Oh I don't mean out of left field as in it wasn't hinted at and was @$$ pulled in. Just that it was brought up in the middle of another conflict that wasn't even resolved yet, which is the fight against Patry/Patolli (however you spell it). They haven't even really fought him yet and settled the score then *Poof* that was dropped and the Devil is the threat now. Kind of reminds me of the whole Madara and Kaguya Debacle, but like you said this is at least has some subtle foreshadowing I suppose. And it is not like Tabata only wrote this in out of the blue because he ran out of ideas, so it is more excusable if you ask me

I think this is a precursor for a later arc since the Devil mentioned that his manifestation is incomplete, so I don't think he'll be sticking around for very long.

Yuno maybe connected to Licht and Asta may be a demon from hell or at least that is what they are implying. But I could be wrong

I've suspected that Licht is an ancestor of Yuno's for some time and this chapter hints further at the possibility. As for Asta, I'm not sure if there is an implication of him being a demon. It was confirmed chapters ago by the Blood Witch that there was nothing extraordinary about him aside from his inability to process mana. It could hint that there's a relationship between this devil and the demon that dwells in Asta's sword, which may be causing the resonance.

A five leaf grimoire is made from the owner of a four leaf grimoire giving into despair. So that is How Asta got the demon slayer sword form Licht. And the fact that the devil originally wanted Asta's Grimoire for his own. Last bit He flew off somewhere so there is a future fight coming with him ala Aizen lol

Yup, that detail about the five-leaf clover grimoire adds a bit more depth to Asta's character and we can see him properly finish his battle with Licht, who's now in his "final form". It also makes you wonder if the remaining elves currently fighting will undergo a Dark Elf metamorphosis when their backs are against the wall.

*Anyone else catch that subtly lampshaded burn at Kaguya in the previous chapter in when Yuno and Asta were pissed at the Devil for being a "A guy who came out of nowhere with your crazy power!"? Of course, the Devil had properly hinted build-up and he didn't replace the current antagonist, but god, I'm glad a mangaka called out Kishimoto's BS within their own manga's narrative.

I wouldn't mind Nozel or Yami being the Wizard King while Asta and Yuno acquire more knowledge and experience until they're fully suited for the role and challenge either of them for the right. Of course, they have to defeat each other first.

Well, the panel about Ronne thinking how Similar Mimosa was to Tetia may mean that she gets together with Yuno who is linked to Licht's child in some way or as Ronne stated to be Licht or Asta who has the swords that belonged to Licht. Well that is if the reincarnation thing means history repeats it self regarding characters Which I HOPE IT DOESN'T Like what Naruto Nardo did

Welp the anime has been kind of pissing me off these last two weeks. they took out How Noelle cited Asta as one of the amazing people that acknowledged her and how Asta complimented her for taking down Solid so easily.and I won't even get to the other part that is annoying me unless anyone wants their PTSD triggered

Well, if this makes you feel better, Tabata just revealed in a new interview in Volume 20 of the manga that Noelle's magic potential is on par with Julius's.

Are they adding filler material to Mimosa's scenes? Or just omitting the more Asta x Noelle centric stuff?

As for Tabata, I'm not worried about him denouncing Noelle's position as Asta's wife or becoming Kishi 2.0. Following interviews with him, he basically tells it like it is and even cited that he doesn't allow himself to be pressured(he even talked about how he created everyone's favorite lion waifu as an avatar of his own anger at his editors). And his talk about Noelle's power has also further reaffirmed that he still plans to give her a spin-off series and have her as Asta's Queen.
