Hard to say, she had her school uniform on, and the perspective she was drawn, actually make it look like she shrunk, in height and other other area's but I expect that was just the way it was drawn, unless Yuki had a grown spurt.

 

Did I miss it, but did the Aldini brothers not get featured in this weeks chapter? we saw pretty much everyone else except the second years (well third years now) and the Aldini brothers, oh and the dorm member that's always looking like he's close to death. which is odd when you consider that the second years and Takumi all played an important part in the Shokugeki.

Why do I get the feeling that this is gearing up for the end or something, guys? I also had kinda hoped we wouldn't have had a time skip even of a few months, since I wanted to see some closure between Azami and Joichiro, since they needed it after the fact that Azami is still deep down messed up because he feels that what happened to Joichiro is what drove him to leave Tootsuki and the fact that he felt betrayed.

 

Not that I'm not curious to what Soma and Megumi are gonna do next, I just wanted closure for the past too.

Why do I get the feeling that this is gearing up for the end or something, guys? I also had kinda hoped we wouldn't have had a time skip even of a few months, since I wanted to see some closure between Azami and Joichiro, since they needed it after the fact that Azami is still deep down messed up because he feels that what happened to Joichiro is what drove him to leave Tootsuki and the fact that he felt betrayed.

 

Not that I'm not curious to what Soma and Megumi are gonna do next, I just wanted closure for the past too.

Interesting how the boys are the fashionistas here lol well except for Soma since his isn't a fashion statement it's his Diner clothes and he just wears  pajama like-slacks the rest of the time

Well the way the chapter ended it maybe gearing up for another faction to come out of the wood works and threaten the whole school. To me, Soma needs to overcome not only Erina but also his own father. So, I believe we got ways to go before it ends. I am assuming the main antagonist for part 2 is on the level of his father or way above.

They may have three part one for each school year. This one is starting with someone infiltrating the school to undermine Erina going by this chapter.

Did Souma change his hair again? OK they are their to investigate some hot springs that connected to the school shutting down, and apparently this has become a murder mystery manga now. How is this undermining the school? Shouldn't this be left to the police?

Well that chapter took a odd turn, this is a cooking manga right? The mangaka didn't decide to make this into crime thriller.

 

I'm guessing either a old student or rival school is challenging these hotel owners and they are betting their livelihood on it.

yeah but I like the change of pace personally. there is nothing for them to do at school since Soma got into the first seat already and he just started second year, Plus I'm sure the issue will be resolved in a cook off anyway

Well the culprit was not a surprise one bit, the manga made it very obvious, and appears Megumi's dark side includes her own Yuri harem.

 

Well after the end of the chapter I hope it's Megumi that challenges the...yet another trope filled villain, it's obvious that this person is just the foot soldier in this secret organisation so it's only fair he's defeated by the supposed weakest member of the elite 10, and on top of that, it's an area she specialises in, so I hope she gets the time shine.

Yeah I hope she gets to shine more too, But I also hope they don't undermine her development by saying that this weaboo is foot soldier fodder, as you say  I actually hope he has a rep to him and is a legit threat so it doesn't seem like they are spoon feeding Megumi wins only against weaklings. Well I am enjoying the arc so far but I hope that it won't all be like this. Admittedly I think it was a bit too early for Soma to gain the first seat because now he was no aspirations to drive towards besides his long term goal to be a better chef than his dad and is now just playing as Erina's enforcer (and pseudo-like boyfriend) lol

 

Side note, I assume then Megumi is covertly bi?

Talk about a zero tension shokugeki, this was Megumi afterall, someone who panics over the smallest things, she's treating this like cooking for family with zero s***s given, certainly shows a big difference to the girl that almost got expelled because she stressed out and made mistakes.

I just find the chapter funny because that so called underworld chef is a weeb of the highest order   But yeah I'm happy with Megumi's development truly she's looking more like a Yamato Nadeshiko now as a side note

Really don't get how Takumi and Nene are ranked lower than Ryu and co, I think it would make more sense for them two to be ranked 4 and fifth, also not satisfied with Eizen being ranked higher than Nene, he was the weakest from the Elite 10 yet he keeps on getting shoved in our faces.

 

So who else realised straight away that when the midnight chefs started talking, that the person who's name would be Saiba? Don't think it actually means the Jouchirou is the culprit, it could be someone who admired him, or maybe even related to him somehow, as these are common plot devices used in Manga. though it likely is him, just revealing his name doesn't mean it is definitely him.

He was the weakest because he focused more on the business side of thing then he did the cooking. Like I said he too good with money to be kicked out. Nene could have after the tournament stop caring about the rankings.

 

Who know. So far I haven't really been that interested in this arc.

I wonder with this arc if this Saiba person is someone related to Jouichiro, considering we dunno much about his family, or some theories are it could be Azami, but something tells me it's gonna be a little more complicated than it seems.
