Remember we need to feel sorry for the Uchiha as Sasuke was who this was all based on, and not Naruto.

We can joke all we want, but this is sadly truth. Sasuke is great character, his core is "revenge" that easly the best motivation to grasp attention of kids/teens. He rebelled against "system", succeded in his revenge, gathered his own team and became it's leader, he was so cool, girls was following him till the end of earth. Plus his friends even when they on the other side of the law still not harming him, this dude even saved the world, and still tricked evil system into letting him go on his merry way being vagabond for 10+ years. What a boss.

It was?

Wasn't Naruto's bond with Sasuke the core?

Was it really?

Remember the love story that was "the core of Naruto"; had to be done in a movie.

The original core was NaruSaku. When Kishi and they pulled its roots out, it destroyed the very foundation of this franchise.

I'd like to think SK is simply an attempt to pacify SS fans disappointed that Sakura has moved onto Naruto. So as a result, they get a version of SS where Sakura has red hair, glasses, and zero remorse or self-respect in regards to her relationship.

After the whole "Nagato and Karin are actually Uzumaki Clan members", it made me think that maybe it was some roundabout way to allow Sasuke to be with "Naruto". :lmao:

The "original core" was never NS or any other shipping fandom, despite SS being objectively the most popular pairing.

Do you mean of the canon/possible canon ones? I though KakaIruka was the most popular and that it wasn't even close.

Yes, another plot line that went nowhere. The Uzumakis were never investigated, so it didn't matter at all to the story where Nagato and Karin came from. They could have been from any clan and it wouldn't have changed the story one bit.

Yeah . . . Sakura genjutsu aptitude, Obito preparing a place for Naruto and Sasuke's final battle, the Sage of Sixth Path's Ninja tools, Sasuke's hidden power that would've allowed him to beat Naruto during their fight in the Land of Iron, Kabuto's red eyes, the Akatsuki rings and a bajillion other things . . . all went nowhere. Perhaps that's what the manga ought to have been called: Nowhereto.

I hear that, Tricks! Which is a shame, since you could say the same for Naruto and Kushina since they're from the Uzumaki clan as well, and we learned jack and crap about them. And Jack left the building.

Yeah, all we got was some glossed over stuff mentioned about them like...

- All having red hair. Feels like a stupid way to try to explain Nagato and Karin suddenly being part of them.

- All having "special chakra" that also allowed them to have longer lifespans. Something that is NEVER gone into any detail about. Just sounds like a convenient way to explain how biting Karin was able to heal people and to allow Naruto to live despite having Kurama ripped out of him (something that was said would kill the Jinchuriki before) and allowing him to live long enough for it to get replaced.

- Being seal masters, which didn't really matter given Naruto would most likely be crap at seals nor would he even be interested in them once he finds out how complex the more powerful ones are. Even Kushina didn't use any seals herself as far as we know; only taught Minato some stuff that she was taught, leading to him being able to create things like the Hiraishin and Shiki Fuin.

- Being "distantly related" to the Senju, which only sounds like an extremely poor and obvious attempt to connect Naruto to Hashirama (outside of having similar ideals and such) and Tobirama and thus make Naruto more "special".

- Other unnamed villages apparently feared their power SO much that they attacked and destroyed most of them while the others were scattered. And yet no one felt the same about the Senju and Uchiha and such? And where the heck was Konoha, their supposed "close allies" (who even use their freaking spiral on their jackets), during all that? And where were the Uzumaki during the Clan Wars? Surely a clan of such supposed power would have been just as well-known as the Senju and Uchiha, regardless of whether they actually participated or not.

- Apparently could create masks that could do various things simply by wearing them, including summon the freaking Shinigami. Something that was only brought up out of convenience for the Edo Hokages because, with Minato and Hiruzen dead, there was no one left who knew the Shiki Fuin, and because all of the previous Hokage's souls were in the Shinigami's stomach, obviously using Edo Tensei.on them would require some way to summon the Shinigami so their souls could be put into the built bodies. And that mask shop was just sitting out there without EVER being discovered for who-knows-how-long by ANYONE?

...and so on. ALL things that could have been interesting to learn about, but nope! All just used for convenience, and of course, you can't have ANY other clan overshadow the precious Uchiha Clan.

Honestly anything other then focus on the uchiha would have been preferable. Since it eventually just devolved into constantly trying to justify why Sasuke was still an antagonist, and how somehow it wasn't his fault, or making Itach out as a saint.

Trust me, dude, I have that same thing I am trying to do in my own f anfic idea, Naruto: The Demon Within, but some elements I wanted to keep, but to tweak the reasoning why they occurred, like the mess with Itachi for one thing.

I don't personally understand why people care so much. (a) That it's popular doesn't mean its good and (b) who cares, aside from validation, who cares what they think? Given what people say about pro-enders, NH, SS etc....why would anyone care about validation from people posters obviously hold in contempt? I don't understand.

You also have to remember how there were many negative comments about the movie that were deleated and removed with also forced ratings by even the own workers of the studio. We know this to be true because many fans have went behind the scenes and proved it. Especially that one poll from a popular Japanese anime website that went from a high disapporval rating for Naruto the Last to all of a sudden a high approval rating pratically overnight with many of the review with simply "5/5 stars. Must see movie if Naruto fan."

So we can even know that the polls can be altered by the people running them if the results are not what they wanted.

Chances are if you had several polls: 1 for the ending. 1 for the Boruto series. and 1 for the Naruto fans across the world....you will see that more than likely at least 60% would hate and dislike Naruto sicne chapter 698. Some even before that with them exclaiming how the series went down hill since the Fourth Shinobi War arc started. And not just because of pairings.

Even most neutrals of the Naruto fandom call bull on the end pairings and the ending itself with many being even more convinced the more they tried to "Explain it."

Foundation has nothing to do with my distaste for SK. The whole trying to kill her and leaving her to die and the vomit inducing apology the followed are why I hate it. I'd also add that the whole scarf thing in the Last that is frequently called a retcon? SK pulled that too with her insertion into the Chunnin exams.

At least it was in the manga itself....which is more that can be said for the scarf. Isn't that said...SK might be a retcon, but at least that retcon exists in the manga is not in a movie made 6 months after the fact.

The point is is that if Karin and Team Taka were basically just a "filler characters," then what was the point of them at all if they lead to nowhere? Like really, Kishi, what was the point of anything going on in the manga if 80% of it just went nowhere. You wasted so much time, energy, and our money just for it to be swept under the rug? Not just pairings, but everything.

This is all rhetorical by the way. It is more of an armor peircing question than one that needs an answer. "Why, Kishi? Why waste so much time on things that you weren't going to use or care about? You could have written the whole manga in 5 years instead of 15 if you cut out all that stuff, but money talks right?"

Do you mean of the canon/possible canon ones? I though KakaIruka was the most popular and that it wasn't even close.

Heck, even NS was number 3 in th top pairings Japanese fans wanted. SS and NH were barely in the top ten.

So objectively, only the North Americas had a really big hard on for NH and SS. The rest of the world either wanted kakaIruka, NaruSaku, or SasuNaru. Sadly, Kishimoto only listened to Sawyer7mage and that other guy.

Yeah . . .
