You know, I actually do recall this special of the Naruto cast in High School...I forget if Kakashi made an appearance though. No Naruto related special or idea is complete unless Kakashi at least makes an appearance! You hear me?! Kakashi or NOTHING!!!!

Not too keen on the idea, sure it made for a good ending but a full length spinoff series? I'll pass.

Yeah this is kind of how I feel. If it were like a OVA, with a storyline that didn't parallel every arc in the Naruto canon series I'd be fine. Like 4 episode OVA or something. But a full series on it's own.

I wish kishi wouldn't keep putting his guys in ugly/ bulky outfits (butt bow, anyone?) , but that's what you get when a straight man dresses his characters XD how about unzipping naruto's jacket once in a while, huh man ? Kankuro could actually be kind of good looking if he would ditch the face paint/ hood combo. But I digress...
I think it would be a good idea as an extra side- stor in a manga volume, kinda like when Miho obana wrote a separate " mizu no yakata" volume for Kodocha. I know the merchandise featuring the characters in their uniforms would sell big.

OMG! Scarred for Life! Kabuto in a skirt? That wasn't so bad. Orochimaru in a skirt? AHHH! SOMEONE GOUGE OUT MY EYEBALLS! That was gross. It would be interesting though. And I believe Akatsuki was mentioned there? I don't understand why Sakura cut her hair at the end though. Strange, but I agree something off this would be awesome!

It looks like a possible good spin-off but i highly doubt it would happen. Sure it would be a cool twist but its not going to be as entertaining to watch our favorite ninjas reduced to the life of an average high school student 
Plus, how would they accomplish the perfect split from the acctual series to this? Is sasuke gonna magiclly reapear as if nothing happened? No sir. so it looks cool but highly unlikly
