Yep about that" infamous scene" we should be from the incoming storm from a certain fandom. Let's prepare ourselves for their rants to why their pairing should be canon. But I'm anticipating" that one moment" that made that fandom's moment crumble to dust and made them rage from the denial.
i know and i can't wait for that one

To be fair though, Kishimoto didn't handle Neji's death very well. It was rushed and used to bolster Hinata's growth; Neji was more or less just a plot device in the whole thing. I hope maybe the anime version might do him a little more justice, but it's hard to say.
What growth though? She is still a Naruto fan girl that seems to have nothing else in her brain. Right after her own family died it's still "Naruto-kun this, Naruto-kun that" like a broken radio. They maybe in a war and it's no time to grieve but you'd think that she would fight in Neji's honor instead of thinking that Naruto is her entire reason for existing.

Short lived though it may have been, in that moment Hinata went from the one who was encouraged by Naruto's strength to being the one to encourage him. Her strongest desire was to stand beside Naruto and that's what she did. That's the growth I'm talking about. Yeah, she's still hung up on Naruto and maybe that will change as part of some final development, or maybe it won't.

She did that before his fight against Neji though so I'm still skeptical. Neji's death did nothing but have her fangirl Naruto harder.

Lol, you're right about that. Neji's death was one of those parts of this arc that was kind of a mess all around. Sometimes I wonder what the point of it was at all.

Why I think this? Because he doesn't have anything to do with her anymore, but he doesn't want to lose sells, so he had to keep her.
The Hinata fans truly are loud.

Sometimes I think Kishi was planning on offing Hinata, then he realized her fans would murder him, so he picked Neji instead.
Why I think this? Because he doesn't have anything to do with her anymore, but he doesn't want to lose sells, so he had to keep her.
The Hinata fans truly are loud.
They are indeed.
Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.
