Haven't watched it yet, but it was due to lots of sacking, right?

 

I guess the anime team did a good job this time, except for Tokoha and Shion.

Just managed to watch it, and yeah, they focused almost entirely on Chrono vs. Leon that the other fights didn't get any coverage.  It concerns me why the anime blew through this branch so quickly, instead of taking more time.

 

Also, why would Leon guard the Chronojet attack?  Chrono wouldn't have won with that attack without the trigger anyway.  He might has well have saved it for the RG.  It just further makes me worry about where the direction is and where it's going.  I mean the game choreography has never been perfect, but it was handled much better previously.

I'm really sure since Luna managed to see the charm through the bag, They didn't need to rip the rip the bags open, and search blindly.  It wouldn't have been hard to bring Luna bags to inpect one by one, instead of making a mess for the waste people to clean up.  Although, I suppose they couldn't miss the oppurtunity to show the carelessness and wastefulness of modern day people by showing items that are still good and valuable in those bags

 

And why do I find this the only thing worth commenting on out of the entire episode?  Well, other than, Kai still being the ace that he is (even though he was attacking with DO the Great not in Legion), and Kamui introducing everyone (well, Shingo, Naoki, Miwa and Kai) to Chrono and friends.

episode 6

Honestly, the more I watch, the more I see wasted potential.  It looks like we'll have one episode left for the Dragon Empire Branch, and then we're moving on to the next one.  Seriously, why are going through these so fast?  The way the plots proceeding, we'll go through every branch only to see TRY3 succeed, and only that.  It's become very plot driven, from what started as a very character-driven story.  Yes, there's always was an objective, but it never became more important than the character's tribulations and growth, and it was never in your face like it is now.

 

Seriously, did we really need to see Shion having a mental breakdown during his fights with Kai?  That was really so out of place.  I'm guessing they were trying to create Misaki's breakdown in the first season, only to fail at it, because you feel no emotion, because you're busy processing "what the heck is this?".  And the resolution is so cheap, just hearing the words "picture it", and all of sudden Shion has an epiphany, for better or for worse we still have to see.  And how did Shion fall asleep!? and how!?

 

Despite the heavy criticism for the episode, I did like the Chrono vs. Naoki, even if it was brief.  The only thing that bugged me was again plot armor.  Seriously, Naoki doesn't get one crit in a triple drive, yet Chrono gets one in a double to win.

Oh, haven't seen you around lately. Welcome back.

 

The latest episode did not impress.  The visuals and music are excellent as always, but the story was really lacking.  I don't understand why Shion suddenly admires Kai.  The words "picture it" are so vague, but he was able to get out of it his strut because of those words.  Also, all you need to win now apparently is say "I'm going to grab my future!".  From the dialogue, you never get a sense of deeper context.  There's not a good build-up towards it, and as a result, you never feel any meaning in TRY3 winning, because the lack of substance. 

 

The only scene I enjoyed was the end before credits with Kai, Miwa and Ibuki.

I've read on how to play Luck & Logic. Yeah, it's confusing, just like I was a beginner in Vanguard. But the L&L anime this coming January? I don't think I could put that into my watchlist.

Pretty much Aichi x Misaki just by looking at that panel.

Also, Misaki !  I really liked the explanation on why she decided to become owner.  The scene is definitely one of the greatest the G series has ever produced.

The execution is just very generic.  That's why it appears that way, and why there's no attachment.

L&L is like a fusion of Vanguard-Buddyfight-Weiss Schwarz.  AFA in Singapore? Yeah, they posted about it. Tourabu was there too.

Nine episodes in and we're already almost halfway through the entire G-Quest.  Why are we going so fast?  Because of that, the fights are rushed too.  The main fight this episode took only four minutes at most.  Also, again, another veteran loses because of plot armor.  I'm really glad Aichi isn't here to be a part of this.
