Yeah, you right.  Some people tend forget that Naruto is issued WSJ which specialized on kid and teenage.

Even if they are I highly doubt that they are aiming at kids with this manga considering all the violence and adult humor in it. I say they're aiming for teens to young adults specifically.

No, weekly shonen jump is aimed to kids to teenager.
I don't really remember the exact number, but I think it range from 10 to 17 years old.
While seinen(young adult) is for 17+.

Naruto is not that violence and the humor is not that vulgar.

To be fair, it was violence until part 2 or at least toned down a lot after Immortal Arc. I think the last act of violence was with Obito's flashback. Everything else, resort to arm chopping off in a lego way.

 

Some Shounen can be brutal though. I still stand Seinen just mean more use of real event occurrence or not use the Shounen formula.

You can compare it with detective early volume.

Well Seinen would allow you to go violence in a detailed manner, while others can go violence if they wishes. Just don't expect rape in Shounen though. Well...one did apply in Shounen but who the hell knows. Seinen does use Shounen formula though they do go outside of the box, like protecting friends can be seen as a negative as well.

Just because they say it's aimed at kids and teenagers, doesn't mean it's true. @Vice is right, it's more aimed at teenagers and young adults.

And let's be perfectly honest here, the people reading Naruto, buying the ticket, buying the volumes, or reading/watching them online are a lot older than whatever shonen jump say their target audience is.

I just wish that he would have put some effort. A lot of series that is all around age, which usually come from that target audience, often can be the best. It's like how animated movies are often now taken more serious more so than being a jobber category next to comedy.

I read somewhere that togashi doesn't have assistant since he feel assistant can't draw like what he want. Maybe he's a perfectionist, it kinda explain his work.

I will add, anyone who can write great comedy gag should be kishi writer.

Sorachi plays it but now how to take a break before going banana as he is. Miura, I have no idea what's going on anymore. I can understand health and family problems, but these guys who disappeared are just getting tiring. It's no wonder they have HxH listed as completed series.
