Saw it. I heard critics really hated the show, I haven't heard what exactly they said because I didn't want any spoilers, but here's what I think. I honestly thought it was ok, however starting from the middle season I started to dislike the show. Without spoiling the show for anyone.

Around episode 5 or 6 or even 7, not really sure when exactly this happened since I've watched all episode one after another without even looking at what episode I was watching.

Now what made me dislike the show was the fact that they gave a character, a forced importance. A character that reminded me of another fictional character that caused me to for the first time hate a fictional character. You know exactly who I'm talking about.

And from this forced importance the show started to move in different direction. In a direction which I think caused the show to fell flat on its face. I don't know about the comics, but I do have to say just because something works in the comics, that doesn't mean it will work in a show or movie. Also just like the character that I hate, they also forced something else with this character. Think of the movie that we all hate, and you'll understand.

Something else I disliked was the final villain and reveal about the villain was way to predictable. That was obvious from the very first episode. I was able to tell from the first 3 minutes.

What I would do to improve the show for season 2, would be to get rid of that character. I know that's not going to happen, but that would be absolutely fantastic if they do. This character ruined the show.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

I'll be honest I hate Ward he was the annoying a**hole of the series who hated Danny just because his parents love him unlike him because his father basically treated him like crap. But suddenly he became an important character at the end of the season (seriously I face palmed at this  ) I mean I guess it was okay that they showed that he was good but I would have prefer if he died along with his SOB father Harold i'm pleased he got decapitated and creamed  ).

Asides from Ward and Harold being the ones I hate the characters I like where Colleen, Claire obviously since she's the link that will tie all four series together and she will obviously appear in the Defenders, Davos was interesting because he was representing Kun Lun and possibly what the people of the monastery would think of Danny's action of departing from his destiny as the Iron Fist. Danny was a good character but I didn't like that there were times he became emoish and angsty (it reminded me of Sasuke ) I understand that the death of his parents traumatized him but I hated it whenever he will get like that especially when he found out the real murderer behind their deaths. Finally Madame Gao because she's an interesting character, she's a villain but at the same time she can be an odd ally (she's like an enigma sometimes) she plays mind games with Danny and the group but she pin points the truth, I did like her at Daredevil and I had a feeling she was also working with the Hand just like Nobu.

Asides the characters the action and the drama was good however, the story could have been better. If I have to rate the series from a 1 to 10 I will give it a 7.5 nice and decent.

Nostradamus@ never pay attention to the critics. The get pay to criticize that's it. They can say Avengers suck or any other great movie they will say it's bad. Point is it's not wise to pay attention to them, just find out on your own and you decide if its good or not.

I hated Ward in the beginning as well, he was just a kitten. Especially when he killed his father and started to make Danny believe it was his fault for what happened to Harold. But in the end he delivered, if he turned against Harold at the end because he actually wanted to help Danny or to help himself. We'll see.

However unlike you, I absolutely hated Collen (I honestly forgot her name after watching the show, that's how forgettable she was to me). She annoyed me so much, her forced connection to the Hand was such an asspull, her romance as well and then the continuation of it, and her behavior. One second she's telling one of her students to stop with illegal fights because that's not why she's teaching him, and then in the next episode she goes to fight in an illegal match.

Then she tells Danny, he can't kill Harold because it would poison his chi and killing is bad. And then immediately she declares she'll have to kill him. And I was like this kitten is just dumb. Claire in that moment was the only one with a brain.

She was the one that I was referring in my previous post. For me she ruined the show. I really liked how the show started, it showed promise. I liked the episode where Danny follows Ward, and meets Harold. I liked the possibility of Danny going after the Hand, but they shoved the karate chick down my throat. As soon as importance was given to her, it fell apart.

Oh and I agree with you with Danny becoming an emo at one point. But once again I blame that on the karate chick, because whenever Danny was alone or with others like Davos, Harold, Joy etc. he was different, focused on what had to be done. When he was around the karate chick, he became this angsty emotional moron.
