It was a large reason why I dropped the anime a long time ago, BEFORE pairinggate (I'm calling it that just cause).

 

I like the term. It is what it is right now in the fandom: pairing-gate.

I think all teams were made according to their skills? Team 8 specialized in tracking, Team 10 was the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, Team Gai were the heavy hitters (not sure). Idk what Team 7 was supposed to be. Some type of motley crew or something.

Gai team is taijutsu oriented team.
Team 7 is the complete & balance team, Neo sannin, and the most powerful.

Earlier it's supposed to be completed and balance in the sense that Naruto is taijutsu user, Sasuke is ninjutsu user, and sakura is genjutsu user. Too bad sakura never develop her genjutsu potential.

Neo sannin because each one of them learn under the sannin.

The most powerful because shonen plot demand it, with the exception of sakura.

I really wish sakura learn a genjutsu attack if not master it and learn and elemental ninjutsu because the other can do that too and she's Kakashi student. I Think Sakura is supposed to be like Hermione but Kishi doesn't develop her to be like that.

Kryptonian Saiyajin, right? Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy. I get the impression he likes or is at least okay with Boruto, but he acknowledges the romantic sub-plot tanked hard in the original. I complimented him for recognizing the inconsistencies in the story, databooks and Kishimoto's interviews, and he gave me a heart (maybe he thought I was a girl?) and said:

"I try to stay unbiased in my videos, unless it's clearly an opinion piece. I love Kishimoto's work, but you have to admit, he did get caught with his pants down. It's an open secret that editorial input can drastically change the direction a story can take, even Hiro MIshima was caught kittening about it. Just own up to it."

I think the reason his video got relatively less hate was because it was made years after the fallout; NH has somewhat calmed down by then and most no longer feel under threat for criticism with Boruto well under way. Some time has passed, people with no stake in the shipping have checked out Naruto and came to the same conclusion as us to; that was also probably a factor. He was supposedly supposed to do a "NaruSaku Decoded" video, but I guess other projects caught his interest.

Funny thing, he also has a video on the worst Naruto villain. He picked Toneri, citing he was hoping for some actual world building but instead got a cliche' love interest for HInata, then went on a rant on how Kishimoto killed Neji  for NH, and made fun of Hinata:

I just watched is video on NS and I couldn't agree more. The way he came off on the video was clearly that NS should have been the end game. He pointed out how some missing subplots like the forehead scene and how it should have been there at the end. The only difference I would make is that there will be no Last because there will be no need for it.

Seems to me that both Naruto and Dragonball are suffering a severe case of "canon idiocy." Although, when it comes Naruto, it is SP and the Boruto writers who can't keep it straight while Dragonball seems to suffer from writer ambiguity, but both have the fandoms cherry picking what they deem is "canon."

I'll shall explain:
In Dragonball Super, many fans love to over exaggerate Goku's and Vegeta's abilities to the point of just outrageous claims. They say "Goku can't lift 100 quintillion tons," but when the Super manga shows Vegeta being unable to lift 1000 tons (and they specifically say it is over 1000 tons) the fanbase loves to say "Well, that is from the manga and is not canon."

In Naruto and Boruto, it is the exact same thing except for anything negative about the pairings. It is specifically shown that SS and NH are seen in a negative light and pointed out their huge faults the fandom claims "canon idiocy" and says that is either not canon, a mistranslation, or misinterpretation. Pick one, you won't be wrong.

For a VERY long time people have always told me that the manga is canon and the anime is only an interpretation with anime non-canon plots. Alright, makes sense, but now all of a sudden, the manga is non-canon and the anime IS canon OR they interchange between the two. The biggest offenders are when the canon movies are being altered in another source later on in the story. In Dragonball Super, it is only minor details that change, but the fandom maks them like they are huge leaps and bound. In the movie, Ressurection of F, Goku gets blasted while in SSJGSSJ form and is motrally wounded. In the anime or manga, he was in his base form. Why the change? Probably to not piss the Goku fanboys off. Now in Naruto/Boruto it even more obvious how they change it every single time they retell the story. Naruto is a bad father, now he is a good father, now he is a bad father again. Hinata changes from shy, to being a tsundere, to back to being shy. Sasuke and Sakura are all over the place and don't even get me started on Salad who can't make up her mind whether her own father is a scumbag or not.

Of course, Naruto/Boruto don't have Kishimoto driving the story anymore so the currect writers are just doing whatever they want and just change when fans have a bad reaction to something. I am actually surprised that Hinata's boobs haven't changed sizes by now to the point of her being a walking set of breasts with hair.

By the way, I always love how the term "supervisor" means "I write everything and I am god so everything you see is canon" even if really all Kishimoto says is "fine, do whatever I don't care anymore." Which is exactly what I think he is doing. For someone who "supervises" the story, they sure make A LOT of mistakes and inconsistencies.

To be fair to Goku fanboys, that was stupid as hell. It made no sense. It couldn't simply be that he was caught off guard, since that has happened a ton of times and the fighters didn't actually get killed by an attack that was vastly weaker than them. So he powered down. But why would he power down so much that he can get killed by something that has a power level that is probably one one billionth of his max? What would be the point? It shouldn't matter if he's in base form since the base Goku is also ridiculously stronger than some crappy laser. They made base Goku absurdly strong.

 

It's made worse by making it something that Frieza actually planned out. Like it's very stupid that it worked, but the fact that someone as evil and ruthless as Frieza actually expected it to work is even stupider.

Bottom line is , most people believe what they want to believe , if they don't like it even if it's the truth they refuse to believe it , they rather believe in sweet lies. The pro ending fans lived in a bubble of dream , lies and delusion thinking that everything is fine , NH and SS is the embodiment of what a perfect couple should be : a father that never home , out of control child , and a female reduce to nothing more than damsel in distress , 10 years old fangirl , and a miserable housewife that has no dream or career and drown in debt. And i already said this time and time again , it's back to : "What i want , not what the character want".

 

Sometimes it amaze me how can people become so blinded when they like something. Off topic little bit , i have this one friend once long ago when i'm still in high school. He has a girlfriend and he always brag and talk about how amazing his girlfriend is to me and all his friends. One day there's a rumor going around that his girlfriend is cheating on him and goes with other man but he refuse to believe it , short story is as time pass a lot of people seeing this girl goes with other man just to drain they money. But this guy still refuse to believe it , in his mind his girlfriend is perfect and those who badmouth her become his enemy even i.

 

I don't understand why people can be so blinded when they like something they refuse to accept the truth that the things they like is bad and horrible even after being provide by tons of prove / evidence. I'm not saying to STOP LIKING IT , everyone free to like whatever they want but don't glorified it , don't put sugar coat on it , and don't say it's perfect when in fact it's not.

Kishimoto is "supervising" and "editing" the manga. The writer of the Boruto manga is supervising the anime. It is not clear which one is canon from what I know. But going by assume the same unless change; the manga. Which is what everyone else is clearly going by most of the time. But it is very clear that SP wants all the anime episodes to be consider canon, not only every Boruto episode, but even every Naruto episode that they have ever made. As for the inconsistencies there are many reason for those more then I can think off the top of my head.

 

As for Dragonball super from what I understand it is the anime that was dubbed canon, maybe by toriyama it been too long since I heard about it. Goku fanboy have always overstated his power. Look at death battle, both time they were not wrong in those fights. Superman has no limits and normally is holding back massively so he doesn't kill anyone. Goku has limits that he constantly surpasses by fighting stronger and stronger foes as well as gain new transformations that multiply his power.

Episode 50 : "The Chunin Exams: The Recommendation Meeting"

Apparently this episode is 95% recap of the previous episode , the teacher have a meeting in a bar/restaurant and have a discussion if they should give their team chunnin exam recommendation. But it ended up become a drinking party. I bet the fans get pissed because it's recap episode.

And apparently this episode gave birth to Konohamaru x Hanabi pairing , people starting to talk about it.

Konohamaru = Naruto

Moegi = Sakura

Hanabi = Hinata

Yeah yeah .... naturally , looks like they turn Hanabi into another hinata clone.

Wow, so they are being both petty and contrary by trying to pair Konohamaru, who has vaguely Naruto-esque traits, with the only slightly likeable Hyuga alive just so that they can perpetuate the dynamic of Naruto and Hinata (or possibly Boruto and the Clone); yet they expect us to give a damn about the prospect of Boruto and Sarada hooking up?  Now, I don't personally care about who they want to pair Konohamaru with(though logically, Moegi would be the logical choice), but I see the writing on the wall here and it makes me question the maturity level of the writers to be this blithely insulting.  And whether they realize it or not, they've also acknowledged that the only thing left that holds any of their fans' attention spans is the shameless ship teasing.  Otherwise, there is nothing left for this franchise.  It is a sinking ship and I think they know that at this point.

This must be the birthday Naruto skipped due to work. That episode is to try and justify Bolt's whining during the chunin exams. This also means that their two kids birthdays must be around a month apart.

 

As for the KonoHana thing. When you main pairing that your forced to set up (BS) is a copy of a paring you gleefully destroyed (NS) that has all the moments to support the pairing happen. While the pairing you made (BS) that is a copy of the pairing you supported (nH) that the parents have no chemistry therefor no way to justify it. You'd best make a new pairing to justify it using the apprentice/mentor that people like (?) and the sister/aunt that because kishimoto never gave her a personality you were able to mold however you wished.

In the real world , what happen if you see a teacher get drunk ? , they can get fired.

Do you want your kids to be teach by these drunk teacher ? Can you entrust your kid future and education to these drunk teacher ?

If they can't correct themselves and set a good example for the kids what's the point ?

Isn't teacher suppose to be , respectfully looking and walk with dignity ?

Great the manga is up. I'll have the summary up in a bit.

Episode 50 is just recap , or just nothing more than a flash back about the teacher remember stuff from the previous episode. Even many of the pro ending got mad at this , i read some of the comment in myanimelist website.
