There's already gameplay footage, it was just recorded with a very low-res camera.
But hopefully we'll get to see actual gameplay soon, from what I'm reading it looks amazing.

I think there might be some form of "upscaling" or whatever, but it probably won't be spectacular.
But I'm glad I don't have to ditch my current collection of digital PSP games.

Sony succeeded in using the PSP to establish a space in the hand held market for itself. With this however, we are looking at potentially the first portable gaming console. They really learned from their first try and now it looks like they are going to strike gold.

And all the big name franchises, Killzone, Resistance, Uncharted. Especially Uncharted. The graphics look very similar to the first game. Which is phenomenal.


And though its being received a bit negatively, Call of Duty. Call of Duty, everywhere you go. School, Work, Church, Work, the bus/car, WORK.

Imagine going on camping trip, and whipping out COD. Wait for it...

I have a lil gripe with the 3DS because at $250 I don't think its worth it. The only real change that appeals to me is the 3D, and unless it is some really good 3D, and I mean James Cameron Avatar type kitten, where its so realistic, that im reaching out to touch kitten like a dumbass.

This is going to cost even more than the 3DS. But Leaderboards, Trophies, 3G wifi at the ready. Not to mention Near, and its capabilities. A lot of people are going to love that. Finding players around their location. All this on a handheld is major. I'm willing to shell out for that. There's a lot of other PS3/360 users who are already into that. And im not saying the 3DS is crap either. There's a good number of people (kids mostly) that play the wii happily and dont have a care for trophies and achievements, graphics etc. But Sony is going to supply to the rest of us who do like that stuff.


I will get the 3DS personally, sooner or later at a price and time where I feel it is worth it. But I want this thing asap. I didn't think it was possible to be this excited over portable gaming.

Eh, mildly impressed. Probably because I'm not a strong handheld gamer, preferring a console. Although, as a friend pointed out, if they made a Mass Effect 2 port, I'd get it. Although, if Uncharted is a launch title, is part of the story...might get it.

Sony is unwilling to discuss the price, but I'm betting its at least 350 in cash money.

I won't buy it day 1 (as with all electronics), I'll wait for any news on glitches, system problems, etc. I hate being a guinea pig for a new system only to find its flaws on day 1. But Sony has been pretty good about system failure rates, so I'll likely pre-order it when North America gets a release date.

Or I might just import.. >.>

This is what I was expecting when Nintendo announced the Next Gen Handheld, The 3DS with the exception of the 3D capabilties, did not impress me one bit, everything from the screen resolution to the spec, were underwhelming, I expected it to be atleast on par with my Mobile Phone. the Specs are what you expect in the Next Gen Handheld, it's Quad core, when phones are just going dual core, and same with GPU, Qaud core., this with a smaller screen will make games look very similar to PS3 and 360 games.

Now Sony's handheld might be the first time I am interested in a Sony Console, I never cared for the PS1, thought the PS2 was overhyped and made promises it couldn't keep, the PS3 same wthing and too expensive. Just looking at the Dpad and the analogue stick make me want the console, Sony need to use these analogue sticks in their console controllers, because the convex sticks just don't work for me. Concave have a much better grip.

If it's not region locked i'll probably import it, like I did with the original PSP, with the exchange rate, it ended up costing me only £90, when it was costing me double to buy in UK.
