Holy crap, amazing way to end the year. I like Gaara so it was cool seeing backstory of shukaku. Next chapter will be a NS chapter, Kuruma was extracted and Sakura will think Naruto died.

HOLY. The entire thing was great.

I loved the focus on Gaara and Shukaku, I really liked the old priest, too. And his relationship with Shukaku. As soon as I saw the kanji on each of his hands I thought, "yep... Gaara..."

I liked what White Zetsu said to Gaara. "Sand brat... Are you really that happy to get your old pet back? You won't even die if we take it, so why are you getting in our way!?" And I like that Kurama calls him "Gaara brat." These nickname thingies are the best.

And omg omg omg. THE ENDING. Kurama was extracted from Naruto!? Wow... Nice Christmas present. Right now I'm thinking that what Kurama asked from Gaara is to be his jinchuuriki until he can get back in Naruto - but that doesn't really make sense... Maybe his favour was to save Naruto? I don't even know, man... But wow, the ending... should have known Kurama would be extracted tbh. And wow, this is an even bigger cliffhanger than last year's.

We may see Sakura next chapter, since Kurama was extracted. She may think he's dead or something, hopefully we get some NS goodness.

Crap... How long do we have to wait until the next chapter...?

Do I sense an ideal opportunity for some -ahem- 'medical assistance'??     
Fanboying aside, what did Kurama have to say to Gaara before it was pulled from Naruto (instructions on how to keep him alive, perhaps)?

I do enjoy Madara's villainy - there's almost no redeemable quality in him, and it's likely he'll die without anyone trying to 'save' him. While I like the fact that Kishi has demonstrated his belief that evil (like good) is made, not born, a villain who neither wants nor deserves redemption is a refreshing change.

Gaara will play a bigger role than I first thought, it seems, though I'm predicting at least three other characters to come into play - Sakura, Sasuke, and another.

I guess it's not as bad as when we had the NaruHina moment, but seriously seeing Naruto get Kurama ripped from him was shocking. What's gonna happen to him? There's no way he'll survive for too long unless Minato jumps in and puts Dark Kurama in him or Sakura sacrifices herself to bring him back like Chiyo did with Gaara.

Well all I can say this, this is a good cliffhanger, I wasn't exactly expecting the stuff focused on gaara but this is really sad. Naruto essentially just fully trusted kurama only hours ago and now he lost him. This is something every naruto fan would never happen. My god I love this cliffhanger it's so much better than the one last year, I like how naruto is in this position thinking he lost.

This ultimately means just what will happen to him, I mean he isn't going to die but how will he get kurama back? I'll be honest when I saw the title of this chapter, I thought it could have met sakura, as like her unknown heart for naruto but we got this flashback of shukaku and his first host and how the host didn't hate shukaku. I remember this only once, how people thought shukaku was the remains of a sand priest.

But in this cliffhanger, so much better than last year. Is narutos chakra mode gone for good? No he will get it back, I feel this is the situation that he gets up from his effects later and when given the option to live on normally or take kurama back, he will because he enjoyed being a jinchurki. Kurama would also rather be revealed in naruto.

As for a ns moment next chapter? It's possible. The routes I said this could go last time are still able to happen, since route 2 isn't going to occur(that one being the one in which naruto as least was saved) then this route could be a big ns one. It's just going from all the stuff in screen, it's very possible the stuff onscreen could have 2 flashbacks, one of sakura remembering Chiyo and maybe minato or even obito remembering the uzumaki clan stamina, (well even though he wasn't present at kushinas extraction, it would be something to show the reader kinda like when Kabuto spoke of the uzumaki clan facing Sasuke and itachi, Sasuke never met Nagato or Kushina obviously so it would be an allusion to the reader.

But yes it's very possible for a ns moment next chapter, to see chiyos own words to sakura, who was there at the start to discover this, sakura could be gravely shocked next chapter. This cliffhanger isn't even pairing oriented and it's a good. I'm really anxious to see what happens next time. How will sakura, Sasuke, and the rest react, even obito? It's just, this moment we all feared in the entire series came true, kurama was extracted from naruto. Sakura learned early on that jinchurki loses tailed beast, they die. It set her with tears, now that this has happened what will the reaction be? Naruto will survive due to the uzumaki clan stamina but others don't know this save minato. All I know is this chapter will start a new naruto year in a big way, ns moment next chapter? It's possible. Just like when naruto learned of rin and how much obito was like him, naruto even talking about sakura was still in context by both their characters, this upcoming event, it's still very much possible. Well last chapter of the year, so ends this run, naruto started this year powering hinata and his friends up, now it ends with him losing his inner friend. I really wonder how sakura will react if we see this next chapter.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought of. She'll probably see his body lying motionless on the ground or something and come to the worst conclusion.

Bee isn't dead. I mean if Kurama was extracted, Gyuki may have been, too. And I don't want Bee to die, I really don't.

I really doubt sakura will sacrifice her own life for naruto like Chiyo did , not because sakura wouldn't, it's just because that ability, ones own life reincarnation, was only known by Chiyo a puppet master. I know both sakura and tsunade are talented medical ninja,but naruto has the uzumaki clan stamina, sakura isn't going to use a technique that costs her own life to bring him back. I mean Kushina had to go through childbirth and then had kurama extracted, not really a bright ordeal. Naruto only has to suffer kuramas loss. It's not that sakura wouldnt sacrifice her life for naruto, it's that she cannot, she lacks the technique, it was designed to try and invoke life into puppets but was forbidden because it cost the users own life force. Sasori most suspect did a variation of this techique to make himself a living puppet. But the techique is ultimately lost once Chiyo died.

Not necessarily, Kakashi was watching with his Sharingan.

  He could do it, and if Naruto isn't in as bad a shape as Gaara was, he could do it without dying

So Kurama got extracted from Naruto!

 

This is where Minato's Dark Kyuubi comes into play, he has no choice but to sacrifice himself and give his half of the Kyuubi to save Naruto.  Perhaps we'll also see the "gift" he wanted to give Naruto on his birthday?

 

I really wonder if we'll get some NaruSaku scenes in the next chapter.  There are ideas bouncing around in my head, but I want to wait and see what happens. ;)

Wow didn't expect the chapter to come out today... Really intense chapter, I wonder if Kurama was actually extracted from Naruto? It's going to be a long wait till the next chapter, but really good way to build suspense during the three week break. I liked the back story added for Shukaku and Gaara was good for development, I really want to know what Kurama told Gaara

This chapter brings so much options for the next chapter. I think it will have Gaara going to check on Naruto, and may as well have Sakura getting to know that Kurama was extracted from Naruto, so we'll either see her reaction or coming to aid him or both. Sasuke, Kakashi, Minato may as well know about Naruto if we Kishi wanted us to see how others will react.



For me, at this moment, I think it's an equal possibility of Naruto getting Kurama back or not. What I mean by not is that Kurama and all other Bijuu will be set free.



Maybe the Bijuu won't be immediately under Madara's control next chapter.
