No she wasn't, and no Naruto doesn't need a constantly aggressive girl to be putting him in his place. (Hn, that's not really love and Naruto shouldn't deal with that crap from a woman that loves him in the first place even though its 90% comic relief) . . . Naruto needs someone who loves him, if he does get out of hand, Hinata will be there to balance him out with her gentle personality. Like how Minato was towards Kushina. Being the loudmouth that she and her son are known to be, I'm sure he had to help her out a bit sometimes. I highly doubt that both Kushina and Naruto get that out of control for Minato and Hinata to help them settle down. . . . They are not that hyper. My gosh. What Kushina did tell Naruto: Don't fall for the first girl you see. . . Which so happens to be Sakura. He also broke a lot of other wishes his mother wanted him to do, eat healthy, he eats ramen. . . . etc. (U know the rest above) Sorry to say, but Naruto no longer loves Sakura in a romantic sense, after all it was based solely on the fact he loved her for her beauty. He still loves her as a friend. Manga 50 proves this point, he clearly sees along with everyone else that Sakura still loves Sasuke, Kishimoto has said it in interviews, Sakura loving Sasuke was brought up in the manga again and again. . . . More so than these 'NS moments'. Naruto doesn't love Hinata? After all of their kind moments together? After she saved his butt from Pain, where was Sakura by the way? Yeah right, he does care for Hinata and is starting to see her feelings for him. Why else would Kishimoto have Naruto remember Hinata tried to save him from Pain, during the ninja war? He flashed Hinata a smile when he rescued her, but not to Sakura, he just straightforward rescued her from a group of Ninjas and went on his way. . . . If Naruto loved Sakura as you say, then why not show more romantic hints around them? Why keep their moments as nothing but teammates and friends? . . . Kishimoto doesn't seem to be aiming towards NS and never really put any energy into developing that 'couple' in the first place. . . His constant SasuSaku hints keep building up throughout his manga, . . . Yeah about that last part: At first I was like: WTF? but then I caught onto Kishimoto's joke. Yes, it was sadly a Team 7 joke. Naruto said the wrong thing, and Sakura bashes him for it. End joke. . . . Looking at Minato: All he saw was Sakura beating Naruto for saying something stupid again, and automatically thought they were a couple. He has known Naruto for what a few minutes earlier during their reunion in the Pain Arc. So to say Minato approves Narusaku is as baseless and desperate a person can get. Minato only assumed they were a couple after witnessing how they acted. Think about it. . . . You're really taking Minato's word based off of an assumption? I'd rather believe Shikamaru's opinion at least he's known Naruto longer than either of his parents. Naruto wasn't really on board with the whole girlfriend answer, when he answered his dad. If he really was madly in love with Sakura, don't you think he would have, I don't know, been a little more enthusiastic, happy? Excited? Passionate? A confirmed answer with the sureness of it? Instead we see he is awkward and unsure. The way his answer was put out in the open, was like having Naruto say it more like this: Yeah, she's a girl and a friend. . . Or: Yeah she's MAYBE my girlfriend. . . Not likely. Way to make things awkward dad." We don't get the response one would expect from Naruto if he truly was in love with Sakura. I swear that joke came from out of nowhere. Again this goes to show you and everyone else that Kishimoto is just trolling both pairings.
