^Feel good you got to see it. The glory days of my O's were long before I was even born sad.gif

Chase Utley was playing his heart out in this series, but not having Ryan Howard backing him up really cost them the game imo. Hideki Matsui pretty much won this game for them with bringing in Six RBI's. After a nine year drought the Yanks get it, congrads!

Chase Utley is a complete beast and Cliff Lee held off a potent Yankee's offense (can't say the same for A.J. Burnett with that performance). I honestly thought the Yankee's were going to comeback with that strong showing in the 8-9th inning, but they were held off. I think they were saving to win it back home though with A-Rod hitting a walk off home run.

We wanted to take it back to New York! Even when we don't try we make it close!

Barring a historic 4 run inning against Rivere which is pretty much impossible, the empire will finally get its 27th title. Im dissapointed that the Phils couldn't repeat, which is tough to do in this day & age, but Im not angry with the team. They allowed me to experience a world championship for the 1st time.

So congrats NY, enjoy it.

How is leading for more than the first half of the game an 'epic fail'? Either way, I don't mind that we lost. We lost the first 9 games agaisnt Boston last year and we all know how that turned out. It was a good game.

The PEN, the keyword is pen. The bullpen really screwed them over. Boston got the lead because a wild pitch moved youk to third and then another wild pitch gave them the lead.

ON TO GLORY!! --Click here to view--

I'll see if I can go to opening day on Friday up in Camden. Depends if anyone else is willing to go as well!!

Anyway, I have a hopeless optimism for making it to at least .500 this season!

Commissioner Bud Selig tried to put a positive spin on the disproportionate number of Phillies fans in the ballpark. "I think it's great for the sport, I really do," he said. "There's enormous interest, obviously, in Philadelphia and the fact that people travel as much as they do now. ... It's only a testament to this game's popularity."

lol, we're @ your your home opener, trolling yo team and yo city. Great game today Phils, hopefully Cole will have a nice outing on Wednesday.

Can't make it this Friday, but I wouldn't mind going to a game or two this season. True, you should probably nudge me whenever the Mariners come into town.

I never pay attention to an MLB season until after the All-Star break but the first Yankees/Sox game was definitely a fail on the part of the relief pitchers.

I know I'm probably a day late but thank you Dusty Baker, for pitching to Ablert Pujols without realizing Holliday is 1 in 16 against Harang and done.

Pujols
Colby
Yadi

First opening day win since '06, I'm going to like this year.

Also, Jason Heyward off Carlos Zambrano, smacked those Cubbies! mwahaha.gif

Adam Jones, Luke Scott and Matt Wieters are looking to bring some hope to the O's line up, but they can't score when it counts the most!! The team went 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position (Bases loaded and you can't hit a freaking single!!) and Gonzalez couldn't close out when they need to. The O's really need to work on their in field hitting with singles, bunting, opposite field hitting, etc; so they can't solely rely on single runs by players.

Ah well today should be a better day...

Got to watch about 3 games last night thanks to extra innings free preview. This time the sox pen blew it, LOL walking the leading run with the bases loaded, nice okajima.
Joba is increidble as a set up man. I never understood why they decided to F that up and ask him to start. He and Mo are perhaps the best 1-2 punch in baseball. And Big Papi needs to get a hit.

Sorry about your O's true, Adam Jones looks like the truth. But the 8th inning should have provided some insurance. Sending the runner on third home on contact was bad and then Tejada lined out with the bases juiced.

And the last game I saw was the mariners and A'a. lol it was pretty funny listening to FSNseattle getting high on Texera after the 9th. He was one ball away from giving the As a walk off walk. He blew it the next inning anyway. And there were like, 45 fans left in oakland.

I'd say the Rangers are choking, but THEY really aren't. Just Frankie Francisco. Three loses, two of them in the top of the ninth that are the result of blown saves by the same guy giving up 3 runs.
