Gai just purely kicked his ass, simple as that. Now, Madara is playing safe with strategy, which ultimately failed him.

Is there seriously a reasonable way for Sasuke to go to Kamui land and save Sakura beyond people thinking "SS moment incoming because reasons"?

 

After reading the chapter at no point did it occur to me that Sasuke could somehow get inside Kamui, it's only after coming here that I hear people saying it's a possibility, but I'm not given a reason for it beyond "SS moment might happen".

 

Considering that the last shot of the chapter is of a worried Obito I think that foreshadows him protecting Sakura to give closure to his character. He couldn't protect Rin so at least he saves her expy.

 

Another reason to believe that only Obito and Sakura will have to deal with Madara is that he only has half his body. I'm pretty sure Kishi made Sasuke cut Madara for the purpose of giving Obito and Sakura the necessary handicap in order to stay alive.

I found funny his argument that Sakura and Karin should switch places (Sakura with Sasuke and Karin with Naruto) lol talk about epic fail.

why I have feeling that obito will saving sakura then he lose the control of BZ , then the BZ take the rinnengan and run to madara , meanwhile  obito use his sharingan and Return  to the real world , while he dieing , he ask sakura to give his sharingan to kakashi and tells him to see the world with his eye again the world when naruto's dream Becomes true , then he die while he thinking of rin .

I think a better question is would the fanbases accept it any other way? Because the pairing wars are so...explosive like walking into a minefield, any moment that even hints at the possibility of it being a pairing moment causes massive explosions. Sometimes just the thought of a possibility that a chance for a pairing moment occurring is enough to set it off.

As for me, I don't think it is a possibility for Sasuke to go to the Kamui world, but if Kishi does do that....it would be one of the biggest asspulls Kishi has ever written.

It's funny to expect the pairing reason first and foremost rather than thinking otherwise. It's like "Boy, you really putting one on a pedestal." I understand if it's a possible, but why the only one. It should be option #52. The point is just chill. Funny, he stopped by where Kakashi is at and he may be like "So...what happened to your eye?"

Actually, does Sasuke even know what's going on. I mean if it was Naruto that saw him disappear, he will lose his cool because Sakura and even Obito are in trouble. Think about it.

Sasuke: No, he went off. He did that teleport thing. Wait until he comes back. We'll get him.

The manga still has a lot to do, I mean its the battle that needs to be done, once Madara gets his rinnegan its going to be set out battle.

 

But its just that, I mean there is always a chance sakura could die, but I feel the bigger thing to look at is well, how could some events occur in the future that otherwise would need Sakura simply because she is part of team 7? I mean kinda like how people want NH to come blindly despite stuff like 631 posing an issue, well if Sakura were to die then that would be a pointless foreshadow going forward.

 

I say Sakura's bigger defense is in well just how much is still not completed, I mean she didn't get her resolution with Sasuke not trusting him, she didn't get her resolution with naruto, obviously if that whole trust aspect comes up again well something was wrong and despite working with him, naruto has no clue about this. Yes it could always be a sign for the reader to know sasuke is up to something but also on the character side, how could sakura be impacted when sasuke tries to attack naruto after these events? It just still, wouldn't feel right either with sakura dead or hinata present despite having no relenvance to sasuke at all. Thats the what I say is Sakura's defense, theres a lot that needs to be resolved and it couldnt be resolved if she dies now could it? Seriously its just anti-climatic for kishi to give her a power up after so long, use it hardly, and then give the other 2 further powers while then just killing sakura off. It doesn't add up. This is just like 469 and 615 again, not everything is said and done, but in this cliffhanger with a potential save, dodge, wound, or death coming its leaning more on the save, wound, or dodge actions because a death on obito is known to come but it wouldn't be so sudden, otherwise sakura as a main couldnt be killed off ASAP I mean that just doesnt add much either, wouldnt naruto be impacted by this more than any other? Its perfectly reasonable to say this situation could promote a sakura-rin event in which obito doesnt want it to happen again. Sakura could endure the hit and regenerate or Obito comes into action. But the whole aspect of death on sakura when there are still other events to come, it doesn't add up, it just leaves much more unresolved and to think he would do this to a main character, even sakura, its just well shocking to imagine. I seriously dont think she is in danger given she is the most likely target (madara would otherwise assume that BZ would deal with Obito) but its again, we have been gaining hints about an end with NS, so for kishi to just kill sakura off, thats not a trolling, thats just otherwise well pointless, I mean he had small moments to make use of others like NH but he didnt so really its stuff like that there, I don't believe she is being written off.

That is true though, Sasuke doesn't know that Sakura and Obito are even in the Kamui dimension and if he does know, that is a huge stretch to the imagination.

Only after I came here to read on some of your guys opinion of this chapter I saw this possible SS scenario stuff/talk, after reading the chapter such thing never crossed my mind.

At first I was annoyed with Sasuke outshining Naruto and Naruto winning about how much it pisses him to be getting orders from Sasuke,

I wanted to know if I was just a die hard Sasuke hater or it was the same vibes you guys had after reading this chapter, but for my surprise many weren't bother by it at all they were panicking about SS and I was like WTF.

lol Well, the present is supposed to succeed where the past had failed, so you can have a Rin parallel and not have Sakura die.

Well unfortunately the only way for Sakura to escape the Kamui at the moment is Obito so either way he is the only one who can send her back and I doubt Madara is going to be so generous....unless Madara decides to take a hostage.

I would just hate Obito shielding Sakura from Madara.

I think that Kishi may want us to be shocked in a way to see Obito take the hit, because it would be the first time for him to do that. It would pretty much nailed the coffin that he's a good guy that Sakura could respect. Not that I'm saying all is forgotten, but you can say Sakura would understand that he is a nice guy, just sadly did all the wrong thing.

Put it this way, if Obito just dies, Sakura would be like, "Sad, but hey, you started this." If Obito dies doing what I think he would do, Sakura would listen to his sendoff and feel pity for him. Plus, Naruto knowing that Obito dies by Madara will fuel him more to defeat him. After all, Naruto respects his dreams and ambitions before his heyday disappear.

But anything can happen. I'm in for that direction really.
