However, there's also more known Uchihas compared to characters from other clans, which helps boost up their popularity 

See if Kishimoto spent time on other clans and actually went in depth with them then they could also be popular, but no he likes to play safe

It's amazing that no matter how badly Kishi kittens up, no matter how kitten his work/interviews are, he always seems to out kitten himself.

Don't be silly now, there is no such thing as logic when it comes to Naruto anymore 

I knew it had many problems, but I didn't see it bad because I cared too much for the characters. Story, well, that was out of option. In biased yet not fully view, I did care for Naruto and Sakura only because what their character once set to do. Sasuke I cared but I was very afraid on how Kishi would handle it. Turns out the worst did in fact happen. I remember once Hagoromo said that Sasuke is needed, people already had bad feelings that him saving them equals all be bygone. That ended up true.

Same, I also knew it had many problems, though I didn't really want to admit it

I remember even defining it at one point...

But I had this feeling that the story and characters were going to be completely destroyed somehow as soon as my friend sent me the spoilers for the ending.  

So I found my old databook in one of the rooms, and while I was reading it my expression was going OMG so much contradictions first off Sakura's feelings were changing from Sasuke to Naruto. That was stated in the actual book and I looked at the popularity poll Sakura made 6th place while Hinata made 11 place. So again where da kitten does is the evidence that Hinata was getting popular over Sakura. All of it is just a bunch of BS thankfully I double checked myself to make sure I was being delusional about it.

Bc the NH "high" is crashing and they are starting to realize how bad the series truly is now

Trust me, I have meet a lot of people who realized how bad it was a long time ago

I guess most of the people here, including myself, were too blind to realize how bad it was.

 

This interview just showed Kishi was pressured and has no self confidence

 

He got so obsessed in beating OP he forgot about his own story

Like every other obsession, it usually doesn't end well for that person. 

He's the reason that Naruto isn't as popular as it once was, he should have just focused on his own story and not what somebody else is doing and not doing.
