TP got an enhanced port? I know it was a GCN game ported on the Wii, but... I don't see how it's enhanced.

I've been digging tumblr a lot lately.

And now I'm going to play some Skyward. Gonna redo all the Silent Realms over and over... overcoming my fears and gaining more courage... like a real hero.

Well, the graphics were slightly improved, and it offered 16:9 compatibility on the Wii, but, yeah, I suppose it wasn't really significantly improved. Hopefully my imaginary Wii U SS would be a bigger jump than that.

Playing Skyward Sword in 1080p would fill my heart with rainbows.

Nice! I actually managed to beat all of Lanayru's Silent Realm challenge times before I beat the game the first time. It probably took me 20 tries to beat that stupid volcano Silent Realm. Stupid slide...

Oh that's right. I totally forgot about the 16:9 compatibility. I might have been thinking too graphic-wise. Then again everyone went crazy around the time it was released, not to mention the surprise unveiling at E3 2004. Best E3 moment ever.

Skyward Sword should have been the same with the whole TV ratio compatibility. I was playing it on my old analog TV while my sister's friends were having Korean barbeque on the dining table, and because Skward's only got 16:9 compatibility, I couldn't read a thing on my TV. It the letters were so small and the game was tripping balls with the saturated colours.

The sand slides... LOL.

You know how there's a tear right before you run up the slide to get the top one at the beginning of the Silent Realm? I usually avoid that one and run straight to the top. The thing is, though, I don't dash to the slide before running up, so I can save my stamina. [Those Flying Guardians are pretty easy to outrun even without dashing anyways...]

Then after getting the tear at the top of the hill, I slide down to get the one that's right at the bottom [the one I avoided in the first place]. So if I get caught by a Watcher, I won't have a hard time trying to find another tear before getting my ass handed to me by a Guardian, see.

After that I get the tear that's right next to the Guardian. Just avoid the Watchers, and it's pretty easy.

And then the rest of the Silent Realm is as easy as the Wing Ceremony.

I never really thought about that, I guess I just sprinted as fast as I could and tried to avoid the stupid Watchers on that slide.

I can't remember what path I took exactly, but I remember it was a real pain on the longer of the two slides. You basically have to get all the tears on your first slide-down if you want to beat the six-minute record the dragon set up for you. I think what I ended up doing was sliding towards the middle, jumping on those geysers to get that tear, and then dashing back up the hill to get any (at least one) at a higher elevation. But man, the whole wrap-around over the rest of the level was such a pain.

So.........how's your new job going? You have yet to comment more about it (besides the new project that changes up your schedule)

It's been going well. Other than the crazy hours I've had to deal with this past week (I only got two hours of sleep last Friday ), I haven't really had too much to complain about. My coworkers are great, the work is interesting, and upper management is really easy to talk to.

Anyways, we just finished the huge assignment we were pulling crazy hours to finish, so I don't have to wake up till 8 am tomorrow morning. Which is awesome, since tonight is Bar Trivia Night! We took 3rd place last week, so we get $10 off our bill this week. Woo-hoo!

Doing Din's Silent Realm would have meant that you've already completed Nayru's. Did the previous Silent Realm not test you on your wisdom?

Thanks! I'm almost caught up on the manga, and I'd definitely say he's my favorite character so far. For some reason I have a habit of rooting for characters like him.

I thought the fact that he basically appears in every cartoon in the ending (That's all folks!) gave him an edge above Daffy and Bugs. Plus..."Porky and Beans" just seemed so fitting.

Woo-hoo! It's St. Patty's Day!


Even though I'm not Irish, it's always nice to have an excuse to go out and have fun with the college buddies. It's even nicer to have it on a Saturday this year. Last year, it was on a Thursday, and I recall being miserable at work the following Friday. I really need to learn to show some restraint...
