I only get 50 text messages a month! and I usually go 10-15 over. My worst was spending 20 dollars on text messaging, 15 cents each... you do the math.

Got my parents all riled up. xDDD

On a brighter note, I'm too cool to text with a cell phone, because I can do it for free on my PSP.
I laugh at everyone who pays just to send text messages.

I don't text at all, except the time when I went and visited my home country. It was hot, no PS3s, no internet, so I borrowed my mom's phone and texted. I just use my phone to call my house so someone can pick me up if I miss the school bus. No one talks to me over the phone anyways, it's all Facebook, AIM, and myspace.

That's why unlimited texting should not be an avaible plan. It should be payed by those who text XD Just like my phone account, I pay 15c a text and I do only avg. 1 text a month XD

I agree with the poster you said that the parents needed more punishment. I mean, really. possible more than 2 000 bucks spent on TEXTING, and all that it is, is no texting after dinner. That is SAD. If that happened to me, my parents would have the celly confiscated, sell it on ebay, and ban me from any technology for a month o.o (I don't have a cell phone though. Don't need one, 'cept for playing snake )

I'll admit, I am guilty of texting people in the same room and members of this board have seen me do it. While at otakon one of my best friends was at the same panel that we went to, and rather then yell "STACY IS THAT YOU?!?!" across the horridly boring panel, I text her. Aside from that time I've only text people a few times while in the same room as them. My brother did something similar to this girl, ran up over 700 text in a week, making my mother freak out. He was texting back and forth with friends and his girl friend. They were never full sentences, just like 2 or 3 words. His texting was shut off, and that girls parents need to do the same thing. If she texting that much, is she listening in class?

Agreed i have a cell and i only use it for emergencies and one or two calls a week. i dont use the texting feature.

I have a phone but I don't text all that much. Maybe.... maximum five a month And it's for free because I'm using Yakedi - three free texts every day

Seriously. I can't stand those annoying "BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!!!" alarms, so I use my cell phone. Waking up to Caramelldansen ftw? xD

I barely text. D8 Probably like...2-3 a month? I usually just call, IM or talk face-to-face. >O>
