So I just finished reading chapter 127 from Tenjou Tenge which is dawning towards the end in an epic way and I can't help but fell happy that my favorite male character on the Manga is getting a lot of screen time, if you want to know it's Masataka Takayanagi a character I can't help but see that is very underrated i mean i watched the anime first and seeing Masataka beating the kitten out of Nagi made him my favorite character and the things he does in the manga without any special power... badass then now tell me Why is such a character so underrated.
also in the forum in Mangafox there was a guy who compared Masataka to Hinata, I almost felt like smashing his face if I knew who he really was comparing a character that is overrated to a character that is underrated anyway what characters do you think are underrated in anime and manga and that you think that are awesome. Btw my favorite female in Tenjou Tenge is Maya Natsume, I'm a Masa/Maya fan FYI.

The Sanada Yukimura from Samurai Deeper Kyo right? And People don't really care about History anymore because it's the past, nonsense in my opinion, that is not caring about the past.

Do you mean characters that are unjustifiably hated or characters in series that are relatively unappreciated? I guess I'll give a go at it.

Kazuma Yagami (Kaze no Stigma) - I wish more leads would be like him instead of the spineless types we see when it comes to dealing with tsundere characters. Pity the author of the Light Novels wont get around to finishing the series (he has Leukemia) so no chance of a season 2 for the anime is disheartening.

Kenichi Shirahama (Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple) - A great example of a Shounen male lead who works hard and trains to gain his strength and power while still having a display of weakness that doesn't overshadow his good characteristics. In terms of development of character he really is a good display unlike other series where the author rushes and screws up their main character.

Munsu (Shin Angyo Onshi) - Really wish this series would be serialized in the U.S. for English translation but Korean manwha isn't that popular. A pity since Munsu is easily one of the most badass main characters in any series; acts like a pseudo Guts.

Shinji Ikari (Neon Gensis Evangelion) - He gets a lot of heat when many people can't understand his predicament. Once you fully understand his situation you have a reasonable explanation for his behavior/personality. (The only time I've hated him is in EoE, but the 2nd half of EoE is horrendous)

Tenchi Masaki (Tenchi Muyo!) - The original harem lead who didn't turn into a pansy as the stereotype was created thanks to Keitaro from Love Hina. Also powerful enough to solo 99% of any anime/manga universe with his Light Hawk Wings.

Pretty much the overall realistic portraits of Yukimura are really underrated. The man had a rather active story in the upbringing of Japan. Kinda makes me wonder why they never picked up the Crimson Spearhead. Actually....if I go there, there's a lot about the Warring States Era that isn't really picked up. Which surprises me. At least in a realistic way, unlike Sengoku Basara. Love the games, hate the show.

I only saw one anime a few months ago that actually made me sit down and watch it from the start to end. But it had Sarutobi Sasuke as the lead character...and something about a meteor...

Yeah, I abused the fast forward like crack cocaine, during those parts. UGHHHH. But the political history background was fun to learn and see in frustration.

Well, if you don't care about the past , you'll be smacking your head into a big wall called the future.

....
