i can't quite put my finger on it, but is it because the revelation in pandora hearts is much more grand? with the court and stuff.

 

i don't like that in naruto it kinda degrades kaguya to the same old 'mother with the child' trope.. sry but i think even if kishi didn't mean to, he's really sexist.

 

It was just better built up to and overall executed in PH. In Naruto, it came after a ton of questionable events and tons of kittening around. The main thing being him throwing the main villain he's built up for hundreds and hundreds of chapters in the garbage for a character he came up with 10 chapters ago.

I think Pandora Hearts just has a better build up so that these kind of revelations don't feel like they're coming out of left field. In Naruto, Kishimoto builds one thing (like Madara being the big boss villain) only to say "Eh, no" and pulls something else out of his hat that raises more questions than it answers.

also.. even though the old lady and black zetsu are really similar, the old lady was more mysterious and hyped by glen himself (levi).. zetsu on the other hand is more of a joke material because of the mass white zetsu and poop joke lol..

Well that was an awesome chapter

I should have seen the connection between Miranda and Demios a mile away, yet I didn't. I feel so stupid now. Vincent just can't escape his torment...

 

This is starting to get really intense now with Oz and company showing up.

 

Also, man Levi's more malicious than I thought. He really is twisted.

Yep, that's why they connect so well, and what makes that hug scene many chapters ago all the more impacting.

Retrace 96

This was very much a build-up chapter, and boy did it build. Doldee might hijack Noise’s body and who knows what’ll happen from there, Ada seems to have gotten a second wind after learning a horrible truth about Vincent and is heading to the others with now visible determination, Vincent himself is losing control of Demios and feels worse about himself than he possibly ever has before (thanks Glen), and Noise has arrived on the scene with a now “kitten it all” attitude.

 

The pieces are moving, and they’re moving towards what looks like will be a hell of a payoff. And now the wait for next chapter begins…

I didn't realize chapter 97 was out yet until I checked for an update today. But wow, another epic, beautiful chapter.  I just love this manga.

this is unrelated to my first sentence. just want to ask, does anybody remember how ada fell in love with vince? i only remember the funny bit from anime.. oz and the uncle were so mad at gil lol

 

It never really showed her in the process of falling for him, except for very brief glimpses. We mostly saw the aftermath of them having spent a lot of time together, right before a wrench was to be thrown in everything.

Ada freaking Vincent out like she did with her "collection" is arguably the funniest moment in the manga. 

 

I have had hell throughout the series trying to decide between OzxAlice and OzxEcho. I thought I had firmly decided on OzxAlice finally. Then Retrace 97 came along. I am once again torn.
