Screw you, New York Giants (and Wes Welker). Your inability to play a lick of D virtually eliminated my ass.

Bah.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. At least I was relevant up until the end despite that putrid start.

And so my miracle run comes to an end, thanks Victor Cruz, I'm glad you guys collapsed again. Should've dropped Austin for Moore earlier and put him in for Washington. Grumbles.

Let's just say there will be a LOT of teams cheering for the Leatherbacks next week.

Ironically, if Illmatic loses Insurrection has the best chance to make the playoffs (assuming he wins) as opposed to All we do is lose or the McRandomsons/Wulfpack loser.

You like me! You really like me!

I'd like to win, just to get some momentum - even though that doesn't mean a thing for a paper team like this. But going 4-4 after my 4-0 start has me feeling a bit nervous. I mean, my team did its job last week (well, on the average), but True still stomped me with his receivers and the Tennessee defense. If Blount hadn't had his first two lost fumbles of the season and if the refs had gotten Harvin's TD run at the end right ... well, I still would've lost. happy.gif

I'm also disappointed that with that win, I don't hold the power of his playoff hopes in my hand. Regardless of whether I win or not he is in. I'm toast unless my guys all revert to 2007 New England and run up the score while everyone else never makes it on the field.

How could you do this to me Jordy and Dez?! I believed in you!

Week 12 Quick Recap:

Fosters Home For TDs 109.20
The Golden Thumbs 101.55
-Mik3 needs to include Tyler Palko on his Christmas Card list. Without all the gifts he gave the Pittsburgh D (3 INTs, 1 Sack, 1 Lost Fumble) the Aussie could very well have pulled it out in his return.

Gama Warriors 123.85
All we do is lose 87.65
-Memo to the rest of Illmatic's team: AARONRODGERS is getting tired of doing everything himself. A team that once looked like a lock for the playoffs, they've lost 5 straight and need to win against the front-running Leatherbacks to stay in the playoffs. Meanwhile, a belated congrats to Nee-sama on her Reggie Wayne sighting.

Leatherbacks 115.35
Ellicott Thundercats 140.50
-Well. Didn't see that coming. The Titans' D outscores everyone not named Brady and friggin' Janikowski gets 19. Way to clinch a playoff berth in style, True.

The All-49er Team 91.00
The Wulfpack 111.30
-You came close, dood. But as you said earlier, Jordy and Dez didn't show up and Wes Welker (of course) did.

Zatties! 132.80
Reavers! 111.95
-Who says working the waiver wire won't get you anywhere? In a battle of EXCLAMATION POINTS !!!1!!ONE!, Z beats R as Roy Helu (Man, I wish I had you still instead of @#$^@ Mendenhall) and Victor Cruz keep pace with Drew Brees' almost 49 points of silliness.

Sparky McRandomsons 89.60
Tokyo Raiders 82.55
-Really Ryan Fitzpatrick? The first time in about ten weeks you've been fantasy relevant, and it comes against such a bad matchup I even bench your star WR? Ugh. A stream of steady to meh performances barely eke this one out, thanks to Julio Jones laying a complete goose egg.

Current Standings here.

Mik3 pretty much hit all the relevancies earlier (not a word, I know. Whatever.), but we'll expand on it some.

To Make The Playoffs:

-All we do is lose: Win or Tie. If they lose, the Sparky McRandomsons/The Wulfpack game cannot end in a tie AND Reavers! must lose, tie, or win while scoring ~80 points less than Illmatic's losing score (AHAHAHAHA).

-Sparky McRandomsons: Win or Tie. If they lose, Reavers! must lose or tie. (Not even bothering with the 100+ point differential)

-The Wulfpack: Win. If they Tie, All we do is lose has to lose AND Reavers! have to lose or tie. If they lose, All we do is lose AND the three teams below them have to lose (Reavers!, Gama Warriors, and The All-49er Team). They only own the tiebreakers against The Golden Thumbs (+82.5 pts.), although they are only 5.85 points behind The All-49er Team.

-Reavers!: Win AND hope that All we do is lose loses AND that the Sparky McRandomsons/The Wulfpack game does NOT end in a tie. Insurrection holds points tiebreakers on all three of those teams.

-Everyone else below Reavers!: Win and hope all the teams ranked above you lose (except for the McR/'pack matchup, obviously only one can lose there) while maintaining your point advantage over the people below you. Easy, right?

My team on narutofan/forum whatever it is now is a two qb league.

Yeah, I ended up with Kevin Kolb and Orton.

Now its Tebow and Carson Palmer. Because of Ray Rice im like 6-6 with a chance to get in the playoffs though.

If I cared more about that league, I prolly could do better, but this league and my money league take up my fantasy attention.

Looks like there is a Consolation Bracket.

And it looks like Insurrection will make the Playoffs. The only question now is who will join him?

In dramatic fashion, our defending champion, The Wulfpack gets the win and the opportunity to defend his title. The Wulfpack and Reavers are in. time for the playoffs.

Now that's what you get when you draft Philip Rivers in the 1st round and he has one of his worst seasons ever. When it's on the line he gets you into the fantasy playoffs and face me!

Reavers! are this years Seahawks from last year. Kinda ironic since you are a Rams fan IIRC lol..

We limped in but held onto that 4th seed and the ThunderCats are ready to get our 2nd title!! After that first game shackling by the Leatherbacks and Tom Brady we evened the series with a BIG WIN against them and evened the series. Hopefully we get the grudge match to decide the split...

EDIT:

WOW Wulfpack is going all out in revamping his team. And he has the Baltimore D going up against the Colts and is giving 23 POINTS!?! I'm so conflicted from a Ravens fan and fantasy perspective.... sad.gif

Well, I beat True.

If I can best ronin again, it'll set up a possible Prinny Bowl III....in the loserman's bracket.

Speaking of Rivers...I squeezed into the playoffs because of that and Ryan Mathews TD run. It was close...less than two points...

Some really close match-ups for Wild-Card weekend.

#3 Zatties! vs. #6 Reavers!
-Reavers! favored by ~6

The most interesting thing to me about this match-up is someone who isn't even playing this weekend - Darren McFadden. This game is a lesson in handcuffing, as the Reavers! promptly jumped on Michael Bush once Run-DMC went down and reaped the benefits ever since.

However, while Michael Bush may be one of the biggest reasons Insurrection is in the playoffs he isn't the reason I'm picking the Reavers! to win. Those reasons would be Rob Gronkowski with a side helping of Seattle D against the Mighty Tom Brandstater. (snerk)

Of course, one thing to keep in mind here. Andre Johnson is a game time decision. Z would do well to stay glued to the computer until 12:50 EST.

#4 Ellicott Thundercats vs. #5 The Wulfpack
-Ellicott Thundercats favored by ~1

The first match-up had a rematch of the EXCLAMATION POINTS!!1!ONE! , this one features the previous winners of the Seemingly Great H&E Football League.

I'm gonna have to go with Philip Rivers in this one as he is the anti-Tony Romo; he shows up in December. Wes Welker and the Baltimore D have been enough to get him here, I expect Rivers to shred a Bills D that has been getting more and more exposed by the week.
