Chapter 670: The Creator...!!/The Beginning...!!
Naruto meets the Sage of the Six Paths...the first half of this chapter was boring *just like that chapter with Might Dai - Gai father*, no meaning at all and Naruto acted like a retarded.
So, that means Naruto is Ashura reincarnated and Sasuke must be Indra reincarnated. I wonder if Sasuke & Naruto will have the Last Fight.
Buddhism religion...oh, this reincarnation...I can't believe some people believe in this. lol.
Next week I predict that this story will continue. I have a question if someone knows: How did Ashura and Indra died? I think that Indra probably killed Ashura in the war? Will Naruto face the same fate as Ashura?

from this, I'm pretty sure that Saguya is the shinigami of the death from the Shikku Fuujin. And she is a shinigami who came from the deity world, not an alien like someone could think (also because at her time the moon still didn't exist)

 

It seems to me that the Shinigami of death from the Shikki Fuuyin is a male.

I don't think it's the same.

 

Maybe the Shinigami is Hagoromo's brother. Maybe he has been cursed at some time.

 

 

They sealed it inside "us"...so there is another Juubi out there then.

We don't really know what happened to Hagoromo's brother. It can't be that Kishi brought him for nothing... we might learn something more about him later... so at the time Hagoromo split Juubi in 9, it could be possible that he was splitting only one half of juubi ? I don't know what to think about that but it's kind of possible from what we actually know...

This is it or else Hagoromo's brother died and gave him back the other half before he split it in 9.

OK Hands up who from here even though we are getting a awesome flashback story is more interested in the other child of Kagura? I have my fingers crossed this is where the Uzumaki clan originated from...This would be so much cooler than them being a branch family from Senju. I might even go some ways to explain why the Uzumaki clan have such strong chakra and specialised in Fuinjutsu, maybe it was the other brother or sister who gave the world Fuinjutsu, and the reason the clan chose to stay in a remote island was because he or she didn't want to be involved in the war between their nephews. (also it would be hilarious if it was the forgotten siblings heir who achieved the peace) I'm hoping there is more to the story than Senju and Uchiha, I want to see where the Uzumaki fit into this history.

 

So if Naruto is the reincarnation of the younger brother, then Sasuke is the reincarnation of the older brother I guess...and wuldn't surprise me one bit if Madara and Hashirama were the previous rebirth models...afterall Sasuke was born shortly after Madara actually died, so would make sense.

 

I actually have to go with Naruto on his reaction to Sage, I had no idea what he was talking about, I wonder how many thousands of people around the world got excited about being right that Naruto would meet the Sage? It's probably the least surprising reveal since finding out Naruto's father was the fourth Hokage, I'd figured that one out within the first minute of the anime...it surprised me it wasn't officially revealed until much later in the manga.

I find the first panel insteresting here...How come the younger brother has the same Chakra coat as Naruto does when in Kurama mode? Was he also the host of the nine tails? Either way the form of Asura looks cool.

 

Actually found an interesting Tidbit on the Wiki page for Asura (Buddism) espite their many wars, there was eventually a partial concord between the Trāyastriṃśa gods and the Asuras. This came about because Śakra fell in love with Sujā, daughter of the Asura chief Vemacitrin

So now wonder if this actually supports SasuKarin, Karin is part of Uzumaki clan, it's a long shot but heck some of the theories out there are even more far fetched.

The first 8 pages were literally spent with Naruto and the sage bickering at each other. The rest of the chapter was reconfirming all of the stuff we already knew. For some reason the sage is apparently a time traveler now who's speaking to Naruto inside the talk no jutsu dimension. To wrap things up we get further reason to believe that Naruto was never an underdog and was in fact the destined child of prophecy who would become a strong leader regardless of what he did in life. I just don't know what message Kishi is trying to display with this manga anymore because history keeps repeating itself and Madara is stronger than everyone from the new generation combined. In any case I just hope we'll move on from this next chapter and get back to Gai and Lee.

When you think about it, this put Naruto a huge responsibility because he's the successor, whether he wants to take the title or not.

 

Madara wins = Proves that the world is no longer worth fixing

Sasuke wins = Proves that power is the key to achieving

Naruto dies in any circumstances = Proves that no generation of new Sage and his ideal will ever happen

 

Naruto has to achieve and live.

You know, something like that got into my mind too. So I thought about it and then I realised that maybe the style on Naruto's mode is not from Kyuubi, but from Ashura's chakra.

I think "forerunner" links to "ancestor". I really don't think it could be Sasuke Hagoromo is talking about.

Moreover, I don't think Hagoromo would meet with Sasuke. I don't think he likes Sasuke's way of life.

I just reread the chapter and read mangastreams version and just realised something. The Sage form of Madara actually looks like the unknown brother more than it looks like the Sage, the same hair and even the staff is the same not the one possesed by the Sage or Obito. that is interesting I really want to get a backstory of he other brother now.

Really I think we all know something here with the sage:

 

Though his body died, he was able to create a technique in which his spirit has transended the natural world and he lives on in all the ninja, if he spoke or has seen many others as he claimed, the sage is like a natural force being alive in many other people. Given the aspect of how madara once said the sage once wanted everyone unifed in a vision of peace, he has seen the centuries of mankind playout since his time 1000 years before, he has seen how the ninja grew, changed, and took his ideal he orignally wanted into a new form of war that his mother inadvertadly created. But he is able to see that in the time since his sons died, he can see naruto is the embodiment of what his son Ashura was seeking. As with what nagato said, he understood the same pain as him, naruto had a life of hardships and trials, but he overcame them, again naruto was the kid born to a hell but rose out of it. This is why he is more or less the intended successor. Sasuke is more or less the same set up with the older son, not by only the eyes or getting the rinnegan, its because Sasuke has been alone, he had power but shut everyone out, and what is sasuke trying to do? Become the hokage because he thinks if he can take it by force, others will just accept him. We all know the difference from what naruto remembered Itachi saying who becomes hokage.... check yes 631 if you need a refresher.

 

So really the sage made a technique where ones spirit transends time and can exist within the scale of many others.

 

As for the principals of why naruto is meeting him, well naruto is for one a decendent of the uzumaki, has all the tailed beast chakra signitures, and achieved the tailed beast mode which ashura had a simiarl power to. So maybe its a combination of physical and spirtual aspects for why naruto sees the sage, but its too confusing to argue about it, just go with it. Im just glad naruto isnt getting the rinnegan. Naruto getting some new power will be the thing to even out the fight with Sasuke getting that rinnegan.

 

So as for next chapter? If this volume isnt focused on the sage given a backstory like hashirama last year, I would say if naruto is getting a new power next week as the preview said, then theres some short history the sage gives naruto, yin kurama comes in, the power is awakened, the sage gives naruto the words and knowledge he needs to win, he finally wakes up, kishi give us that NS wake up scene plz.

 

Maybe in 2 weeks about....

 

but if next week it ends with naruto waking up, that would be a good ending.

When you see Harogomo heard about ninjutsu, he got furious. Pretty much, the life they're in, especially Uchiha as of late, is terrible. Naruto is the one that can change all that.

I have to say the last time, I was excited about a history lesson was when we had the Kushina flashbacks.

Hashirama's bedtime story and Madara's own explanation on the God tree and what the Rikudou Sennin did were boring.

It would be fun watching everyone's reaction, and I mean whole of the shinobi alliance's reaction when they find out that Naruto met Hagoromo and gained some of his power or anything related to him. Coming to that, it will be worth to watch everyone's reaction in Konoha and especially Sakura's(She now knows, but still haven't come to terms with it yet)when they come to know Naruto is 4th Hokage's son. Everyone used to despise Naruto where instead he was the most important of them all. I mean just Hiruzen, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Itachi, and the other Kage's and village elders knew that Naruto is the son of 4th Hokage. Iruka's reaction will be especially note worthy. But I doubt Kishi will ever show Konoha 11's and others reactions since they now possibly know, ofcourse due to the war, that Naruto is Yondaime's son. But still it'd be nice to see them appreciate the fact.

I agree with a lot of this. Half the chapter was what you said, bickering for humor, and the fact that Naruto is this reincarnation takes away from that underdog element.

I saw the reincarnation thing coming for a while, though I can't say I expected it would be the Sage's son. Nor can I say I'm a fan of the revelation. Besides that, more history lessons, more parallels... what a surprise.
