) exept it's now more humanoid and is the size of a human (though maybe a bit larger for intimidation purposes) and is stronger than Madara. Also, since she lost her chakra, she becomes even more desprate to get it back and becomes rabid, unpredictable, very violent, and a lot more physical with her attacks than she is now. Then this can FINALLY be the battle where everything ends.

For me, this would be a fitting scenerio to happen eventually (if it does happen). Sorry for being long about it.

Since it seems that Hamura has the Byakugan, we can be just about certain that he is the original ancestor of the Hyuga clan. So it can be said that he had at least one child, but since his mother and brother had two children, it's very likely that Hamura also had two children. If this is the case, then I wonder who the second child would be the acestor of? I'd also like to know who his children were and what they were like. Also, in this case, instead to two sons, he has two daughters.

Ability wise, they were probably like Hagoromo's children; one having Hamura's eyes and the other having his body (or something similar to that). I know that others have posted comments very similar to this and you all probably know what my theory is going to be as well, but please just humor me.

It could be possible that the other child is Sakura's ancestor. I know that it's probably unlikely but there seems to be more to her than what we originally thought. In terms of combat abilities and growth rate, Sakura's considerably weaker than Naruto and Sasuke, but even then, she's shown herself to be very prodigious and strong in her own right, especialy with her chakra control and healing abilities. Truth be told, I can almost safely say that Sakura is the third strongest shinobi in the Konoha 11 and will probably surpass Tsunade given just a little more time, if she hasn't already.

Again, nothing new being said, but since she is this strong and still in the game (if only just on the sidelines for now), and if my theory is right, her ancestral blood may come to play soon, especially since Sasuke's been putting her down lately. Also, maybe if their's a trend here, she may also be a reincarnation of one of Hamura's daughters though this a bit of a stretch.

There's my theory for both Hamura and Sakura. Sorry if I told nothing new and accomplished nothing.
