Hope it's not crap like the 2016 one. Though even if it is, think of the video game as 3 because that's basically what it is.

It won't be the same without Harold Ramis.

Which makes me wonder if the video game will be part of the canon or retconned out. From the way the Ecto-1 is tarped it looks like the ghost trapper on top of it because they have this huge tube thing on top bulging out.
It won't be the same without Harold Ramis.
It won't be, but I would rather have him make an amazing mention or cameo in this one than to have a kitten GB reboot like 2016 again.

I thought it was funny. Not enough for the big screen, but cozy for a movie night. It didnt take itself seriously so I didnt have to either. And if youre a straight man I get why you didnt appreciate chris hemsworth.Hope it's not crap like the 2016 one. I didn't think it was funny. It felt to bland and boring. 3 Won-Ton jokes?
But what really gets people to hate it was when Leslie Jones and Paul Feig threw hissy fits calling anyone sexist for not liking it.
And more recently: this
Update: Apparently Leslie Jones is back peddling? I don't know. She and Paul Feig are comparing this all to Hilary vs Trump. Why?
Why in hell are they comparing Ghostbusters to politics? This is so stupid. Plenty of women didn't like Ghostbusters 2016 either. It wasn't because they were women, it was because the movie was bad. The fans did not want a reboot they wanted a sequel to Ghostbusters. They have been asking for over 15 years. Come on.
I really wish Hollywood stopped putting politics in movies.
Jason Reitman, Ernie Hudson, and the rest said nothing bad about Ghostbusters 2016 and these babies want to keep bashing on this new movie on this premise because "everyone hates wah-mens." Like seriously?
Just stop. People want to see movies. Stories. Not your political agenda. We go to movies to escape this crap.
Let the Ghostbusters have what they want. Of course they said Ghostbusters 2020 is will have mix of two guys, two girls, but apparently this is not good enough.
This is why I hate politics today.

Her tweet was very unclear, and at first I didn't understand what exactly upset her. Initially I thought it was because she and her costars weren't part of the new movie. If that's in then that's just dumb. :/ But now I think it's because GB2016, in her eyes, was GB3. It was a flop but even then it shouldn't be scrapped from history.
So I understand her point(she didn't explain it well imo), but this new movie might be a sequel with the same characters as the first two, or just a continuation of that story. If so GB3 has the right name, and GB2016 was a remake/spin-off.
Do we know yet that it is certainly a sequel? And maybe the title is a temporary one until the real one is released. But we don't know that so she judged the new movie too early.

If it takes THIS LONG to make a sequel, that's usually bad news. From what I heard, Bill Murray was approached several times for a potential Ghostbusters 3, and he kept saying "Leave me alone". We'll see I guess; Ghostbusters was never really a part of my life, the closest I got to it was the cartoon and even that I only watched casually..
The reboot was bad, but honestly it did not garner all that attention it got, both for and against it. At least it wasn't part of the same universe.

Bill Murray doesn't like doing sequels cause, as he said, the sequels never are as good as the first. However, he did do the video game and said he had a good time doing it. So who knows? Bill is a funny guy (no pun intended) in that he could say one thing and do another. There are literally times where they don't know if he is doing a movie until he basically walks in on set during filming (Lost in Translation) and Dan Aykroyd has said that they have a plan for both if he wants to be in it or not to be in it. We KNOW Dan is going to be in GB3. He would NEVER miss the opportunity.
I feel most of the original cast hated the 2016 movie. Especially Bill who was just so distraught. He look as bad as Mark Hamill did at the premiere of Last Jedi. Just surprised and disgusted.

Already loved it because this is what the fans truly want to see in the first place. A sequel to the second movie from the late 80's not the piece of crap 2016 reboot we got. Where the next generation of Ghostbusters are born. Ignoring what SJW idiots think of it. They hated it obviously but I could care less they hate everything that isn't part of their retarded agenda.
Also the title to the movie is" Afterlife" stars the guy from Antman I think he's plays Peter's son.

Finished seeing Ghostbusters Afterlife and it was awesome. It was a bit of a slow burn, but it was really good. The ending made me cry happy tears.
