Silver Spoon Season 2 has started! 

 

It's out on Crunchyroll now!

 

This will make the wait for the next manga chapter so much easier. 

 

Thanks for the links to the trailer and chapter, Codus and Shadow.     The trailer looks like it might worth giving the movie a watch, hopefully it will be subbed.  I wonder if they'll stick to a specific manga arc or try to write their own story?

 

I can't wait for the manga to return. I want to see what life is like for Hachiken now that he has his own place, and his relationship with Mikage is moving beyond the "just friends" stage.  We'll probably be seeing a lot of Mikage's angry father.

That cliffhanger!

 

This chapter was one long ride of happiness and contentment, until Hachiken's father completely derailed it at the end.  And Hachiken still has no business plan...

Hachiken's father just oozes Ominous whenever he appears.... I'm kinda glad Fuhrer King Bradley had that moustache, he's actually a lot more ferocious looking without it, as shown by Hachi's father.

Silver Spoon 94 is out!

 

Well...

That visit with Hachiken's father wasn't so bad.  I chuckled at all the reactions to his glare.  It seems that only Chestnut and Mikage are brave enough to look him in the eye!

 

It was nice to see Mikage backing Hachiken and saying she believes in him.    It seems that his father also took an interest in hearing how involved Hachiken had been in the manufacturing and selling of the sausages.

I just started watching the anime a couple of weeks ago.

This is going to be on my all-time favorite lists. It's sooooooo good.

Isn't it great?  There are so many great characters, and Arakawa's fantastic storytelling makes the manga entertaining AND informative!  I'm happy that, so far, the anime is sticking to the manga storyline.

Man I love this series partly because of the food. It actually got me to try eating Tamago kake gohan which is the rice with soy sauce and raw egg and now I just make big pots of white rice and warm it up and throw an egg in every morning for breakfast it's, tasty, filling and (the best part) cheap. I wouldn't mind if they turned the whole series into a cookbook T.T

Damn read the first few chapters of Shokugeki no Soma and now I'm super hungry. The only problem is this stuff is way beyond my kitchen skill level :c Oh well I guess I'll cook another frozen pizza >.>

Just finished all the chapters out for Shokugeki gonna start on Addicted to Curry now, but first I need to refine my cooking skills enough to make anyone who eats them orgasm.

We all know how awesome Shokugeki is, but let's not try to go off topic with it.... LOL.

 

Imagine a crossover between these two.... the school receives its food and ingredients from (Y)Ezo and they eventually go to the other's school....

Wont ever happen since Shokugeki and SS are in different publishing companies. If they were both under Shueisha, then it could happen. But some boob jokes with Aki's self-esteem plummeting while Yugo tries to comfort her is highly probable to happen if it ever happened. 

 

BTW, if you guys really want another different kind of Cooking Manga, I highly suggest Bambino! and its sequel Bambino! Secondo, as well as Nobunaga's Chef.
