1. Kill of a popular character in order to give them a moment. Despite this, they later established that Naruto never talked to Hinata for a couple of years afterwards.
2. (Should have been 1 but I'm lazy right now) Have Hinata make a bold declaration of her love during the invasion of Konoha. She puts the entire village in danger with this act, one Kishi himself said was suicidal, because she views Naruto as a proud failure. SHE DOESN'T BELIEVE IN HIM, AND WANTED TO CONFESS BEFORE HE DIED. This gets ignored for the rest of the story, while The Last says Naruto (in an OOC moment) did not understand the difference between romantic love and his love of ramen.
3. Various retcons and Hinata shilling in an attempt to convince people she was that good.
4. Retcons to give an origin to her crush, as well as disregarding canon.
5. Rewrite Hinata's character into being a scary mother,
6. Needed a kid to "bolt" them together
7. Rewrite Naruto's long-standing crush as him just trying to win something in regards to his rivalry with Sasuke. Why he fixated on Sakura is anyone's guess.
8. Give Hinata big boobies in Part II to make her more appealing

And 9. Turn Naruto into a seething ball of Jealousy that didn't give two kittens if the world burned to the ground because Hinata wouldn't love him and made off with another man. This is being brought in, despite the fact that Naruto had been rejected by Sakura on a regular basis since childhood in favor of Sasuke and yet he always did anything to make her happy, even if it costs him a lot of his emotional well being and always focused on more pressing issues than his feelings. This is one of the many reasons he (or rather "Nardo") is now called "the biggest scumbag"

1. If they had to do it that way, they should have let Neji die back in Part 1 and have Naruto and Hinata slowly bond over that loss. Instead they chose the worst possible time and skipped the bonding part altogether. Worse, they don't have them talk for years. THEN WHAT WAS THE POINT!?

2. The confession was lame since the two never spent time together prior to that, so it just comes off as plain foolish on Hinata's part. People who don't put on their shipping goggles would think that by love she just meant I have a crush on you

3. Hinata being a great ninja? Where are the wins? Why didn't Kishimoto show this. She can eat more ramen than Naruto? First, I don't see how that's relevant. Second, how is that supposed to even be appealing when others criticized Naruto's diet? And third, did Kishimoto EVER state this?

4. I thought the manga explained it well enough. Hinata watched him, got the crush. And didn't that Analyzer girl that used to be here admit the directors didn't realize Naruto couldn't do clones back then?

5. Which just makes me ask "What was the problem with Sakura again?"

6. It would be sweet if the word they chose didn't sound like something was done against their will and painful to boot.

Ironically this also implies he's not suited for Hinata, because if he was such a kitten to go after girls (or one) to piss off a rival (who ironically was never interested in any of them), it means he just sees them as tools to use to "own" other people. I think others have mentioned how Naruto only loved Hinata because he found a new rival with Toneri

8. This I never understood. In the manga, Hinata was always covered up very well. Even back when Sakura healed her after the failfession, they weren't especially big. As far as anime goes, she's average (and she can't stand up to the Fairy Tail girls). It did nothing to offset those eyes for me. 

The anime on the other hand REALLY went overboard with this. They certainly made Hinata a fanservice icon, which shows that her fans really have nothing but self-insert lust for her. Back in the early seasons of Shippuden, they would give Sakura some curves, but now they're determined to keep Sakura flat as a board and Hinata that classic hourglass busty figure that probably doesn't exist in real life. When you compare some of Kishimoto's sketches of the two characters as adults, you can see Sakura has fairly decent curves and Hinata doesn't lead her by an especially large margin, but SP decided to take the two to opposite extremes.

As Kishimoto himself said, he just made it up as he went along. Look at the 2016 interviews. He admits he just made it all up as the story went. The ONLY thing he planned was the Sasuke and Naruto fight. That's it.

I always thought that hinata was supposed to get over her crush on naruto just like sakura was supposed to get over sasuke. Her arc should have made her look past naruto and made her realize that there is more to her life then just pining after a boy. She could've done something about neji and the enslavement going on in her clan but nope. She could've even become a godmother to kurenais child but kitten that noise.  Wasn't kurenai the one to defend her when her father was verbally abusing her as a child but we don't even see hinata being grateful to her for that.

 

Whats more upsetting is that after neji dies, we never hear about the lower branch of the hyuga clan ever again. We don't see them in the last or in boruto. I would think that if another hyuga child was born in the lower branch during borutos generation, they would've grown up to be just as hateful and angry as part 1 neji. They would've hated privileged ass boruto and himawari so much, that it would've been a repeat of hinata vs neji during the chunin exams. But we can't have anything that would make hinata-himesama and her children look bad, can we? The absence of any other hyugas other then the main branch family has led me to believe that they were all silenced or sacrificed during the war.

 

Its honestly so sad, they turned hinata in to a needy, pathetic, bland mary sue. Like every other character in the series, hinata was just another missed oppurtunity for something better.

Yes, A lot of long time members here have constantly brought it up. HInata could be more than just her  crush on "N-Naruto-kun", but ironically do her "fans" that worship her bewbies care about that? NOPE. They just care about her being Naruto's Trophy wife that would never emasculate him and passively says "yes dear" with a smile on her face. She could have been so much more, and even had the plot devices and literary tools to be so. Yet it is only the neutral fans that look beyond shipping that acknowledge this

Such a thing is the opposite of "love" and "caring". If anything, it's one of the most insulting things she could do regarding Naruto whether she knows it or not.

Of course. If you have to rewrite the story for these two to be together, as well as the characters, it just shows that they don't fit together naturally. Naruto became the worst scumbag while Hinata was declared to be a horrible sister over the events of The Last, and for good reason.

Even during the fight with Kiba, Hinata looked more worried than most of the others, with Kakashi only judging Naruto near the end when he used his own words to him at Kiba, or how Naruto came up with the Naruto Uzumaki Barrage. Hell, she wanted him to give up after he was whaled by Neji's 8 Trigrams 64 Palms and didn't see the rest of the fight and Naruto WINNING because of her own wounds. That's why I feel NaruHina, unless Hinata got to grow, got to see Naruto is stronger than she thinks he is, JUST DOESN'T WORK.

Basically it involves Hinata trying to get Naruto in the mood, and for whatever reason he's not interested. So, she gets on the phone (with no one on) pretending to be having phone sex and talking kitten about her husband, which gets him mad and causes him to yell into the phone, declaring "You watch me, while I (BLEEP) my wife! That will show you not to mess with me!" and perhaps a very awkward night of rough sex follows.

Guys,  Mortal Kombat 11 storyline was. ON. POINT. A definite inspiration of my upcoming epic (which I still hadn't started to write down).
 
Let me tease some stuff, if you guys didn't purchase the game yet:

MK11

All the time stuff and visions Raiden received back in 9 came from the game's new antagonist, Kronika, a titan God who is the mother of Shinnok and Centrion (new character/elder god). She manipulated majority of the cast in various timelines to make sure her children become the light (Centrion) and the darkness (Shinnok) whenever they battled. She also manipulated Raiden and Liu Kang's fight which was happening EVERY, single timeline, and always resulted in Liu Kang's death. Past Raiden stopped the manipulation, after realizing he was following the same dark route as his previous present self, and wanted to save Liu Kang when he fought the Revenant Liu. That ended up with Liu Kang's destiny to be fulfilled - as an elder god, by Raiden merging his powers with Revenant Liu Kang's, reviving past Liu in the process.

 

Liu Kang, at the end, killed off Kronika. There are 3 endings: 1) if you didn't lose any rounds, Liu kills off Kronika, Raiden will recognized him as the new God of Time and will help him, now mortal. Liu will then get additional assistance from Kitana to change the timelines for a better purpose (they're canon by the way), 2) Lost one round, it will just be Liu and Raiden to fix the timelines. Lost the fight: Kronika will win by decapitating Liu Kang via Fatality.
