Is it just me or If the picture combine it looks like Sakura doing a pinky promise with Naruto ? . If yes why did they split it ? is there no version that is not split ?

It's them having pinkies crossed, but it's front and back. so when you open it, the image isn't split.

A reference in Japanese culture of how holding up your pinkie is an indication that two people are in a relationship. Naruto did this many times with Naruto and Sakura from Konohamaru as well as Gamakichi. Plus the anime had one with its filler arc with Mizuki returning, when Naruto and Pakkun thought that about Iruka and Tsubaki due to how things got heavy with them when they met up again.

You want to talk about a dysfunctional relationship done right its this one right here with Zuko's mother in the comics. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If anyone hasn't read The Search then do yourselves a favor in doing so because that finally answers the question as where she's been. 

 

 

Anyway the point of the matter Sakura as a character should've been something like this  even with The Gaiden storyline at that, but sad to say honestly. 

THIS, these comics were awesome, also I think the reason people seem to think aangxkatara seemed forced  is they never showed their couple interactions in the show, just the buildup to it, they showed them as an actual couple in the search comics.

So true!! The book has rejuvinated my love for this pair ♡ everyone involved did a wonderful job of contributing and putting it together! And I just adore the little charm~ such a dream, I can’t stop gushing lol

Yeah because it takes place after the show. How is it forced? They had a natural progression to becoming a couple and then they are a couple.

Exactly. There may be some flaws in the comics, but that scene with Ozai and Ursa? It was PERFECT.

I was of a similar disposition. I didn't become invested in them at all as a shipper until around the midpoint of Book 2(because I didn't give a damn about shipping), but even before then, it seemed pretty obvious to me since Book 1 that the writers were depicting a romantic development between them and I just treated it as a cold fact.

I have a theory on why certain fans are saying that. Probably they mean forced as in it was "forced down their throats", not because it came out of nowhere. I'm assuming they say that because it was from the get go that Aang and Katara were soul mates, and had no chance in hell to get with anyone else so they were not "flexible" in their preference. So essentially, they are just salty pairing fans like us   trollololololololololol

Bryke has also claimed the same thing during The Legend of Korra while saying how Korra and Asami were "so in love" and such to justify the ending pairing. As I said, I don't got problems with LGBTQ couples, just do them right, dammit! Like any other couple! Because all you do is bone the story by not making romance MAKE A DAMN BIT OF SENSE!!
