On a related note Every time I see a comment on any fan that says Naruto moved on from his crush on Sakura and that shows maturity I can't help but face palm and maybe even laugh. That is the BIGGEST proof that these fans see nothing except their own head canon. First off let's not pretend or ignore this very fact. Naruto having a crush on Sakura is not only an an overwhelming understatement, It is COMPLETELY UNTRUE. What he feels for Sakura goes beyond a mere crush, because for ANYONE that truly understands relationships, they would realize that the lengths he goes for Sakura are not what someone with just a crush would do Really, How many individuals can anyone list here that would go to the lengths that Naruto did to ensure Sakura's happiness? How can you call Naruto's feelings a crush when he has always shown to put Sakura before himself? How is is the POALT made by someone that ONLY has a crush on a girl? Naruto was basically shredding his own feelings and wants to pieces RIGHT THERE, but he did it for Sakura. Would anyone go that far for someone they only had a crush on? I sure wouldn't. And no it was not so that he could win over Sakura from Sasuke when they got back. Remember when Sai asked "why Naruto hasn't confessed yet, and Naruto responded " how can I? I couldn't even keep a promise? Do you that speech as" Oh I'm waiting for the perfect opportunity for when Sasuke comes back so I can show her I'M THE BEST MAN FOR HER once and for all? HELL NO!! That was a guy that was putting a girl's feelings first and shows emotional sensitivity an tenderness towards her, and not to win her over like a prize but because he wants her happiness and to smile more than he wants any chance to be with her and because he felt like he failed her he didn't even feel worthy. ( my personal opinions on that mentality aside) 

 

I'm actually gonna split this rant into more parts so stay tuned but you get what I mean here

^Naruto did love Sakura, only for the ones you love you go to self - sacrificing lengths. I also believe, but this is an unpopular opinion, that Sakura loved Naruto. It is actually a term that goes over selfish claims, such as relationships, marriage, love stands on its own. It could have shown that Narutos love for Sakura was strong enough to let go of his feelings and let Sasuke step in. It would be hard for him! He would not go over to Hinata in an instant and confess his love to her. That's just weak and pathetic and shows that his feelings were not sincere. He appears like a moron that was protecting, keeping an eye on, carrying, and loving a person just as a "competition towards his no.1 rival".

 

If Kishimoto was really pressed to make NaruHina and SasuSaku canon, without actually ruining his characters and their motivation, he should have started with that long ago. Or just not at all. That would have been the best. If you have three fanbases that would equally shred you apart if their ship is not sailing, just skip the shipping part, end your story before they are forced to marry due to very traditional, Japanese standards. But then we would have nothing to rant about.

I always imagined Naruto just waiting for her until he ultimately got his chance. He would do something like Jiraiya did with Tsunade. The one he loves(Sakura-Chan) is the one who has the key to his heart, always, regardless of any other females that he might flirt around with in the meantime.

He was holding back because of the promise of a life time he made to her.  He didn't feel worth of actively pursuing her till he brought back Sasuke. As he pointed out to Sai after the Pein arc. He still hang out and somewhat flirted because he still was attracted to her.

This is actually canon. Sakura was in love with Naruto as well. Apparently it was stated in a pamphlet when you went to the theater release in Japan for The Last. But Sakura backed off because she liked Sasuke more and/or because Hinata. I don't remember which. Likely both.

It's just not well known because it was just kind of thrown in as a random fact in the pamphlet. But if I remember correctly, even the Naruto wiki is willing to admit it. Or it could have been changed.

Who knows. It's actually amazing how there are a decent amount of Burrito fans who don't like the end game pairings and only care about the fighting and story and such.

That's weird, I thought the majority was NaruHina fans happy of their "win" who liked Boruto. Guess I was wrong.

Yeah, no kidding. Though DmC has some good elements to it, and potential, most fans did NOT like it for obvious reasons. Besides, the idea of multiple endings could work, since it works for some harem-based anime and manga, like "We Never Learn".
