Well, the next episode might be kind of interesting? finally Shino will get some spotlight.

Thoughts...

I liked this episode, even though it took a while to get going. I like the premise though. In order to perfect something, you sometimes have to go through a lot of failures. As such, I really liked the flashbacks of Kabuto trying to collecting the "pieces" for his army.

What really made the episode for me though was the bit with Temari and that Daimura guy. It was so funny watching Temari get all flustered and when Matsuri and Yukata joined in...I seriously lol'd.   They even threw in a little ShikaTema hint. 

 

I look forward to next week. I've always found both Fu and Torune pretty interesting, especially because of their clan backgrounds. I've always hoped that Kishi would expand on this in the manga, but it seems like that won't ever come to pass. Therefore, it's nice to see the anime explore this aspect, even if it's just filler. Also, Shino getting some more screentime is also a plus.

Also, isn't this basically the anime debut of Orochimaru's "doom fortress" that has already been introduced in the manga?

I only bothered watching because of the big deal the ShikaTema fandom made out of this episode. I know Kishi doesn't care about filler, but at this point he going to disappoint a lot of fans if he doesn't go through with this pairing.
