JoJo's Bizarre Adventure / JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. It was originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1986 to 2004, before being transferred to the monthly seinen magazine Ultra Jump in 2005. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is currently Shueisha's second largest manga series with its chapters collected into 116 tankōbon volumes and counting. Some intresting facts:

  • This manga has record as longest manga that didn't had TV adaptation (25 years without one)
  • Due to Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan in 2007 - it's second best manga of all times (Slam Dank on first place).
  • This manga as Hirohiko Araki's work was showed in Louvre, and he's only one of 5 mangaka's in history that got such oportunity to have their works in there.
  • Meeting...

  • Araki changes his drawing style in EVERY part of his manga.
  • Most likely JJBA is one of most bizzare manga/anime you will ever read/watch  :hehehe:

Let me help you how to start getting into the story, manga is diveded into 8 separated parts, that is connected by one universe and heroes, but set in different times, from XIX to present. These parts are:

  1. Phantom Blood (has anime adaptation (2012) that covered it fully in season 1 [episodes 1-9])
  2. Battle Tendency (has anime adaptation (2012) that covered it fully in season 2 [episodes 10-26])
  3. Stardust Crusaders (has anime adaptation (2014) that covered it fully in season 3-4 [episodes 1-48])
  4. Diamond Is Unbreakable (has anime adaptation (2016) that is still ongoing right now)
  5. Vento Aureo
  6. Stone Ocean
  7. Steel Ball Run
  8. JoJolion
So, about manga - despite having 884 chapters of main story - manga is fully translated, every part is standalone story in general plot. and can be found on numerous sites on the Internet, so I wish you good luck in this intresting and long bizarre adventure  :pimp:

I don't know much about Jojo Bizarre Adventure but i do hear or come across it from time to time.

but i heard there's a live-action movie coming up on 2018

I don't think fans will treat this news positively but just dropping it here.

The rumored actor that will play Jotaro is Kento Yamazaki (L from new deathnote series, ookami shoujo kuro ouji, Shigatsu wa kimi no uso, Orange, LDK, Another, Heroine Shikakku, etc)

sooooo most Jojo fans aren't too happy since the guy doesn't fit the role physically

welps.. he is very popular with the ladies so thats probably why they chose him. but who knows? his popularity might die down by that time and they choose a more suitable actor this time except if they intend to buff him up by that time lol.

First time hearing this, but Jotaro is pretty big character, and I doubt there is many japanese actors that can both have such physical build and good acting skills. But hey, thanks for info
