That's true of course, but the hints have been strong- even before :re started. Kanou has been repeatedly expressing his interest in Amon. Maybe Seidou is also alive, who knows. Most likely, Yoshimura was the donator.

I have the feeling that Urie will become an antogonist later on.

The anime is cut. Not only cut the violent scenes, but also some signicant scenes. It's better to read manga.
