I must say that from start of part 2 until the godawful kage arc, Sakura's obession with Sasuke has dramatically decreased (less annoying too) and her affection for Naruto kept growing.

 

The fact that she is all of a sudden infatuated with Sasuke again during the kage is contrived and forced writing at its best.

Yes. I truly love pre-ending Naruto. It had its problems, but I believed a solution would be brought up by the end of it. Ex; The ninja system! You should not endure oppression! Many people died so that Naruto could change the world. It was a big deal and shouldn't have happened off-panel, and even some hidens are suggesting he is a lazy ass.

 

Without this retcon there'd be a happy ending. I take comfort in that, that even though our ending isn't "canon", it's still meant to be. I'm still sad that our story got cut off tho, our characters never got to grow up. x(

At this point, yeah.

I think there's a difference, though. Hinata always to some degree revolved around Naruto...in part one she had a lot of potential to develop on her own. (Can't blame her for being inspired by Naruto, he's an inspirational character. Y'know, before the series went to hell.)

 

Sakura, while her crush on Sasuke is overdone, got strong, I think, more for her own sake, even if the thought of both Naruto and Sasuke always pushing their limits pushed her forward. And Sasuke going rogue was a big part of it, too, but it was also because Naruto was going to do whatever it took and she didn't want him to have to bear that all on his own.

Basically I don't think Sakura was all about Sasuke. Hinata on the other hand is pretty much all about Naruto. I truly think she had the potential to develop beyond him, but in part two she's even more about Naruto.

Sakura still love sasuke, unless in that period she said she doesn't love him anymore. So I don't surprise that her love will be brought up.

Naruto will probably be the most hated manga of all times

It's because it gives a strong vibe of non-accomplished things.

Funny how Sakura can fight and defeat Sasori, save Naruto's life, master medical ninjutsu and a difficult technique requiring expert chakra control for an extended period of time, punch a darned goddess, and people still say she's useless.

But Hinata trying (and failing) to save Naruto from Pain, holding Naruto's hand, and tripping over a rock is noble and worthy of hero worship.

 

Kikitten has taught us that, in life, duty and hard labor means nothing because what matters is:

• The Reputation, what people ‘say’ about you (Hinata is sweet, Sakura is a bit*h, Sasuke is “pure”);
• The Status, your family name, your background, your social position;
• The Money;
• The boobs (for the female ones).

As you can see, ladies and gentlemen, this is a major life lesson!!

 

I wish part two Hinata's minuscule character development wasn't entirely centered around Naruto.  Girl needs to stand on her own two feet.
