Pretty funny chapter. The chemistry between Naruto and Kurama is just awesome. Sadly no Sakura.

And we get jealous Sasuke.

Just finished reading the chapter and....

...

I thought for a second that Minato was going to say that Naruto and Sasuke are like him and Kushina. But Naruto being like Kushina? That's actually really interesting, it makes me wonder what kind of fighter Kushina was. Maybe after this arc is over we'll get a flashback to Minato and Kushina's teamwork during the war and even when they were young. That said, Kushina being mentioned again like this makes me wonder what else Minato is going to say or think to himself.

In any case I'm not too worried about Obito at this point, it's pretty obvious he's going to lose and it doesn't look like he'll be taking anyone with him when he dies, so I'm just looking forward to seeing what Sasuke has that can match up to Naruto's strength.

damn short chapter

So interesting chapter. The Naruto kushina thing isn't clear it felt to me like Minato remembered himself when he was with Kushina not that Naruto was Kushina...but in a way the other way works because Naruto is son of both Minato and Kushina so it isn't something odd to say that Naruto resembles Kushina somewhat. But this chapter was about something else.
The power Naruto has isn't just yang but yin part can do the same thing. The only differences right now are in personality it seems.
Also so is it really infinite tsukuyomi or something else? and the editor trolls us again.

I knew Naruto's power up would fuel Sasuke's anger anytime soon! Now it's very obvious Sasuke needs to get some sort of power up to keep up with Naruto and given how he has reacted before to this same situation I believe he will do anything to achieve this power up! (a.k.a. Senju cells).

 

About Obito, he seems to be rushing things a little too much and Madara doesn't seem to like it. Probably we'll see his trump card very soon. And I don't know why but I feel like Obito will not stay as the Juubi Jinchuriki for much longer. 

 

Still, it was a short chapter... nothing related to pairings as expected.

Well then...

That was a something eventful chapter. We have some comedic banter with Naruto and Kurama. It's interesting to see how far their partnership/relationship has come since P1. Kurama may not want to admit openly but he obviously perceives Naruto as a friend now. After he was created by the Sage the world only looked upon him as a mindless entity of destruction and warfare. It's obviously come as a shock to him that someone, particularly Naruto who at first just treated him as a power outlet without really trying to understand his situation or thoughts, is now considering him to be a peer and ally in battle. But I'm just stating the obvious.

 

Once again, Naruto's stupidity shines through. It's as if Kishi is shifting between these stints of ingenuity and leadership understanding with forgetfulness and stupidity. To many it's probably obvious that he switches the mood of Naruto's character depending on what the situation demands.

 

It's awesome to see Kurama bringing up the moment in the Invasion of Pain arc where his chakra pooled together with Naruto's Sage Mode for just a moment. I honestly didn't believe that Kishi would address it again so this came as a pleasant surprise to me. We even got some additional information as to how and why Kurama disrupted the fusion process. Apparently he thinks that senjutsu is a skill that's beneath his own worth given his tone of voice and offended expression when he mentioned it to Naruto. No doubt this change of mood came as a result of Naruto's influence.

 

Some more father and son interaction is good. Minato develops his own chakra entity which will undoubtedly move further up the tier list. Also more Kushina discussion. Kishi is really making it a quest to emphasize the importance of familial bonds this volume. Then again, this is probably like the first real interaction that Naruto has ever had with his father for any significant amount of time. It's not surprising.

 

Well Sasuke is apparently not liking this new display of power from Naruto. You can tell that he's really displeased with the growth that his "ex" rival has obtained. I suppose his previous apathy for the competitiveness of his relationship with Naruto has been revoked now. No doubt it's going to play a role in the upcoming chapters as he begins to turn against the Alliance.

 

Mugen Tsukuyomi already?! That's very sudden. It's actually going to begin next chapter supposedly. Well Kishi seems to be moving things along now. At a very quick pace actually. But that doesn't detract from the quality of the chapter though.

You know, call me biased or whatever, but thinking back at the cover of 616 where Sakura and Naruto were along one another, makes me think, what if, indeed, we'll see a NaruSaku combo at some point in time? Dunno, given how MinaKushi parallels NaruSaku it wouldn't seem such a crazy idea to me...

Apparently we lost our biggest argument

Okay so I don’t know if y’all caught this, but NaruSaku fans always go on and on about parallels, so let’s draw one here. 

They usually compare Sakura to Kushina, saying they are the same. Despite the fact that Naruto isn’t really like Minato personality-wise, they still claim the parallel fits perfectly.

On these two pages, Minato compares Naruto to Kushina. A parallel is made, comparing Naruto to his mother (Kushina) as opposed to Sakura being compared to Kushina. 

If you would like to draw parallels, then it’s safe to assume that in the paralleled relationship that Naruto is expected to have, Naruto will be the brash and bold one, since he is being compared to Kushina. Because of that, his partner will have to be the sky and quiet one. 

Also, Minato was inspired by Kushina’s look of determination and apparant confidence in the ability to do anything. The same way that Hinata is inspired by Naruto in his confidence and determination to never give up. Minato is inspired by Naruto in the same way.

And, for the first time, NaruHina takes over the MinaKush parallel, and the NaruSaku fans lose one of their biggest arguments.
