#987913 Naruto: Sasuke's Story-The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust: Chapter 1

Posted by James S Cassidy on 30 October 2022 - 06:01 AM in Latest Releases

I;ll post commentary about.....commentary

If you post it here then I assume you want commentary.

We know, I make mention of this and openly admit we mispronounce as mockery. Seeing as their whole entire company's symbol is a clown....well, it just means the whole company is one big joke.

Not sure about tailed beast but your maybe talking about Nail's nudist.

No clue. Just something somebody mentioned.

Sasuke met Salad before she became a ninja she has a headband in his mental image of her. The gaiden never question if they had a wedding, but does Sakura even know enough about Sasuke to know if he ever needed glasses and have they ever kissed. There not much of a question of them being married just how close they really are. The closest thing for a story reason for why Sasuke got together wasn't because he needed strong children it was in chapter 699. Sasuke felt sorry for always being an ass to her so to make it up to her got together with her as an apology.

And Salad has mental imagine of him with two arms in her mental image so...regardless it is all a really bad and lazy continuity error?

Sasuke fanboy...You really think they are trying to appeal to boys and that his primary fans are male? Primary fans are women that insert themselves into Sakura so they can fantasize about being with Sasuke the dreamy bad boy they can fix.

No, I still question if they hate Sakura so much, why do they want her with I assume is their boifu? If they are saying they are Sakura and Sakura is useless are they openly admitting they are useless?

I never questioned where Hinata was in the chapter. I wondered does Naruto scream out Sasuke's name when they are having sex?

Are we sure it was actually him and not a shadow clone as well? Naruto is a very busy man.

Mangareader is interrupting too much trying to be funny. Is James on dial up or a rotary?

No, fiber optic, but stream yard doesn't exactly like to play nice. No issues on my end.

The IT was a one night even that was resolved pretty quickly after it happened. They may have brushed it off as a bad dream.

4 great ninja wars though. 4 generations of conflict. Unless they are extremely isolated, That's like....someone not knowing about the two world wars. It is possible, but unless they are some remote isolated island cut off from all outside communication...it is hard not think they didn't hear something.

The kanji for Dragons and dinosaurs 'Ryu' is the same.

Seriously though, Hoshi means both planet , celestial body. and star as well, but they are still different.

The anime and manga do not have separate continuity. The anime and manga are following the same story of the manga with the anime doing endless filler that they want canon because they are doing all the work.

......we know? We discuss this as well.

We have cyborg because Kishimoto wanted to do a sci-fi manga, but he was stuck helping out the Boruto manga for a few years. Also to show that the world is moving past ninjas as now they have cyborgs, guns, and apparently dinosaurs.

Again....we know....but....does it really belong in Naruto?
To quote Nostalgia Critic
"This is jumping the shark, coming back, shooting it in the balls, raping it, eating its flesh, consuming its soul, mounting its head on the wall... AND THEN DOING THE SAME THING TO TWELVE MORE kittening SHARKS JUST TO BE SAFE!"

I just hope we don't do a "New generation" type sequel. I am sick of those.

#987813 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by James S Cassidy on 29 September 2022 - 03:46 PM in Icha Icha NaruSaku

I agree on what you said, Blue. Or do something like in a Superman story from years ago, "Ending Battle". In it, Superman had to deal with Manchester Black, a previous enemy who led a super team called the Elite, and Black had Clark running ragged by sending tons of supervillains after people who knew him in his regular life, and then Black came to Lois, making it look like he killed her, all because he wanted Clark to be exposed as a "fraud" just because he never believed Clark was the kind of person who really was not about killing and the like, and when Clark said he refused to kill Black, this is what was said.

Black: Lemme square this one up... while you were playing "Cowboys an' Idiots", I came into your house and KILLED your wife... AND YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE THE GUTS TO HIT ME?
Clark: I didn't say that. I said I'm not going to kill you. If that's what you wanted... you lose.

And leading Clark to say how vengeance is not justice. One reason it works so well is because Clark is sticking to his guns. Though what people don't see with Injustice is that when Clark killed Joker, he was wrought with guilt because he felt responsible for killing Lois and their son, as well as millions in Metropolis, but here, even if Black had made Clark feel Lois was dead, he was driven to be able to uphold his beliefs, to not cave into what Black wanted him to do, and to be the hero he is.

I can see something like that in Naruto if it was done right, instead of what the editors and Studio Pierrot and the mess we have currently just because they thought they knew better when they didn't.

I love this comparison, especially when you find out later Superman made it look like it was all a ruse. He didn't just teach Black a lesson, he taught the entire world a lesson. In a way, Manchester was right, but...Superman is also right because an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

This what Naruto failed. It keeps talking about how revenge is bad, but never explains why it was bad really. It also never punishes the people who caused it in the first place. Naruto was supposed to be the third option like Superman was, BUT he just ended up following the grain. The Konoha leaders were absolute corruption and they still got nothing. The people in the government caused everything and yet they are supposed to be seen as the good guys because revenge is wrong? No.

It's like gun laws. You'd think it works, but it doesn't stop people from being violent which is the real issue...it just takes away one more means to kill people. You're avoiding the real problem is why are people becoming more and more violent? They keep wanting to blame everything, but the person themselves or even the parent abuse that might occur.

It is not just one thing...it is a snowball effect of everything.

Naruto should have been the story of "If you want to see change, you have to first be that change...and everything else will fall into place." One thing I am so tired of is instead of blaming the actual cause or villains of it all...they rather blame it on everything else whether it be guns, religion, or anything else.

You're not telling people to be good because it appeals to their humanity. You're telling people to be good because "I told you so." This is why Naruto fails as a leader and as a parents. It is as bad as when my mother would tell me "Don't lie. Lying is bad" and then turn around and lie to someone else right in front of me. When I question "isn't lying is bad" she will say "well, you should lie to everyone, BUT me." You see how messed up that is?

It is not what happens, it is "how did we get here?"

#987546 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by James S Cassidy on 25 July 2022 - 08:32 PM in Icha Icha NaruSaku

Well no. It is not the same. Really, my overall problem is the delivery of Kakashi just telling Sasuke to simply forget about his revenge, rather than calling him out on all of the acts Sasuke did in the name of revenge as you listed. It is the message of simply saying revenge is bad and Kakashi showing a bit of moral myopia over it rather the extremes and circumstances of either case that is contradictory and in my eyes rather hypocritical. Obviously anything and everything Sasuke has done is not something you should be rooting for, but again that is not he is called out on, Both Naruto and Kakashi are giving him the basic don't seek revenge schtick.

"Do as I say, not as I do."

Now if Naruto pushed a kind of Punisher mentality where it is not about revenge it is about punishment and justice. Revenge is an emotional response rather than a logical one and since Naruto supposed to feel and connect with emotion, this should have been a battle he fights.

It is just weird. In some cases, he finds it unreasonable and in other cases, despite it being a similar situation, will say it is reasonable and supports it. I know Naruto is not lawyer anime, but come on this is basic understanding of principles.

Random thought, anyone feel the Red Ribbon Army has become old hat? At this point, they are basically the Ootsutsuki of the Super verse. Like, how many times must they be stopped? They have as many lives as Umbrella.

Dr. Gero is dead...move forward.

Feels like they are just repeating old concepts like Naruto

same  til the rings of power probably ruin sauron.

would naruto become a black rider

Seems Rings of Power is already ruined...no Naruto needed.

Although that is an interesting topic, how would anime characters do in other universes.

Would Goku just massacre all of Star Wars universe or just be brought down? Force Mind trick might ruin Goku's day.
Would Naruto survive in the LotR universe?
How would Luffy fair in say Pirates of the Carribean?

I wonder how many universes Saitama would just wreck with one punch?

#987491 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Its more "I'll follow Jiraiya's wishes and try to find the answer." While also reminding Nagato that Jiraiya believed in him, renewing his hope in peace, and placing his trust in Naruto. I don't have a problem with Pein's talk no jutsu. Since finding the answer to world peace or ending the cycle of hatred is difficult.

But, I don't think the excuse works in the final battle with Sasuke. Since that was suppose to be a clash of plans that were made from the paths they walked to reach that point. Sasuke gave his stupid Shadow-Hokage terrorize the world straight plan while Naruto had no plan, despite the fact the it was the last battle before the end. Which then led to the problems of Boruto as Naruto's failure to have a plan or even an idea meant the next generation has to repeat the same conflict.

You must be a riot at parties.

As for the Sasuke part...well, I think you need to go back farther and the main cause of why everything happened the way it did in the first place.

Honestly, I think Pain needed to say "That's not a plan, that is a goal" kind of inference indicating that wanting to achieve takes more than just wanting it to occur. You want change? You have to be the change.

#987487 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by James S Cassidy on 14 July 2022 - 08:41 PM in Icha Icha NaruSaku

The one common question asked by Narutos foes is "Why dont you just gtive up already?"

thats my ninja way. is the response which leaves them shocked enough to get a boot to the face for their troubles which often rings their bell enough to wake them up from their cynicism and despair

such Inspiration can be a powerful force for good when backed up by the hope such a character brings to a situation or helps to bring back to a person who's lost it. thats what makes Naruto as a character so strong the ability to restore hope

Sadly, the ending turned that on its ear

Pain: "How will you bring peace?"
Naruto: "I don't know"
Pain: "That's not good enough"

*5 minutes later*

Pain: "How will you bring peace?"
Naruto: "I'll do....something"
Pain: "That sounds good. Deus Ex Machina activate"

Did I get it right?

#987483 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by James S Cassidy on 14 July 2022 - 02:29 PM in Icha Icha NaruSaku

If you made Naruto ~Evil wohooo~ all he would do is just reaffirm what they already believe, and won't be able to convince them of anything.

Let's be real here, the concept of evil is the idea that you hold a person accountable for their actions in the Narutoverse. The moment you believe they deserve punishment for their wrongdoings, then you are evil and need to be stopped.

I guess you could say that killing the innocent is evil, but they have this idea of guilty because you support a corrupt system which is not too far off from how people see America today in terms of systemic bigotry, but that is politics and not worth discussing here. Just saying it is alot more realistic than you think.

Naruto is a self-made hypocrite and when it is someone else's revenge or justice he talks you out of it, but if HE deems it okay like say him getting mad and wanting revenge on Orochimaru for taking away his boyfriend best friend then it is okay.

Naruto should have died a long time ago

#987418 Boruto: The NeverEnding Prologue Chapter 71

Posted by James S Cassidy on 04 July 2022 - 04:43 PM in Latest Releases

...I'm gonna assume that is another attempt of a poor joke, but for the sake of dealing with that point I'm gonna take it seriously.

That's a whole lotta post just to say "Serial Escalation."

I am gonna quote the youtuber Gigguk for this one
"I'm sure we all remember the days when Naruto had tactical, down-to-earth fights back before Amadara started dropping the odd meteors over an army of kittening ninjas. Or, hell, before the universe-threatening fights, the Dragon Ball manga started off with general martial arts tournaments. You end up looking at the stark contrast between earlier and later fights to think "Wow, how the hell did we get here?"

All Shonen have this issue. How can we take a concept and keep cranking it up to 11? This is especially true because since it is a tough market to keep the fans interested, their concept is to keep escalation regardless of how much sense it makes. Because things get outrageous, you have to wonder where are the limits? You can make anything sound horrifying enough if you keep saying "the universe is in trouble." For Dragonball, everyone uses these terms to cheapen a matter of dire situations and soon the previous matters seem trivial. We went from moon busting, to planet busting, to star busting, to galaxy busting, and now universe busting. What's next? After being universe busters, how can you keep reshowing threats.

Now, many series do this including One-Punch Man and JoJo Bizarre Adventure, but what makes them different I feel is they throw in an element that Dragonball doesn't have. (Naruto has it, but they ended up throwing it all away anyway.) Existentialism and what I call practical problem strategy. Goku never "thinks." It is all about "how can I make my number bigger?" It has been since Dragonball like you said to name a specific of Korrin and the water jug. The water didn't do anything, it was him just getting fast enough to grab it. In JoJo's, they actually come up with plans to shorten the power gap and even trick opponents into losing. It is not just power-up after power-up after power-up.

One Punch Man I think really plays the reverse. He already has all the power, but is he really using it well and is he truly a hero? Chapter 165-166 really gaves us a reality check for Saitama. Dragonball is cheap with this escalation crap. It looks cool, but it is so bad when you think about it. Anyone with half a brain can outwit Goku and considering that he is no stronger than a human if he is blindsided, it kind of makes Goku a glass cannon.

This concept of "if at first you don't succeed, just make the gun bigger" is what sucks about it. You're basically reducing down from a universe of infinite possibilities to a threat no bigger than a few blocks.

P.S. By the way, Bail, it is time you tone down the sarcastic cocky-ness, please. You're not the only one who watches other anime than Naruto and Dragonball. Hell, I was watching anime even before Dragonball made the scene in America. Speed Racer, Gigantor, and many more. If you know me well enough all my jokes are a reference to previous posts I used to say.

I still f***ing hate that I mean come on Retro said it best in his rise and fall of Naruto you needed a Joker or your Sidious. But no everyone is a victim.

"Not everyone can be Vader, someone has to be Palpatine"
-Retrospect Greg

The only characters who had this were characters that weren't that main event villain
Deidara, Hidan, and most the Akatsuki

I also think this is why Madara was also a good villain. He literally did anything for the sake of it. The man was practically bored with existence and almost seem like he did anything to take his mind away

Yeah! And I prefer the idea that I wanna use in my fanfic that Madara snapped when his brother Izuna, even when wounded fatally by Tobirama, wanted peace with the Senju clan, after realizing how too much blood was spilled by their clans, and Madara killed him and took his Sharingan for himself, becoming more and more evil. Hell, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure does that so well in just having a villain being a villain with Dio. He may have claimed to love his mother, but he was, as Speedwagon said, BORN evil considering how twisted he was to try to break Jonathan in Phantom Blood when he came to the Joestar estate, as well as his desires to become a god.

I could say the same for Dragonball Super. HAH!!!

The corpse he consumed was long dead by the time that happened.

Fate worse than death means the person is still alive. The final stage of edo tensei is to kill the host so the revived soul has free reign.

You just like killing jokes don't you?

I don't supposed you think the forest in Orochimaru's lair was him becoming a botanist do you?

The new character they added into Kenobi I feel wasn't necessarily bad, but in terms of the show it was kind of the weak link of the story to me personally.

I think it is not about making new characters because Mandolorian proves new characters can be awesome

But you have to be careful. I don't think they did it right here.

It seems people don't like the new characters in the show.

However, when revisiting the old characters and seeing the action sequences between the story of older characters...then people loved it.

I think they need to stop adding new "main" characters and focus more on expanding the story already there.

He absorbs it. Remember the edo tensei coats and consumes the host so the dead can possess it. Its why when the body is damages it turns to ash and reforms. Only releasing the Jutsu/revived-soul do you see the original body.

The process of edo tensei using are: get a remnant of a person you want to summon, get a sacrifice, uses the jutsu to coat the sacrifice putting the revived soul in nominal control of the body, use a special kunia with a seal to both kill the host and put the revived soul under your control.

Orochimaru did it in front of the third which this was explained and Kabuto did a full demonstration for Obito.

The rinnegan turn a body of ash into flesh and blood completing the possession. The original body is gone.

So essentially....Madara ate it.

A fate worse than death indeed

#987329 The Great Naruto Discussion Thread

Maybe Orochimaru experiments with it in his Labs, because with Naruto being Hokage, there is no Problem a criminal like him can do as he pleases.

Okay, let me be more specific just to make sure what we are talking,

So the Edo Tensei requires a sacrifice of a person's body to bring another back to life. Correct? So after Madara used the rinnegan to literally bring himself back from the dead, whatever happened to the sacrificial body he was using?

I think this is fridge horror material here

#987316 The Great Naruto Discussion Thread

This is what EXACTLY needed for that damn comment Masashi stated when Madara was causing havoc during the war because he was OP and he doesn't know how he could be stopped. A sealer was needed and it can be incorporated to Wood Style-type sealing technique. SMH

The Uzamaki Clan and the Wood release were said to be MASTERS of sealing techniques and yet we see barely any save for the Death god seal.

Random thought, whatever happened to the body Edo Tensei Madara was using after he revived himself? Does it just fade away or discarded? Seems like a fate worse than death.

#987314 Boruto: The NeverEnding Prologue Chapter 71

Posted by James S Cassidy on 22 June 2022 - 06:29 PM in Latest Releases

Sorry, but I'm gonna dig it in a bit more just to make the point clear to all.

'At age 13, Boruto (Bolt) and Kawaki (Nail) are stronger than all the Hokage, all the kage, any ninja that has ever existed, all the characters you know and love from Naruto. They have become so strong that when they fight any of those character you loved would just be in the way because they are too weak compared to these two. Ultimately, they became that strong not because of any training, not any hard work, nor even innate talent. But, because the karma seal download power, experience, and abilities into them that made them the strongest beings the ninja world shall ever see.'

Does anyone get a force skype download feel to it? Remember when Ray was "learning" how to be jedi by "downloading" Kylo's skills?
