What is your favorite anime couple of all time? It doesn't have to be from Naruto. It can be from any anime.

I think possibly Tomoya x Nagisa from Clannad/After Story (Not sure what the ship name for this pairing or if there is a name at all.) The After Story just adds so much to their relationship and to me is probably the most beautiful fictional love story I ever saw.

After thinking a lot about it, I would say it is Kouji/Sayaka from Mazinger-Z. It may sound weird since that series was action-focused, but often they were hilarious (most likely they CREATED the Belligerent Sexual Tension trope) and they also had tender and touching moments (especially in the original manga. The anime adaptation played their relationship mainly for comedy). They also were a Battle Couple (even though somewhat inept) and I am very fond of that trope.

 

Forerunners are Ranma/Akane from Ranma 1/2, Ryo/Kaori from City Hunter, Kyosuke/Madoka from Kimagure Orange Road, Shinji/Asuka from Evangelion and Naruto/Sakura from... well, I shall let you guess the last one.

Man, that's hard, but I'm going to say Soul and Maka from Soul Eater. I think their relationship has so much depth, I love the trust they have in each other, and the way they are so set on protecting the other to the point of self sacrifice.

 

Runners up -- besides Naruto/Sakura are: 

 

Tomoya and Nagisa (like questdrivencollie said, it's a beautiful relationship)

 

Victorique and Kazuya -- Gosick (because it's just seriously cute)

 

Of course this list is always subject to change, but those are the current tops.

This is a tough choice, but I have to say my favorite is Hikaru Ichijyo/ Misa Hayase from Macross or sometimes better known as Rick Hunter/ Lisa Hayes from Robotech.

 

I believe this is the first pairing I've ever shipped before I realized what shipping was.
