I agree that Crisis Core/ Advent Children is more socially awkward than shy. I don't think game Cloud is all that socially awkward. Crisis Core/Advent Children Cloud is not necesarrily the same Cloud as in the game. I think they made him too brooding. He's got things that weigh him down but he didn't seem that down after said mindscrew.
 
Um... should we say the mindscrew is spoiler territory for new players now since it's going to get remade? Thoughts?

Tbh, I never play the game, but it doesn't stop me to know the lore since I love that kind of thing. So I don't mind getting spoiler, but that just me. I don't think remake will that different with original in term of story telling.

I still think, last order/crisis core is what cloud originally behave.
In ff7, he's cloud with zack memory/personality.
In advent children he become brooding because geo stigma(?) and his guilt to the dead of aerith and zack.

Well atleast it's not Zidane identity crisis level.

Yes, but even in the flash backs as a child he seemed to fight to change the shy personality he had as a kid. And then after he snaps out of his coma in the game he's every bit as confident as he is when it's Zack prime Cloud.

It's just me but I think Cloud looks too skinny. They said they were going to base the 3D models on Advent Children, and Cloud clearly looks more well-built.

I used to do LTD debates years agooo, but SE has been pretty definitive that CLoti was in fact end game with every new release. 

As for why Cloud would be skinnier in the original game..well he was basically catatonic for a while, and pretty sickly, out of his mind afterwards...not really good for the physique

Yeah, but the thing is, the presentation is a bit jarring to me. I mean I get why..... But there is a suspension of disbelief when you see a skinny guy carrying around that huge sword of his....

Why wouldn't they? FF7 is square enix gold mine. Announcing the game alone already sent their stocks sky rocket.

 

I was planning to get the game shortly after launch, but after hearing the news it might be best to wait a couple of months (if not an year) for an eventual ultimate edition. I'm certanly not letting some greedy game devs milk my money.

Heh, I suppose I just distanced myself after the ending fiasco. After venting my frustations here, there wasn't much to talk about. The off-topic sessions can be pretty slow at times. I still lurk from time to time though.

 

I actually suspect this will be just like Star wars battlefront, in wich you needed to buy the season pass to get the full experience, pretty much making you pay the price of two games for one.

Weeell the whole story kinda requires suspension of disbelief...and his super strength can be backed up by the Mako Steroid trip he took....

But he definitely does look sickly the more i look at him. Which to me makes sense...

Lol and people will still buy it...ff7's story line (without all the added compilations.) was a legit master piece, cannot sing its praises high enough.
