SP has always been crap!

Well, now it makes a bit more sense about that punching stuff, thats probably even more that Rukia did on Ichigo.

While I do agree with this very much, it has to be called to attention that the exaggerated tsundere tendencies in the anime adaptation of a manga don't exclusively apply to Sakura. You find them all over the map. Plus, I must also bring up that while this is fact, we can't forget the team also made to NaruSaku fillers such as when Naruto told a filler character explicitly how he felt about Sakura under no uncertain terms, or the the Mecha-Naruto filler when Naruto gave sakura a flower and told to protect it and he would protect her in turn. I understand though, the Naruto animation team in part ruined the franchise for us all but we can't say they were COMPLETELY negatively biased towards the NaruSaku ship. Plus it was not the entirety of SP either responsible either, there are multiple animation teams in the studio

While that may be true. It was SP negative portrayal of Sakura that started the whole Sakura hate and Hinata worship which led to the disaster of an ending. Plus Kishis editors later on. And lets not forget that the editors convinced Kishi to downplay Sakura and raise Hinata because of the west reaction towards Sakura. So imo SP played a huge role in this. And sure they gave away some crumbs to us. But thats all it was just some crumbs while they plotted the disaster of an ending.

wait, are you saying Sakura never made fun of Naruto not having parents and that was anime filler?

The anime, in and of itself, didn't really do Sakura justice... but really, Pierrot didn't do justice to any character except Hinata. They shoulda never outright stated that half the staff was bias towards Hinata, literally was killed any position defenders of the studio could have taken.

I mean they still don't treat anyone particularly better, but they clearly have a preference on who the main heroin should be in their minds

Like, I've spent my time with love triangles or harem romcoms, and the fact is there are times when it does work. When each potential partner is given their moments to shine, making them all seem like a viable romantic option. I call it the balanced harem, where even if my horse in the race loses they still put up a good fight and the actual winner has, you know, earned it rather than being handed it (coughNaruNarusegawacough). If a member is there but is given no moments, no development, no arc whatsoever, then they're just padding.

Except for Hinata, because somehow she won.

The anime and manga might as well just be two different stories... clearly the divergence was too great to keep personal bias out of it. Guess we should have seen it coming when the filler episodes for the timeskip had mostly Hinata involved in them
