Nope don't watch it,I liked the shadow chronicles better.Better animation, chara design, & good plotline (it's pretty good for an American made.)

I watch it and I really enjoy it. I'm not too big on the little lizard phone thing thought. Kinda creepy if you ask me. I really enjoy the music though. I think they do a great job of blending the music into the anime.

They also do a good job of leaving you asking a lot of questions about who the bad guys really are and what they're after.

I also just finished the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 series. The ending of the first season was pretty much left open, so you wonder what happens afterwards. Season 2 starts this October, so I'm really anticipating the new season 2 eps.

Current, I'm watching Black Cat to help pass the time between Bleach, Naruto, D Gray-man, and Macross Frontier.

Apparently, next episode "Triangler" Sheryl will tell Alto that she no longer sings. But, in 22 "Northern Cross" she sings again and something about Alto. Then, there was the recent Animedia spread with ultra-loli "Idolmaster Ranka" and "Galactic Romance" SherylXAlto.

Is anybody else hoping that Brera isn't Ranka's brother? XD

Hold on a minute, isn't Robotech the english name for macross? and according to its website,it says it really is Macross only that it's american made (it's an OVA)

nah man, robotech is a collection of three projects that used the same concept but doesn't share any relation in terms of creator and storyline, but they were all produced by the same company. which explained similar mechs. the original names for each anime in robotech are as follows in order of appearance; the super dimensional fortress macross, the super dimension cavalry southern cross, and genesis climber mospeada. anything else besides the original robotech that had the robotech title in it, ie. the movies and sequels, are all american made including shadow chronicles. now macross is the only one out of the original three that was successful in japan and had multiple sequels. including the tv shows; macross 7 and macross frontier. the movies; do you remember love, macross plus movie edition, and macross 7 the galaxy is calling me. the ovas; flash back 2012, macross 2 lovers again, macross plus, macross dynamite 7 and macross zero. phew, that was a kitten load of info.

I'm addicted and I can't stop watching it. It feels so nostalgic. I feel bad for Ranka, but if the story is following old school in anyway, we all know that Alto (following Hikaru), might end up with Sheryl, but then Sheryl's got that V-Virus/Fever thing. Iunno it's all too intense, and dramatic! Just the way I like it! And with my favorite kind of mecha too!

Lol, I didn't feel sad at all seeing his plane explode; in fact, it was a bit funny to me. I think he's alive anyway.

There was a very good SherylxAlto scene, and it would not make much sense if he ended up with Ranka-chan at this point.

Story-wise, I don't think a Ranka x Alto ending would be very believable either. Hasn't stopped rabid Ranka fans from expecting one, though.

Well ... did anyone else find it ... anti-climatic in a stereotypical cliche-ish way that it was going to end? And only in half an hour ... i thought there would be a little more. Kind of? Ehhh!? That's okay it's done!

I was really disappointed in the ending. They needed more episodes, plus a conclusion to the stinkin' love triangle. Hopefully, the subs will make the episode more understandable, but the only good things about this episode were the songs and action.
