So I've beaten plenty of games in my (unofficial XD) career, but there are some that have been so frustratingly hard that I never got to the end screen.
 
So what are some games that you were never able to finish because of their difficulty

SNES
 
Battletoads In Battle Maniacs - I love the music and design of this game and it is fun to play, but WOW is it hard. I was able to get past the first couple of stages but as it went on, I could never get to the last few. The difficulty was insane.
 
GB/GBA
 
Golden Sun: The Lost Age - I made it pretty far through Golden Sun: The Lost Age, but it just kept going and going. It came to the point where there simply wasn't much direction as what to do next and I pretty much gave up
 
GameCube
 
Pikmin - Pikmin wasn't the most difficult game ever, but the time limit aspect really made things challenging. If you screwed up and and had to retry a level, it would be even more challenging.

A lot of them... the main ones:

 

Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger (one day I'm gonna get them in my computer and complete them), Prince of Persia too and Pokemon Yellow ( I was never able to beat the rival last battle ) and funnily enough I managed beat the pokemon yellow's protagonist in pokemon crystal later on

I never finished Kingdom Hearts II cause Xemnas pissed me off.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, that game is one of my favorites and cannot play it, why? I have one  hand and wanted to play it but its control is impossible to play with one hand.

I never finished Resident Evil 0. I have it and can pop it in whenever I want, but I just don't feel like it. I don't know why.

Also never finished Ocarina of Time.

Games I never finished? My list of games I've completed is much much much smaller. To give you a small example, my PS2 collection consisted of over 70 games, I'd played roughly a dozen of them, and completed zero...though I do consider the PS2 a dark time in gaming for me, I really hated that controller, and hated the mere idea of playing with it.

 

I don't think I've given up on games because they were too hard for me, I've just moved on to the next game or got distract, the only exception for me is Mario games, for some reason I always suck at them, I don't think I can say I've ever completed any of his games, the closest I came was Mario 64 when I had like three lvels to do and I kept messing up one of the jumps and I just gave up in the end.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team. I've never finished it after a year and a few months of having it. Its kinda sad. The game seemed cool at first but then it just got boring... and kinda confusing but it still was fun at least.

Also, Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters. I got it for my 3ds through Club Nintendo and oh boy.. what a waste of coins. I get lost very easily and It's hard to play the game when there's so much enemies coming at you randomly at the same time. I've died so many times in this game and it's not even funny. I'm barely past the the second.... level? World? Stage? Whatever they call it in this game..I just really hate having multiple enemies being thrown at me at the same time, I hate when any game does that.

The original Kingdom Hearts. I got all the way to the final boss but never came around to finishing it off.

 

Currently, I still haven't beat Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, while everyone else I know has. I don't know why.. I just feel so uninspired to play it.

Oh it is!!! But I had it on the GBA and I can't find my Copy! So I'll purchase an emulation on Nintendo e-shop.

My Steam backlog says hello. 

 

It's a lethal combination of big game sales and not enough free time.  Maybe I'll be able to make a small dent in the backlog when I go on holiday...

 

There is one Wii game I never finished, and still regret.  It's Skyward Sword.  The game is fantastic, and I got all the way up to the final boss fight... and stopped.  I'm a fit guy, but cutting down endless waves of minions is bloody exhausting, especially when you're trying to relax after a busy day.
