Sasuke breaks the 4th wall and decides to become a manager in a micro-transaction business, while adopting several hobbies, such as playing squash and finding his soul mate on a dating website where he and a thousand others share an interest in fine dinning, long walks on the beach, and hold a inferiority complex.

Hmm , I do not think that Sasuke will be redeemed . In his case , Naruto is the worst person to try and save him . He was always annoyed by Naruto , always looked down on him and envied him when he started to notice his growth and that envy has turned to hate . He never acknowledged Naruto and he never will . When Naruto tried to get him back at the end of part 2 , he only increased Sasuke's hatred . Now his hatred is even more powerful and Naruto is the last person that can change that . Naruto is the air that can sustain Sasuke's fire , but the only fire he ever sustained and increased was the fire of his hatred .

After they meet in the summit arc , Sasuke decides to get Itachi's eyes so he can destroy Naruto with all his power ,that being the only way to negate what Naruto stands for . So , while he may change his mind about the village , Naruto will remain his greatest enemy .

Imo Sasuke will probably change his mind about destroying the village , but he will become like Danzo and Naruto will only be in his way . As to the outcome of the fight between them , is more likely that Naruto will win . And losing to Naruto is the last thing that Sasuke will ever accept . He will either die or pull a Madara , becoming the final villain . Redemption is just not an option , not as long as Naruto's alive .

The whole point of this story is for Sasuke to get his "redemption". It's what Naruto constantly revolves around and dedicates himself to accomplishing, of course he's going to get redeemed. The question is if it will be through death or other, more humane methods. Such as becoming a wanderer or founding his own village, maybe return to Konoha (Okay, on the latter, let me dream rolleyes.gif).

My dormant SasuNaru shipper side is compelled to disagree and counter those other points you made. Firstly, Sasuke is annoyed by everyone. He doesn't like people and never has following the massacre. While it's true Sasuke had that superiority complex and hasn't truly acknowledged Naruto in ability, he did acknowledge him as a friend in Part 1. His best friend, in fact. He even admitted it in the VotE. They bonded extremely close during the Tree Climbing exercise and it went to the point he threw his life away so Naruto could live against Haku, on instinct. It was also when he recieved the two tomoe in his Sharingan, experiencing desperation and strength to protect him ("Uchiha's love too much", remember?). He chose to abandon his dream of destroying Itachi so Naruto could be alive and he did it without complaint. This is once again reinforced when he realizes Itachi was back in Konoha and the first thing he's concerned over is not revenge on his older brother but instead a fear that Naruto would be killed by Itachi. Truth is, even though he was rude and hide his feelings, Sasuke really did love Naruto once, like a brother. He just hid that with his rivalry and tsundere-ish behavior, just like Naruto was with him until the Valley of the End.

While I can't deny his envy and jealousy over Naruto's new growth after Gaara and it was very selfish of him, I can see the reasons. Sasuke detested the idea that his best friend might be able to beat Itachi more than he could, infuriating him since it was his goal. Besides, while he has always been selfish, I have never thought completely that he only wanted revenge to make himself feel better. No doubt that's what it is now but back then ... no. Sasuke truly wanted to have retribution for his family's murder who were to him, innocent people and people he loved. He had a higher purpose other than relieving himself of his pain. Remember his hallucination in the FoD? "Father and Mother are both dead ... 'cause I wasn't strong enough to save them! I couldn't do anything ..." --> This was an indicator to me that he was not being wholly selfish. I'm not excusing him completely and I get why people don't think like this but I guess I'm just more forgiving. smile.gif

Again, I cannot disagree more with this. Naruto specifically said in the Kage Summit, "You still haven't acknowledged me yet!" This is true but this reinforces that Sasuke will acknowledge him at the end, it's only a matter of time. It's what Naruto wants and what Naruto wants is what he gets (Main character loophole). I think you're putting Sasuke's feelings for Naruto way too black-and-white. It's still in the gray. Granted, very dark gray but gray nonetheless. Naruto has proven to be the only one besides Itachi that could make him doubt himself, waver for a millisecond, and affect him to a certain extent. The Kage Summit perfectly showcased this, his ridiculously shocked expression when he called him a friend, how he once again shouted at him "Why do you care about me so much?!" like he did in the VotE (Which I will add, Naruto briefly had Sasuke stop being so stubborn and hear him out, not even looking angry. He also spared his life back then when he could have killed him, seeming to be regretful and almost apologizing. The first reunion in Part 2 when Sasuke explained why he didn't kill him, it was a half-truth).

Point is, Naruto still heavily affects Sasuke and not in a utterly negative way. He heard Naruto's story VotE 2.0 during the Kage Summit, didn't he? Even though he didn't change his mind and still said he'd kill him, Sasuke gave him the chance to speak and then decided what to do next on Naruto's terms. That is very telling IMO, especially considering how completely different he was with Kakashi and Sakura. Saying Naruto increases his hatred is hard to say. I see it but I also don't. Naruto makes him waver for a fraction of a second and that fraction of a second pisses Sasuke off even more because he doesn't want his resolve to change. He doesn't want to believe he may be wrong and Naruto might be right, it infuriates him. This is exactly why he decided to to take Itachi's eyes for the EMS, something he previously decided against because he knew what he would see is not what Itachi would want to see. He was firm about it which is why it's all the more surprising he changed his mind. He's targetting Naruto not because he truly hates him but because he wants to prove something to himself. To Sasuke, if he can muster up the resolve to kill his former best friend then it simultaneously proves to him he can destroy Konoha. Nothing will stand in his way, he has no remaining ties to the place. Naruto is still the one bond he hasn't severed completely and he can't shake it ... that's why Naruto will be the one to save him.

If you believe he'll change his mind about Konoha, then it boggles my mind how you think Naruto's an exception. Honestly, Sasuke hates Konoha more than he hates Naruto. He still cares about Naruto somewhere very, very deep under his hate and grief. Convienently, even though Danzo disagreed with Hiruzen and held resentment towards him, he also still cared for him in a sick, twisted way. Madara's the same with Hashirama, looks like and Orochimaru with Jiraiya. Sasuke parallels this. While Naruto will win, he won't be Sasuke's enemy #1 at the end. Despite that evidence shows he still feels a slight bond with him, it's been foreshadowed too many times that Naruto is the only one to save him and the SasuNaru bond will be rekindled, whether through redemption sacrifice or living redemption.

Honestly, Sasuke's hatred is weakening or at least at a weak point. He doesn't hate Konoha was much as he says and he doesn't truly hate Naruto (Though he does hate him still, obviously). Will this maybe change when Hashirama and Minato tell their story? Time will tell.

Sasuke will be redeemed, he should have some realization that there were those who did help him and still believed in him, if anything he should just realize he was being used and how he can forge his own destiny free from the past history.

Sasuke will ultimately end up respecting Naruto and Naruto would be the one defending him. Naruto will make sure either he and Sasuke both die in their fight (which won't happen) or succeed in gaining acknowledgement and they work together to bring about the end of the cycle of hatred in the climax.

As for the love triangle, just like Sasuke would realize how there were people who never gave up on him and how even Itachi put his faith in them (like Naruto), Sasuke will not just suddenly love Sakura, there could have been development in it for part 1, but the fact is Sasuke waviered and was for the majority of the manga, obsessed with one revenge or another, if anything he will turn his revenge on the leaf to revenge on Obito and Madara.

Its just a matter of time before Sakura hopefully just matures and knows the difference between an ideal love and who was actually there for her the whole time. I mean if SasuSaku came about, not only would it literally be the most rushed pair, it would come right out of the blue and merely advocate you can get what you want simply by hoping, that's just stupid. There is a difference between beliefs and actions, actions solve stuff rather than beliefs which usually have characters sitting around and beliving. If a character uses their beliefs for their actions thats better but there is nothing advocating how Sasuke should just start loving Sakura, I mean Ino loved him too, why not start having him love her instead of Sakura, see how stupid that is? Sasuke should love Sakura because they are on the same team? Thats dumb, no purpose or proper reasoning why it should start anytime soon. As we know, Sakura should feel different after last seeing him. Same with Naruto, Sasuke may be more mellow now than he was at the kage summit but the rest of team 7 and the world still sees him as the crazy revenge obsessed freak he acted like. They don't know how he changed and regardless after talking to Harshirama, he will still go fight Naruto, Orochimaru will bring the hokages, and Sasuke will get his final answer when facing Naruto most likely, I can see how the coming story will show what Madara really did to fight Harshirama and what it esculated too, and how in the end it just left Madara's hatred cursing the world. Sasuke will see how he can change and become different from Madara, be the new hope for the Uchiha clan.

There is just nothing to logically start SasuSaku at this point, if Sakura suddenly loved naruto, and Sasuke suddenly loved Sakura, and Naruto just went to Hinata, that is how stupid and broken everything would have become, kishi would not have changed anything, only the direction of the love triangle. Part of character development is changing the mentality and outlook of characters but over a good period of time, suddenly only if they have an issue with a good reason. Sakura has a good reason to change who she loved, she was ashamed at what Sasuke became but still loved him, this could change because to her, he could no longer be the Sasuke she knew and she could be convinced to let go, to see it was an idealistic crush and who supported her, this makes sense even further for the fact, we know what Sakura has shown feelings for Naruto in the past, the Yamato event, healing Hinata, and listening to her speech, she could have possibly been jealous of how Hinata did those things and how she may have been conflicted for her feelings with Naruto. Sakura cares, she just has not found an answer, even the databook says that, and as far as the manga goes, I'd say that still applies.

Sasuke is not focused on romance in anyway, his is about revenge and resolution, he has his own goal and Itachi changed him with the fact that he will still be ok with no matter what he does. Itachi basically said get revenge for me, return to the leaf, or live freely, it does not matter at this point, you are free to live your own life and I have to accept that. Sasuke's other answer will obviously be what he chooses but he needs to see the reasoning from the past that Harishrama tells him and how this relates to Madara, what the shinobi and villages really are and how family lies beyond just blood ties. Because of his unsurness from Danzo and Tobi, he always had a sense of doubt with revenge in his heart and was lost, he got to Itachi and found Itachi had his own reasons for his own fate and why he chose the path. The 3rd hokage only improved Itachi's ideals and made Sasuke see why Itachi chose his own fate after explaining to him If anything Minato may say how he felt about the Uchiha and how he was good friends with Sasuke's parents (only saying this because we know Kushina and Sasuke's mother were close friends). Sasuke will change, he has had an unsure outlook for so long, its peaked his curisoity and reasoning making him think that his revenge may lack the meaning he once thought, there are reasons beyond just history for his revenge and its up to him to decide. Sasuke can either go for revenge as he once desired or make something different for the future instead of the past. Sasuke is learning the difference between a fate you think you should do and one where you can choose. This is why SasuSaku is in my impossible in my view, there is just no logical sense for it too start again but Sakura will have closure with him and she will interact with Naruto when the time comes.

Sasuke has always struck me as a solitary person. Some of us find the most peace in solitude. If Sasuke finds his loyalty again, I think it would be perfect for him to take over for Jiraiya in traveling the world to upkeep Konoha's spy network.

Hmmm.. It seems like Sasuke is reconsidering his "o imma kill every1 of dese mofos" strategy that he so brilliantly came up with. To think that he went from suicidal psychopathic to "o I should reconsider killing" type of guy. The man has no future.

To be honest i do hope Sasuke get's redeemed by naruto though. So Naruto will be able to fulfill the promise of a lifetime smile.gif But i dont think sasuke will be staying in the village. He'll probably witness Sakura and Naruto get married and be their best man (hahah) and then leave the village to lead a life of a wanderer, asking and searching for answers, and enjoying his solitude.

Sasuke's futur hmmm...
I think he'll survive and will have new family with Karin. Karin has earned the Uzumaki family name by Kishimoto, we know that Uchiha and Uzumaki are compatible with a lot of things.
Kishi made Karin in love with Sasuke, he even create ambiguity between the 2 of them. Sasuke for example, never would save someone that he doesn't care about :

Sasuke could have run away like Juugo suggested him, but he didn't. What he was thinking at that time wasn't capture Hachibi, it was only about Karin.
I liked this panel, Karin saves Sasuke, and Sasuke saves her in return.

Than you also have this :

Just after talking about being honest with her feelings, Suigetsu talks about something she did to Sasuke in the past.
This automatically links Karin's and Sasuke's relationship. We're at the end of the manga, so it has to be something important.
It has something to do with her feelings for him.
Loved Suigetsu's words :
Something like "I want to be at Sasuke's side forever and ever".

I kinda like this pairing, and it's not just because I'm a NS, but I see a great message in it. Seeing a pairing between Uchiha and Uzumaki is like making peace, and the symbol would be their child.
Kishi could have made Karin hate Sasuke after what he did to her, but noooo... she loves him so much, and it's not just fangirling like Ino, she fell in love with him just after seeying his smiling face, it had nothing to do with his strenght or his body.
And we all know what a smiling face does mean for the one you love. Even when he wanted to kill her, she was only thinking about one wish : seeying this smiling face again.

I understand people who are saying that Karin is just fangirling about Sasuke, but it's like saying that Sakura is always mean to Naruto because she hit him all the time lol.
You can tell in serious moments that her feelings are more serious that we think. It's just Karin's caracter, she's like that, a Tsundere that is phantasming on Sasuke.
But in reality, her feelings are more deeper than that, and Kishimoto showed it in her flashback.
Can't wait about that time she did something to him. Hope Kishi will reveal that scene soon.

I think that Sasuke needs her in the futur, and Karin will do everthing what it takes for getting back this smiling face that she wanted to see so much again.
