also sorry I haven't been on everyone, been addicted to super dragon ball heroes world mission, got it on pc and switch. also just finished watching the new netflix ultraman anime and now I'm reading the manga.

Kishi could not keep his focus and character arcs were all over the place. I don't think it's as bad as Kubo, who felt he had to give EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER a fight, but he made a plot-driven story that would have been better served with less characters and therefore less baggage. If only he had focused on Team 7 and given arcs involving side characters, a lot could have been salvaged from this mess.

Honestly I think it was the same for Kishimoto sensei as well., I think Naruto is a massive ball of editorial interference. From the pairings to the battles to the story to the ending. every bit of it stinks of a group of people constantly popping into Kishmotos cubicle and going HEy what if this happend I really think this should happen why dont you work on this character and push her in the arc.

 

On and on till the story was a mess.

Well obviously. But in Naruto's case ,what makes it worse is that the story completely derailed from the tracks,  and themes were either contradicted or subverted. At least i don't think Bleach threw what it wanted to write out the window, it was just delays because again the populartiy of  secondary characters caused the editors to demand more screen time from them

Lately, though, it feels as though editors have the worst ideas. They look at what's popular on a superficial level, but have no sense on ho to fit in these changes from its current course.

With Bleach characters like Chad, Orohime and even Uryuu were put on the sidelines, while everyone else got screentime that accomplished nothing but "Hey, this is this character's awesome power!" In the end, it felt no one mattered, not even Ichigo

 

With Kishimoto, who already didn't have an idea of where he wanted to take the story, the editors took advantage of him and forced him into making these plot points on the spot with no build-up or follow-through.

No kidding XP If someone should have been a cupid for that BS, it should have been Hiashi, as a way to make things right for his harsh treatment of Hinata in his own way to make her the proper heir she could be as well as to right the wrongs he made to Neji, Hizashi, AND the whole branch house of the Hyuga clan. Or better yet... DON'T DO THAT STUPID **** TO BEGIN WITH!!!! A pairing that needs a cupid obviously can't stand up on its own two feet, so it's goddamn ridiculous to have to do that kind of thing if you know that for a fact!!!!

 

Yup a "stupid cupid" was needed to kick start the OH SO FABLED ROMANCE of Naruto and Hinata that their fans have been harping on about for years. There was no on screen development for the couple to actually make a believable romance and EVEN SP admitted this when they made that Hinata fanatic's "wettest dream" movie called "The Last". If Naruto was always supposed to fall in love with Hinata why is that movie needed? That is the very question that even the MOST DIE HARD FANS of "Hinata and her happiness only" don't want to answer. Because let's face the facts, Naruto was a hyperactive loud mouthed simpleton that spent his time with whomever he wanted to spend his time with and Hinata was NEVER part of that list unless it was a general K11 meeting. forget asking Hinata on dates, he doesn't even have a proper conversation with her or hang out together in a casual setting. If there was one thing that Naruto always did it is that he always spends time with his most prominent loved ones and speaks his mind to them. You see that with Iruka, Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura, Jiraiya and Tsunade. But NEVER has he done that with Hinata.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

And NaruSaku bashers can say ALL they want about how Naruto only had a platonic relationship with Sakura, but then I call BS on that they either don't know what flirting is or they act that way around their "good friends only" or maybe even their siblings. They are either saying Naruto doesn't give a $#!T about flirting with Hinata because he doesn't want to or they are saying that is what platonic feelings are, "blushing around your friends asking him/her on dates, trying to impress them to make them look at you more, etc etc." Oh and I would LOVE to get this off my chest. THERE IS SOME EFFING DOUBLE STANDARD RIGHT THERE!!! If Hinata and Sakura do those things to their respective crushes, IT'S LOVE!!!!!!!! If Naruto does that to Sakura? Oh he just sees her as a sister. EFF OFF ON THAT KITTEN.

 

As for the whole "He wanted Sakura as a rivalry thing with Sasuke". Okay, lets take a look at some factors here. If Naruto just enjoyed the chase of Sakura as a prize to be won to show his triumph over Sasuke, WHY DID HE LOOK so sad and heartbroken when Sakura was crying and hugging a "just became conscious" Sasuke after his fight with Itachi instead of SEETHING with envy/rage and stating HE MUST WIN "his gold trophy" back over his ARCH-RIVAL? Why is it that when Sakura is in distress, Naruto always wants to give her emotional comfort and console if she was just something to WIN over Sasuke like a gold medal? He wouldn't be putting THAT much effort into some "floozy" he needs for only self gratification over that "hot bastard rival" that he must surpass by all means, when he hasn't given consideration like that to his "bouncy, sexy sounding dutch-wife" Hinata Hyuga that only opens her lower compartment for him like all the fans that ship them are saying.

 

In fact, the whole Sakura is just a prize to be won actually kills off the sympathetic Back story of Naruto AND his rivalry with Sasuke in the first place. WHY did Naruto start a rivalry with Sasuke? Because Sasuke was everything he was not and he wants to surpass Sasuke, but then he is just chasing some trophy wife Sasuke never even wanted at that point and would hand over to him with out a second thought or care? The rivalry with Sasuke means THAT LITTLE to him? It is not proving to Sasuke that he can and WILL be the better ninja? And the second point of wanting Sakura as a prize destroys his sympathetic back story. WHY did Naruto want to be popular? He NEVER had ANYONE in the village except for the select few pay any attention to him and almost all of them viewed him as a plague that was better off gone/dead. He wanted to be genuinely loved and accepted but now you say he was okay with stealing a fan girl from Sasuke just to one up him, when the latter had 99% of the girls in their age group swooning over him and he picks out Sakura? So he did not need love, he needed to rub in Sasuke's face that he is better than him in in seducing girls and bedding them? MAKES SENSE TO ME.

 

So in conclusion, Naruto was always "meant to love Hinata and his feelings for Sakura are shallow-minded farce" is B%*& S#!^ of EPIC PROPORTIONS that DEFEAT the message and protrayal of the story. END OF ARGUMENT

I have to go through 4 weeks of therapy to remedy it, but I did get 100% of my paid off for repairs and everything is covered. It wasn't my fault.
